I started bringing my dogs--who I consider to be family members--to Tallahassee Veterinary Hospital because I felt like just a number at the big animal hospital that I had been going to previously. Dr. Woodham and his staff treat me and my dogs like family. They are compassionate, professional, and extremely talented. Dr. Woodham and his staff saved my dog Sassys life after she had a horrific accident, providing the absolute BEST in emergency care and discussing her condition and the possible outcomes at length with me and my family. Dr. Woodham personally oversaw her transporation to and from his office and her overnight care, consulting with me multiple times a day to keep me updated and help me make decisions. Dr. Woodham also diagnosed cancer in another one of one of my dogs, Little Guy, and helped me determine which option would be best to not only save Little Guys life, but ensure that his quality of life did not suffer. Dr. Woodham coordinated an extremely complex surgery to remove the cancer--amputating his leg. Dr. Woodham directed 3 months of pre-surgery behavioral therapy to make the surgery less stressful for Little Guy; performed the surgery and dealt with significant pain management issues, and provided post-surgery care and rehab. Dr. Woodham and his staff also assist when I foster stray dogs, providing top-notch care and compassion for animals that have been seriously neglect and abused. This includes the staff going out of their way to get these dogs used to being around people. Dr. Woodham consults with specialists when appropriate, does his research, and keeps me informed as a client. I couldnt ask for more from a Veterinarian team!

I have taken my dogs to Dr;. Woodham since he first took over the practice. Dr. Woodham has always cared about his patients and their people and has never hesitated to do any extra research if needed, nor has he hesitated to refer a patient to a specialist if he felt that was best for the pet. He has been with me through some very difficult times with my dogs and has always been caring and kind to me as well as the dogs. He was there when they/we needed him to help them go over the Rainbow Bridge and he was there for me when I needed the support, as well as when we brought a new dog into the family. I also very much appreciate that Dr. Woodham will tell it like it is and give whatever options are available as well as his recommendation. The staff there are very good and kind to the animals and their people. Katy is absolutely the best and she always goes above and beyond if necessary for the animals who come in. I would not hesitate to recommend Tallahassee Veterinary Hospital to anyone.

This vet is very inexperienced and misdiagnosed my dog. She is a miniature dachshund and got bad off and couldnt walk. He told me she had a slipped disc and she would never get better. I thought I was going to have to put my dog down! I took her to another doctor for a second opinion. Theres nothing wrong with my dogs back. She has arthritis in her hips. That is a HUGE misdiagnosis!!! Im sad about this. The staff and receptionists were always so friendly and helpful, and the previous vet, an older gentleman, was very knowledgeable but doesnt practice anymore. But the new vet, David, isnt experienced enough and didnt listen to me at all. My dog couldnt walk when we went in. Today shes running and healthy. THANK GOODNESS I GOT A SECOND OPINION!

Dr. Woodham and all of the staff at Tallahassee Veterinarian Hospital are top notch. My cat had a complicated neuter surgery, but Dr. Woodham did a fantastic job and called me the next day to make sure he was doing well, something I really appreciated. I have boarded him several times as well, and he always looks happy when I pick him up, I know he is being well taken care of. I miss him, but I never worry about his care. Katy, the office manager is always knowledgeable, kind, and helpful. All of the staff cares about the animals and their owners, you can tell they love what they do. Saying you love a vet office might sound a bit extreme, but I do. A pleasure to deal with always!

Dr. Woodham, Katie, and the entire staff are just the best. As a testament to the awesomeness of this vet hospital, my dog LOVES going there. What dog actually pulls on their leash to get inside the vets office?! They are so good to the animals and the owners. My girl has some pretty severe allergy issues and Dr. Woodham has always been open and honest with his opinions, and will talk out every option with you, discussing pros/cons and financial costs of each. I highly recommend Tallahassee Veterinary Hospital for a number of reasons, but one big benefit for me is that they make appts. quickly and see you once you get there. Overall, a top-notch veterinary hospital!

When I was in Rehab with hip replacement, I knew my elderly Maine Coon Cat was near the point of needing to be put to sleep. The office staff has those who have always gone the extra mile in helping me care for my cats. One of the staff brought Buddy out to TMH Rehab and I met them in the courtyard the night before he was going to be put to sleep. I had the opportunity to say goodbye to my good friend. Ive never been treated impersonally. They know me and my pets. Another pet had surgery. The staff cared for my cat with extra tlc. I have no concern about leaving Joey and Katie in their care.

The staff is great! The 2 ladies (Ashley & Katy) that work up front are always smiling and in a good mood. The vet, David, is very thorough and caring. He takes time to explain everything and even let me look at some cells under the microscope (that he took from my dog). They are a bit more expensive that my last vet, but it is worth it! They do a great job! They also offer FREE nail clipping and anal gland expressing. I stop by ever couple of weeks and let them do the dirty work. Most places charge for that, but they do it happily for free. They take good care of my babies!

We have been more than happy with Dr. W! We started going there with our beloved Lab/Beagle mix when Dr. Cordele was there and the transition was seamless. There was about 3 times we thought Boo would need to be put down, but Dr. W kept working to figure things out...even calling us on a Saturday because he thought of something else! When it was time to stop (at age 17 1/2) he was honest with u and even came to the house when we were ready to say goodbye. now our new baby is under his care and we wouldnt think of going elsewhere. Dr. W and his entire staff are awesome!

We love Dr. David Woodham and Katie at the front desk! Good people, fabulous demeanor, honest, hard working, kind, understanding, I could go on and on. We take our two cats and husky here, and they are always remembered by name. My husband and I are always immediately remembered as well, even if not by name, but by fur-parent status. I highly recommend Tally Vet Hospital. The prices arent super low, but you are paying not only for healthcare for the furry members of your family, but for the family-like quality and care they and you receive. We will never be changing vets!
