I was unhappy with my entire experience with these optometrists at the Lenscrafters in Burnsville Center. I felt that the exam was rushed and not nearly as thorough as doctors I have visited. My hunch of the hurried exam was confirmed when my new contacts prescription provided me blurred vision and headaches. I returned after a week and half for my follow up and they reviewed my vision and said they had missed some astigmatism affecting my vision (even though I have a history of astigmatism). They provided a new prescription which still does not provide the clarity I had with my old contacts. I returned for a second follow up which was a waste of my time considering I was only in the exam room for about 90 seconds before they sent me on my way. The charge for these services was also about double the price that I have typically paid for an exam and contact fitting. The price I was quoted was very reasonable, unfortunately I overlooked one line that had a "TBD" as the price. It turns out this "TBD" caused the priced quoted to me to almost double. When I asked what I was being charged for, the answer was vague... which leads me to my next point. I use a flexible spending account through my employer for health related purchases- most of you will know this requires an itemized receipt to substantiate the purchase. I was handed a credit card receipt and was greeted with an obvious eye roll when I asked to get a copy of the itemized receipt. The same thing happened when I purchased the contacts. I was handed an credit card receipt and told I would have to sit and wait while they went through the hassle of entering the information into the computer to provide me the itemized receipt. Finally, I explicitly asked for a copy of my prescription. First because I like to keep a copy of my health records, and second because I had no intention of returning to this location. I got a defensive reaction and was told I would have to sit and wait 30-45 minutes while they entered the information in the computer and got the doctor to sign it. Im sure they would have just said no if it wasnt required by law to provide it to me. So they just made it as inconvenient as possible. Every other place I have gone to, the doctor had the signed prescription for me as I walked out of the exam room. So in summary- a rushed exam with poor results, high price for exam, hassle to get itemized receipt for insurance/FSA purposes, nearly impossible to get a copy of your prescription. Needless to say, I will be finding a new doctor next year.

I was very happy with my experience at this location. The exam was very thorough and the Dr. addressed all my needs. Myself and my son have contacts and was very happy that they addressed that contacts are medical devices so my son understood the importance of cleaning and taking care of his contacts. The price was well worth it!!!! The staff is excellent as well as the Dr.s I will return to this location every year with my entire family!!!

Friendly staff and updated equipment that gives a very detailed inspection. I do wish they would wave the $25 fee for the dilation part of it, which is a deeper analysis of your eye health, at $120.00 without that analysis is a little steep for those that pay out of pocket. Why would that not be apart of a "comprehensive" eye exam? Other than that it was a comfortable experience and i would definitely go back to them for my next exam.
