My cats and I have been a client of the clinic since 2005. I have always been pleased with the service and compassion of the doctors and staff. My personal favorites include Doctors Knapp, Lewis and Evans, and the staff assistance from Laura and Dawn. On a recent visit in 2011 dealing with a cat and cancer, the staff moved quickly to perform tests and provide referrals to the University of MN Oncology. They never rushed me along, allowing me time to spend with my cat in the office. In addition to this experience, over the course of 5 years, 1 of my cats also had surgery and 2 dental services performed at the office. The staff got to know my big furry kitty - the moment he entered crying from his carrier, everyone knew who arrived. Prices are reasonable, and like most service providers, payment is due when services are rendered. My only suggestions: have a larger waiting area with a separate area for cats (a challenge I know). Your cat is usually stressed enough going to the vet, and adding loud dogs to the mix makes it worse. The waiting room is small if it is busy, but it is an older and established office. And this one is for every veterinary office - start offering and encouraging natural and healthy food alternatives. I for one do not recommend any of the typical vet diets from Science Diet or Royal Canin, and nearly every vet office sells them. The doctors I personally recommend have been there all the years I have been a client. I would recommend Century Animal Clinic, especially over any of the chain style businesses (i.e. Vetsmart).

I have never written a review for a Veterinarian or a clinic before but, I feel I must. It is a long story but, I found out about Dr. Hollibush through a friend. My dog needed emergency surgery or else he would have perished within hours. Even though Dr. Hollibush was not my vet ( at the time), he had never met my dog or me he stayed after hours and saved my dogs life. The clinic is small but, the staff is extremely knowledgeable and skilled. They are caring, kind and affordable. They are genuine down to earth, friendly and knowledgeable. I felt welcomed, comforted by the procedure and overwhelmed by the compassion of the staff. There are Vets that are good with animals and vets that are good with people and I have to say that Dr. Hollibush is extraordinary with both. I am a client for life. I would never trust my animals to anyone else ever. I was very fortunate to find Century Animal Clinic. I found out the hard way that the vet I had gone to for over 15 years was not equipped nor did they show compassion for me or my animal when an emergency presented itself. I can only say dont wait to have an emergency to find a fantastic vet that will go the extra mile. Try Century Animal Clinic and you will not be sorry.

Best! Its been 12 years of service for my "baby boy" Golden Doddle. When he was a puppy he needed extensive surgery to ensure an enjoyable life. I was 22, just bought my 1st house and had little money and needed to find 6K for a UofM surgeon to do the work. I constantly worried about him after the surgery and brought him in frequently, they barely charged me even though they didnt make money from the surgery. He is almost 13 and likely has cancer. Dr. Lewis saw him over the years and gives you the factual information you need to make the right decision without any pressure or guilt. She also helped him recover from a Lymes bout that almost killed him. She was injured herself at a recent visit and rather than have my "baby boy" get up on the table, she got on the ground to draw his blood. While all the staff there have been friendly and good Dr. Lewis is by far the best. She cares so much about animals that I have been able to see the toll it can take after the 12 years. You will find "prettier places", but you wont find better care. Thanks to Dr. Lewis and the staff for being caring, kind, and good at your job to take care of my "baby boy" over the years.

Besides having to wait at least 15 minutes in a small waiting room with uncomfortable chairs, the doctors abilities/motives are questionable. Example 1: My newly acquired Katrina dog started coughing and spitting up after a few days here. Doc said we gotta do this expensive test to determine what the problem was. OK. After the test she said everything was normal, and it was probably just "kennel cough" and itll go away in a day or 2. Hmmm... knowing the history of the dog, wouldnt she offer that as a possibility before the expensive test? Example 2: My newly acquired kitten had what turned out to be ringworm. The doctor had to pull out her medical books to determine what it was. During the tests, she asked my help in the diagnosis ... like Im the doctor here? Then, she made it sound like ringworm was just short of impossible to cure. I left there completely depressed thinking it was hopeless. Luckily, I talked to the shelter I got sweet kitten from, and they offered oral meds and assurance that it would go away... it did. After that, I vowed never to go the Century Animal Clinic again!

This is absolutely the best animal clinic around! We have taken our cat here for check-ups, shots, sick visits and finally on December 2nd to bid our dear Obie farewell. My husband and I were treated with utmost respect and heartfelt emotion toward us during that difficult visit. Im sure that they have put many, many animals to sleep throughout the years, because it showed in their tender care for him until the end. They gave us the time that we needed with him to say our final good-byes and left us alone until we were ready to leave. THEN a day or so ago, we received the most beautiful card, a sympathy card in the mail, from Dr. Susan Lewis and the animal clinic staff. Not only did it have a wonderful sentiment but she also wrote a personal note to us, AND made mention of our dear Obie. My husband and I were so deeply touched by this simple act of kindness and we will keep it next to Obies paw prints forever! Kudos to ALL of you and God Bless!

I an new to this vet clinic & have been to the Posh & Pricey....just south...of Oakdale! CENTURY ANIMAL CLINIC is the best. Ive never had such personalized, honest & reasonably priced services. DR.SUSAN LEWIS has been so sincere, caring & has called to check on BOTH my pals- Rico & Brady more times than I can count on 2 hands. All options, pricing, & honest choices for care were offered-NOT-persuaded or threatened of bad outcomes. When my Rico worsened over the weekend Dr ZiPPERLY, ALONG with NICK at Lk. ELMO pharmacy....Worked diligently & swift, to obtain a rare, (needed to be compounded drug)..which Dr. SUSAN pre-approved & had the presription written incase Rico took a turn for worse.... I believe this saved my lil Ricos life! Thank you to ALL staff at Century Animal Clinic who worked so hard on a sat am to ensure Rico had a chance!!
