Unfortunately, from beginning to end this practice has thoroughly disappointed me. Reception has no idea how to advise you on when to schedule your appointments and screws them up anyway. The appointments are very hard to get unless you call months in advance (who wants to do that when theyre not even sure if theyre pregnant or not yet!?) The medical assistant that worked with me seemed very incompetent: she weighed me for my initial weight with my snow boots, snow coat, hat, gloves, and purse! (Think that is an accurate weight!?) furthermore, she didnt even acknowledge my husband when she showed us to the room, nor did she read the medical history questionnaire I spent a lot of time filling out -asking me the same questions over again! When I went to leave my urine sample in the door in the bathroom... someone elses was in there! I could see her name and address (talk about patient confidentiality, huh!?) Then when I tried to have my records faxed to another facility for transfer of care I was met with resistance and accusations from the office staff. And to think their claim to fame is their Pampered Pregnancy.... did not feel pampered at all. I receive loads better healthcare service from my Dentist. Overall it was an awful experience. The nurse practitioner there was the only relief of what would have been the first time I would have walked out on a medical appointment: she was very sincere and introduced herself to both my husband & I and congratulated us both, which was much appreciated. Too bad she works for this practice though. Please women... consider my warning before choosing to go to this practice. As a first time mommy-to-be I was very disheartened by this place.

Too many problems here. 1) Had trouble getting my clinic to transfer over the med files, and when they did, they said they didnt have enough. They never helped me contact my old clinic to figure it out; I had to do it myself. 2) With really bad headaches and migraines, I called about 10 times saying that the meds they gave me were not enough at times. They didnt do anything until I had to make an ER run for excruciating pain. 3) Finally got a new prescription, and the doc put the wrong amount on the prescription and didnt sign it, so I had to drive there again to get the right one. Kind of hard when youre constantly suffering migraines. 4) Called to make sure my ultrasound would be after my exam so my husband would know when to show up. I get there, and they tell me my doc is on call in the hospital and I might not have an exam afterwards. They also tell me the ultrasound is first, and that I cant wait for my husband to get there. They dont apologize until I tell them Im upset, and even then, the receptionist gives me attitude. Overall, bad experience and bad customer service. I certainly did not feel pampered with this clinic to say the least. The only reason I transferred was so I could deliver at Woodwinds. My last clinic was much more helpful, even considering that they werent always perfect and made some mistakes - and that even includes not knowing that I had a blood clot for several weeks. The nurses and staff never gave me attitude at my old clinic, and they made sure to apologize and try to correct the situation when there was a mistake. This office did not do that.

If I could give zero stars I would. These people were horrible. There were a couple of nice people in the office, but for the most part they were rude, condescending, and irresponsible. A few of the many examples: The receptionist spoke loud enough for the reception room to hear when she was discussing my personal information (HIPPA violation anyone??), my doctor told me that I should be retested for any STDs incase my husband was cheating on me, when I asked for help due to pain from my C-section I was told that I shouldnt need it because the person I was talking to went through a C-section also and didnt experience the same problems, (turns out I had a horrible infection), and when I was in labor for 30+ hours my doctor was at the hospital for her shift but did not come in to see me. I ended up having an emergency C-section with the doctor who came in for his shift after hers ended. My C-section took an extra few hours and I lost a lot of blood, for whatever reason. AVOID THESE PEOPLE!!! THEYRE AWFUL!!

I have not been too impressed so far. At my first appointment to discuss infertility, the CNP was very nice. She prescribed Provera and answered a lot of my questions. I felt absolutely awful while taking it--extremely depressed, nauseous, dizzy. I called the nurse line and talked to one nurse who was pretty rude but then another one who was very friendly. However, I had some concerns after taking the Provera, so I called on Saturday morning to talk to someone about it. The clinic is not open, but the answering service said I should speak with the on-call doctor. He called me back a few minutes later and I briefly explained my concerns. He responded, "Is this actually an emergency? No. How about you call back during normal business hours." I could not believe how rude he was. No, it was not an emergency; if it were, I would have gone to the ER. But a little more bedside manner would have been appreciated. I am strongly considering transferring to a different clinic.

I have read the reviews on the Internet for CHCW and I am puzzled if some of those doing the reviews went to the same place I did? I have been a patient of Comprehensive Health Care for Women since the mid-90s. The majority of the time I have seen Dr. Sam Arnold. I have always felt 100% cared for and secure with all my visits, which started as routine annual exams in about 1995 or so, through surgical procedures, menapause issues and more. The staff is caring and professional. Things like blood work and ultrasounds were without drama or incident. Dr. Arnold is professional, caring and remembers every detail in my chart, year after year. I have since moved from the Woodbury area, but make the 2+ hour trip for checkups because the overall experience is worth it. My husband is also a physician, so I have a perhaps more critical eye for excellence too. Very happy with my experience with very caring and detail oriented staff and physicians.

I have been a patient for over 2 years at CHFW and I love it here. I switched to them at 31 weeks (from a large multiple-office practice) with my first child, and have stayed with them since. I am currently pregnant with #2 and have been very happy with my doctors while a patient here. Everyone I have met here (nurses, reception, doctors etc) have all been extremely helpful, happy, and willing to answer my questions - I have never had a bad experience. Dr. Arnold didnt deliver my first since he wasnt on call that day, but he came into see me and the baby and say congratulations the next day. I thought it was very thoughtful and meant a lot to me as first time mom.

The office staff and Office management is horrible. My child was delivered by default by these physicians in a emergency c section, and I thought that they would be a good fit to continue care with-- many issues were overlooked during my time being seen there and 2 1/2 years after my initial treatment for pelvic pain- I have lost my uterus, right ovary, and cervix due to severe endometriosis. Which I was told was all in my "head". I am grateful I left and got a second opinion. I recommend you do too. There are clinics with respectful staff, and Drs that are more attentive out there.
