Theyve gone downhill in their customer service department. Weve been here for a few years. Two different animals. The last three times Ive gone in recently, have been so disappointing. Even when we started the journey of what is now going on with my dog, only one doctor was actually kind, dont even know if she still works there havent seen her since. The front desk people need an attitude adjustment (except the long term girl whos been there since I can remember, shes quiet and friendly and wants no conflicts as you can tell in her demeanor) the other one has a serious issue with dealing with people it seems and doesnt know how to smile or even seem to understand that the patients arent there to ruin her day and it is her job. Ive had a vet tech cop an attitude when I told her my dog wasnt able to perform the way she wanted to take his blood, Im sorry I know my dog and I wont jeopardize him because you cant problem solve. Just overall have not been happy and I am genuinely concerned for my dogs health as its been a longtime and we still dont have a clear handle on our problem. Ive been hearing word of mouth from people too who wont bring there animals here anymore. I see good reviews on here and it makes me happy people feel they are taking care of their pets... Instead of feeling like me, and think they are only taking care of their pockets. Everyone in there needs to lighten up a little bit and be a little more friendly. You are working with animals after all and you picked your job.

Let me start by saying that Dr Brunette is, hands down, the best vet I have ever come across. Thats why this pains me so to have to say this. After numerous times leaving this vet with much higher bills than we expected, we decided to call ahead and get a quote. My wife spoke to a lady at the office who told us that heartworm tests for our dogs would be 40 dollars each. When I was presented with a bill for 187.00 I was flabbergasted. I asked for an explanation and was told it was 55 each for the blood tests, plus 38.10 each for the "office visit". This is just for the tests, we have to have to get the medication (which you can find cheaper elsewhere). I feel deceived and will sadly be looking for another vet who is hopefully more up front with their costs. This is not about the money, this is about integrity. This is not the first time this has happened, we have regularly been told "incorrect" amounts prior to service, sometimes by hundreds of dollars. This is a $107.00 discrepancy, not a forgotten fee or two. Again, Dr Brunette is awesome, her staff should not be misquoting amounts to customers.

Absolutely horrible. We had, what we felt was a life threatening emergency with our dog and took her in to Countryside in Hamburg 30 minutes before they closed and were REFUSED TREATMENT. They refused to even look at our dog because they closed in 1/2 an hour. My poor daughter was hysterical and in tears. She thought her dog was dying and the vet was offering no assistance at all ! This is DISGUSTING!! They are clearly more concerned about getting out of work than they are your pets care. I dont know what governing body handles Veterinarians, but I assure you, I am lodging a complaint. !!! The only reason they get one star is because I cant leave ZERO. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!! UPDATE: Town & Country Vet Clinic in Brighton IMMEDIATELY took our dog in and did a complete exam and prescribed necessary medications. I have now found a new Vet !! These folks truly care and are very reasonably priced!! Drive the extra 10 miles and go somewhere where your pet is the first priority.

Countryside is a great place to bring a pet. We brought in an underweight, mistreated puggle we rescued. We were not dog people and had no idea what to do with him. They walked us through everything and gave us information regarding dog care. After his initial visit he was brought in for weigh ins and everyone adored him. He had a brief issue with anal gland and the vet took time to show us how to proceed at home to avoid paying for this service. They new we were on a budget with his health care as he was a surprise for us and did everything to ensure he was cared for correctly and the we did not go overboard with unnecessary services.

Took my 2 month old whippet puppy in for a 2nd opinion on a genetic issue. The staff was courteous, helpful, and very kind. I am a worrier, and can be over protective of my babies - the vet was very understanding, explained everything in detail without talking down at me. It is my opinion that the first reviewer may have aroused suspicion regarding their request, and that would be the cause for the poor review. I can assure whomever reads this post that this is a reputable vet and will take very good care of your pets.

Rude, snotty and discourteous desk people. This is unacceptable, especially for the prices paid for vet services. I have been going to Countryside for many, many years and am now going to find a new vet because of this. There are too many Vets in the area to be treated poorly, especially by the clerks! Goodbye Countryside.

The doctors were competent and friendly but I had a very unpleasant experience with a vet tech. Horrible attitude. Front staff is hit or miss; some are wonderful and friendly, some are not. In the end, its not worth putting up with the unpleasant people. I spend too much money on veterinary care to not be treated well.

I have been coming to for a few year now and I couldnt ask for a better vet. The staff is always able to answer questions that I have sufficiently and are able to explain my pets conditions and treatments. Great service and great people.
