I had a weird and terrible experience. My dog was in a lot of pain from an injury on her leg. She could barely move with out crying, it was pretty hard to go through as an owner. I called VCA, explained my situation and asked to schedule an appointment that same day because my dog needed immediate attention. The receptionist explained to me that they were booked but could possibly take us in. I told her I would not bring my dog in if she wasnt going treated right away as she was in a lot of pain and just transporting her caused her a lot of pain. She said that I would be treated right away. So we get there, and wasnt greeted for 10 minutes, even though the receptionist clearly saw us come in. They finally get us in a room waiting for the vet to come in and see her. Another lady comes in and tells me this Vet who apparently is great with dogs and has a big following cant see my dog because she is allergic to the hormone that dogs produce when they are in heat. I explained to her that she was done with her last heat 2 months prior but still couldnt see her. (Not sure if this is even true? Seems like shes in the wrong profession)The only good thing we got out of this is that they referred us to Strong Vet hospital, they were everything I could ask for. Very professional and welcoming. We were in and out in under and hour and my dog is happy and healthy now. Im sure they are decent but this left me with a very bad taste in my mouth considering the circumstances.

Dr crisp is amazing! My dog is 15 years old with bad arthritis. Was limping very bad and could barely stand. Along with other problems I was very close to giving up after going to another vet and being told that there was nothing they could do I came to Dr Crisp. I work at a Meijer pharmacy and was recommended by several of my customers while picking up scripts for their fur babies. I fill their scrips often and if I ever have to call they always work with me! Sometimes they are busy, but I can see why! Long story short, I have a brand new dog! After x-rays, blood test, and a good medication regiment, Hes walking good, exploring even. We were able to go on a short hike like old times. Hes happy, and meets me at the door again when I come home. Dr. Crisp calls to check in on Buddy sometimes jus to say hi n see how hes doing. She calls me in a timely fashion with all lab/test results. She honestly loves what she does, and it shows! Because of her I get to enjoy a lil more time with my Buddy. <3

I recently moved to the area and have been taking my dog to see Dr. Pratt at the VCA Beech Road. She is great with my dog and gets right down on the floor with him (no placing him on the slippery metal exam table) to make him feel more comfortable, and he absolutely loves her. She explains everything very well and gives clear directions on anything that I need to do after the visit. She called the night after my dog had surgery to check up on him, and is always able to fit us in for an appointment. The staff is also great and very thorough. Take your pet to Dr. Pratt and you wont be disappointed.

Dr. Crisp is a great vet. Shes knowledgeable, she listens, and she really seems to care. My dachshund has had back problems, and I ended up with a sick 6-week-old kitten at one point, and she personally called me several times to check in on the two of them. She also answers questions via e-mail, which is great.I like the office staff, too. Good people. Good care.

Love Dr. Crisp and Dr. Anderson. I have had to take at least two of my pets there unexpectedly , and they fit them in that day. They have always explained my options, treatment plans, and thus what I was looking at monetarily. Have been taking my cats and dog there for about six years, and will continue to do so! VCA confirmed an appointment and then apparently forgot to put us on the schedule. When I showed up they looked at me like I was lost and were not accommodating at all. Their proposed solution was to come back next week. If you value your time, you might want to look elsewhere for vet care.

I took my cat here several years ago. He was over 17 years old, and had an infection for which he should have been euthanized. The doctors, however, performed unnecessary surgery, and he died a really horrible death which he didnt deserve. Take your pet somewhere else.

Very good care. I know they work with at least one rescue group and I respect that. Mondays and Thursday seem to be quite busy. In fact, another vet has joined the team. There is a separate waiting room for cats. All the staff is very friendly and helpful.
