I moved to Holt from Grass Lake and considering this clinic was extremely close to close to my residence, I decided to have my pets paperwork transfered there. I have 2 dogs (male and female pekingese) and a cat. I took my female dog to the clinic for a routine visit (physical, a couple shots), which ended up costing me $274. I thought it was quite expensive considering Ive been a pet owner for many years now, and never spent that much on a routine visit. The second time I visited the clinic, was when the female came down with a seasonal rash this summer. I knew exactly what she was going to need (this also happened to her last year), so I kept an eye out for what they were going to say. Indeed they prescribed the correct medications, but again VERY expensive visit. They scheduled a return visit to check up on her about 3 weeks later. What I thought was going to be just a return visit, ended up costing me $36 dollars. Ive never had a vet charge for a return visit (Im not saying all vets dont charge for this, but my personal experience is that Ive never been charged). They looked at my dog for literally 2 minutes, said she looked better, and charged my husband$36 dollars. When I called the clinic to ask why we were charged, I was answered that it was due to the "level of service they provide there". I requested that my pets documents be faxed back to my previous vet, which is in Grass Lake (about 45min drive from Holt), because I am willing to drive that much farther to get awesome veterinary service for my pets. I mentioned to the attendant I wouldnt be taking my pets there anymore, and her reply was simply "That is just fine. Have a nice day" and hung up. Im not saying this is a horrible clinic, Im saying that the service is mediocre, attendants are not always friendly, and the price is out the roof!! If youre looking for great service, with reasonable price, this clinic is NOT the place for you.

Absolutely horrible. I will never go back. They tried to get me to to have my dog spayed while she had pyrometra, for upwards of 2000$ We asked them what we could do and they gave us a antibiotic and said they would refill if need be. We gave our dog the antibiotic and she was better almost immediately. But they said we should do the surgery right while she had infection and that was wrong and very costly. We are now out of antibiotics and they want us to pay for a wellness visit again just to get more antibiotic and above all also MORE MONEY. They got mad because we found that it was cheaper for the surgery if we waited till the infection was gone. They did not like that we did our homework! We strongly recommend staying away unless you like to spend extra money.

I continue to be very pleased with the care and concern given to my dog. The entire staff is professional, friendly, and highly skilled. The ONLY "complaint" I have -- and its superficial but extremely frustrating -- is the PARKING situation at the practice. The lot is way too small for the number of people coming and going. I couldnt park in a slot, parked along the edge and then got wedged in by another patron forced to do the same. Unfortunately, since the practice is located on a busy street, on-street parking isnt an option. Theyre also basically "land-locked" so I dont see them expanding the parking lot, either. As stated above, this isnt a reflection of their ability or professionalism, just really frustrating.

We had a great experience at Caring Animal Hospital. We moved to Michigan from the East Coast in July 2016. Our adorable 9 lb. Shih Tzu, Tori didnt need her yearly vaccinations until January 2017. I started checking into finding a good Veterinarian for Tori. I heard about Caring Animal Hospital. Im so glad we went there. They were so good with Tori. She had her shots, etc. and also had to have some baby teeth pulled that never came out when the permanent teeth came in. Dr. Steele was wonderful. I have had dogs and cats all my life and have used numerous vets. I have NEVER had such great care by a vet and her entire staff. They were extremely compassionate and helpful when we were reaching end of life with our last dog. She "takes your temperature" as to how agressive in treatment and preventative care you want to be. We now have 2 dogs and 3 cats and couldnt be happier with their care. I never gotten the feeling she is chasing the dollar. She employs a very knowlegeable, empathetic and professional staff. I wouldnt consider taking my fuzzy kids anywhere else.

I cannot say enough good things about Caring Animal Hospital. The staff is always friendly and makes me feel welcome. More importantly I always feel like my dogs are getting the latest and greatest in medical treatment. Dr. Steele always takes time to address all my questions and concerns. All procedures and medicines are explained clearly as are all the options for treatment. I cannot imagine going any place else for my veterinary needs.

We have gone to Caring Animal Hospital since we brought our puppy home 12 years ago, except for the five years we lived in AZ. We have always been welcomed warmly and treated with kindness and respect. The doctors answer any questions I have and really listen. Kip has undergone surgery and teeth cleaning at Caring Animal Hopital. The name says it all; the doctors and staff sincerely care for their patients and their humans!
