Our Dr referred me to the Vision Clinic to get glasses for my two year old. The selection of frames available were not sturdy enough for a child, however, it was necessary for us to have Medicaid pay for the frames, so we got them there, as Vision Clinic accepts Medicaid. The FOURTH day the glasses frame broke with nothing more than average handling. Although they were very courteous about replacing the frames without any hassle, the second pair was easily bent THREE days later, repaired at our Dr in Branson, and then broken two weeks later. What a hassle and waste of time. Cheaply made childrens frames are a problem-this is our third child in glasses, and we have experienced this quality problem at numerous clinics that accept Medicaid. When I went to the store where I now purchase all of my other childrens frames, I was pleased to see a selection of real, sturdy frames intended for toddlers. Although I will pay out of pocket for them as I do with all my kids, it is better than the frustration and disappointment of accepting the cheaply made frames that are carried to offer Medicaid assisted patients. If you have to offer cheap product to avoid taking a loss with Medicaids payout to your store, you should simply not accept Medicaid. Quality should be for all clients...even those on Medicaid.

Theres a lot of very good comments about the Vision Clinic, I however did not see any. Everything started off pretty well. I had a wait time to see anyone, but thats normal. It was however a little annoying that they didnt have a room ready after my pre exam. My biggest problem was after the exam. The staff is not very knowledgeable. I wear biweekly contact lenses, has identified by everyone including the doctor I saw at the Vision Clinic, for some reason they have set to order has a monthly lense. This created quite the issue. I originally intended to only buy a 6 month supply but was talked to into a years worth when they said how great of a deal it was. Everyone seemed blown away upon finding that their system was wrong. None of them thought to read the full prescription that clearly stated the instructions on how to distribute my contacts. If you do decide to go here be sure to double check what they give you and they order it. The people that work are very nice but I have very little confidence in their ability to take care of vision needs and will most certainly not being going back.

What a rip-off! The Opt-map they do is $34.00 and they ask if you want them to bill it to your insurance. Then they bill $81.00 to your insurance co. They told me I owed $81.00 from 2 years ago. They do NOT o.k. this procedure with your insurance. You get stuck paying it. So now I have used my insurance plus paid $149.00 outrageous pocket and I do not get glasses because that was another $105.00. I picked out a pair of cheap frames outrageous of their Budget Room and I have Blue Cross insurance but I cannot afford glasses. I paid what I owed and left. I told her I could not afford to get glasses that with gas to go there and $149.00 to them I was broke. Marry Christmas!

Ive been going to the Vision Clinic for many years. Dr Herndon was always the doctor I saw for my vision exams when I was getting glasses. But there have been occasions when I have had eye injuries or infections in my eyes when he was not available. On those times I have seen Dr Lewis and most recently Dr Plank. All have been very concerned about me and my present situation. Ive recently had a virus in one of my eyes and have seen Dr Plank with it. He has been very thorough and concerned during my healing process. All of the ladies in the office have been very friendly and helpful. I recommend the Vision Clinic to all my friends.

This place was recommended to me by some friends, because I desperately needed some more glasses after losing mine. The overall experience was nothing short of fantastic. You get assigned a personal optician and they help you find what youre looking for and enjoy the experience while youre there. One of the best experiences I have ever had purchasing a pair of frames, alongside of the fact that they have designer frames that you cannot get anywhere else in the Springfield area. Please do yourself a favor and check them out if youre due for a new pair.

I walked out of my scheduled annual eye exam feeling I had received the best exam I have ever had. Everyone was bright, friendly, and very helpful. The Clinic has a sharp, clean design. The tech was efficient, personable and clearly stated the purpose of each state of the art exam. Dr Thomas topped it off explaining the health of my eyes and how she will start a baseline to check for any future changes. It became even better when my insurance did a great job in covering the exam. Thanks, Dr Thomas.

I was treated with respect and everyone was friendly and caring. Time was spent with me and no one tried to rush the visit. I wanted to stay on budget for glasses and Tamara was understanding and didnt try to up-sell me with a bunch of add-ons, or expensive frames. She took the time to explain how progressive lenses are made and how they work. Dr. Plank was super good too. The only thing I didnt like is it takes a couple of weeks to get my glasses. I can hardly wait!

The office staff is wonderful. The technology and advancements the Vision Clinic uses to test and diagnose help with eye health, they arent just focused on prescriptions. Dr. Brad Lewis is very knowledgeable, personable and I would highly recommend him. I have multiple health issues and medications that affect eyesight. He has understood each of them and taken time with me during appointments to help me understand and answer questions. I am so thankful that I found him!

The Vision Clinic is great for parents who need to work the family in on one visit. They schedule us one right after the other and Dr. Mitzi Lewis takes her time with my children and does an amazing job! She seriously is the best!!! When choosing your glasses their team of experts take the time to get the right frame in the right price your looking for without pushing you to high price frames you dont want. They truly are a great team!

I always have the best visits here. Not only are they fast but they are also very accurate. Everything is very clean and the environment is relaxing. The workers are very nice and helpful as well. Their selection is huge and they have something for every price range. I came in today and got exactly what I wanted for a low cost. The only thing I would change is that the glasses were arranged by prices instead of brand.

These are the most personable people I think Ive ever encountered in a building full of I, I mean, eye things. The optometry staff is amazing at explanations and the retail staff is fantastic at hellos...sorry, I havent interacted more than that with the retail part yet. I think youll appreciate the warmth and the comfort of the environment and, more often than not, a wait that isnt much of that!
