I went here on 3 occasions.. first was the "Complementary Physical Exam" for first time patients. That free exam cost me just under $200. Second visit I "got smart" (or so I thought) and called ahead... I asked how much to clean my jack russell terriers teeth... I was told $100 so I made an appointment. At the finish of the appointment I was told that my balance was 420-some dollars. I told them I had been told it was only $100 and was then told.. oh, well we have to put dogs under for that and there are other additional charges for all the "other things" that go along with the cleaning. I dont know why I did not raise holy hell but I just put it on my credit card. Being a glutton for punishment, I went here for the last and final time. My fur baby had developed a tumor on his bottom. The vet looked at him and said that at their location they would not do surgery and that where it was at, it was basically inoperable. They apologize and say with teary eyes that I just have to accept his death ( and another ridiculously high charge). I was told they would call to check up on him. Nobody ever even called. He lived for more than three years after their "death sentence". My son recently got a puppy and took him there for the "Complementary Exam" and his free exam was just over $150. If I had known he was going to take the pup there I would have warned him. I will NEVER EVER EVER EVER take any other fur baby of mine to this facility & I warn everyone I know about their deceptive practices.

I took my 2 medium size dogs here for 6 years before I moved to New York for 4 years. Recently Ive moved back to the Grand Rapids area and within the first week I made appts for my dogs to get physicals and reacquaint them/myself with the office. The staff and doctors havent changed since Ive been gone; they are still AWESOME, kind, compassionate, and knowledgeable. Before I moved 1 of my dogs required ACL surgery (performed by Dr. Gumms) 4 years later my dog swims, runs, and hikes miles with me without any issues (I followed the strict instructions that Dandy Acres gave me for rehabilitation). I cannot overstate enough how happy I am to be back in Michigan and able to go back to Dandy Acres, even if its 2 hours away!

My husband and I got a puppy a few months ago. When we asked for vet referrals in the South Lyon/Novi area, we kept getting the same response - Dandy Acres! We have been taking our dog Oliver here for multiple visits, check-ups, etc. and it has exceeded our expectations! They always get us in right away and are very flexible with their appointments. The later nights and Saturdays are great with our work schedules. Best of all, the vets and staff are all tremendous. You can tell they all really love animals. They go out of their way to offer advice, tips, tricks for training, that you wouldnt find at other vets. Love them! Highly recommended!

Called to have our dogs (Rottweiler & French Bulldog) boarded for our wedding on a friends recommendation. We were told that the French Bulldog was able to come but not the Rottweiler due them not taking "power breeds". When asked if they took Golden Retrievers or Labs we were told yes so clearly this is because he is a Rottweiler. We have been breed shamed on multiple occasions and I normally attributed it to lack of knowledge or just plain ignorance. Never did I anticipate having to deal with this from a veterinarian or so called "dog people". I will be spreading this information on as many social media outlets as possible

I have been going to Dandy Acres for about a year. My puppy is a rescue. I found the staff to be extremely knowledgeable and helpful. I really like that the lobby is calm. Most recently I met the owners son, who worked the front desk. He was very professional and caring. I plan to bring my dog to the day care camp they recently started. I really like it there and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a quality place for the care of their pet. The vets are all top notch. I trust them and always feel great bringing my pet there.

We recently got a new puppy and took him to Dandy Acres (first time ever visiting the place). Great people with big smiles, no pushing products but have everything available in case we need to get something. The pet lodge on the back is an added comfort as well. Great place, calm and stress free experience. We are lucky to find this place so close to where we live.
