I love the Christian atmosphere! I have been a patient at Charlotte Dentistry for 3 years now. I am a Christian and was recommended from one of my friends at work who is also a Christian. The first thing that impressed me was thier website. At the bottom stated Matthew 7:12, "treat people the same way you want them to treat you, and the Christian Radio station links. At my first visit I was impressed by the kindness of receptionist and the cleanliness of the waiting room. As I went in for my visit everyone was so nice. After every visit i was and still am 100% pleased! (They treat you like a patient should be treated!) Not like.. Ok, MasterCard or Visa. Thank you! Come again.... Next!" Love the Christian music, Christian literature and magazines there. I give all the doctors, dental assistants, the entire office and staff seventy times seven stars! I believe that Charlotte Dentistry is so successful today is because the business has been given over to God and made God the "Boss," of the buisness. Once you give all the glory and honor and praise to the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ the buisness will succeed! Like in the movie Flywheel, If the business goes under, then it is because God allowed it; if the business succeeds it will be because God saved it... all he desires is to finish well by honoring God with the way he conducts his business, and indeed to honor God in all of his relationships. The way you live your life reflects on other people! Charlotte Dentistry is the roll model of all dentistry practices! ΙΧΘΥΣ

My first visit was on 01/10/14. The dental hygienist suggested me to do scaling and root planning and told me that my insurance covered 100%. she even showed me $0 in their system and had a print out for me. I told her that I didnt like to do it because of the pain. My second visit was on 08/15/14. The other hygienist suggested me again that if she were me, she would do scaling and root planning this year because I didnt need to pay anything. Insurance would cover all. So I took this treatment on my third and fourth visit. In all 3 visits, none of them told me this was only an estimate, its possible my insurance only pay a small amount. None of them told me that you should call your insurance and confirm. I trusted that $0 on their computer and believed that my insurance would cover 100%. Now the result is, right after I completed my fourth visit, they told me that my insurance only cover less than 20% and ask me to pay the rest. If they said one single word its only an estimate, I would definitely call my insurance and cancel my appointment. Is it ridiculous that they are proud of serving Charlotte for 36 years but they claimed the didt know about insurance fee schedule. Im very disappointed for a dentistry who has Matthew on their business card, "Treat others as you would have them treat you". Thats an expensive lesson for me. I would not recommend this dentistry to anyone, or if you insist to go, please call your insurance first.

to Celticfan ok, this reveiw is not paid for and i am a true person. I LOVE ARMSTRONG AND ESHLEMAN!!! I have been coming here since 1988-I was 8-and I never, NEVER (I did once when i didnt have insurance, learned my lesson the hard way and paid cash from that point on to armstrong) want to go to anyone else. Dr. Armstrong worked on me until i was in my teens and then the practice grew. I dont know if its in their training but every last one of those dentist are gentle, patient and kind. I fell asleep on a root canal. When i was pregnant with my youngest, I made a mistake to go to another dentist because of the type of insurance i had. The dentist attempted to pull my tooth and became impatient because i was in so much pain due to low navacaine(?) amounts so he decided to just leave my tooth half extracted. I paid cash to go to armstrong and I felt no pain, the dentist had no limit on the novacaine(?) and I was done in 30 mins. 2 weeks ago I had ANOTHER tooth pulled (its hereditary for me to have bad teeth) and was so relaxed i didnt even realize the tooth was out. I have a root canal scheduled for thursday next week. So Celtic, no baby these are true to the heart reviews of this dentistry. Dont look at a lot of reviews as unethical. i can see why you would think that, but really, a company is not that desparate to pay for this many and I damn sure aint getting paid for this.

Lovely place, nice people but never again. My appointment was made for a root canal with Dr Eshleman. One Dr assessed it, another did the root canal, another placed the crown...I have yet to see Dr Eshleman. I was made to wait 3 weeks for the crown because that particular Dr was going on vacation. When the temporary fell off after one week and I was on my way out of town, I called in the morning and was told unless I could get there (from Ballantyne) in 7 minutes there was nothing they could do. Im REALLY glad it wasnt a front tooth. I returned from out of town having swallowed the temporary and was worked in ...why couldnt they have done this in the first place? The permanent crown had come in so the dentist not on vacation placed it. I was sent out the door, not thinking to check the work. The new crown is a completely different color. When I called to question I was told "we try to match the teeth on either side of it." Every exam room is riddled with posters and monitors showing how perfect their cosmetic dentistry is and yet they cant match a crown? An appointment was made for a 2nd procedure. Then they called back to tell me the work THEY had just done wasnt figured in in my Insurance deductible and I was over the yearly limit. Quality control and organization is not their strong point.

I love this office!! First, you are always greeted by the friendliest receptionist I have ever come across. She literally has a smile and a conversation with EVERY patients. She even remembers names!! The dental assistants are always very calming and try to make you very comfortable while getting a cleaning or even when you are there for work that may be unpleasant. Dr. Eshleman and Dr Armstrong got me through a very strange and painful root cananl that was not preformed well by another dentist because of a rare abnormality in the root of my tooth. It was Dr E and Dr A that detected it!! They saw the INTENSE pain I was in and took care of it immediately! They assessed the situation and decided that it would be best handled by a oral surgeon. All this while i was 7 months pregnant!! They could not have been more compassionate and even called the me and the oral surgeon to see how things when/how I was doing after the repair. That was almost 10 years ago and they are still fabulous dentist in my book!! Oh and no more root canals for me!! Definetely would recommend them (and I come from almost Union County).

Ive been to Charlotte Dentistry for over 4-5 years now. Ive always admired the Christian theme. But I feel like recently they have overbooked their clienteles. Ive had to wait several times for a cleaning even when coming in early. Also, I had retainers done in the ortho department and when I told them that the one tooth did not get straightened I felt like the Dr wanted to scold me. Maybe I was wasting their time/money but I just really wanted my teeth straight. I had a second ortho visit this past month. The orhto assistant did not seem to be in a happy mood no matter how laid back my attitude was. The dentist upstairs was so confident that I only needed top braces but the ortho dentist came in and said it couldnt be done for fix my minor over bite. To each their own. 2 different ortho, same quick to respond demeanor. I wanted to get it done here since their price is decent but my gut tells me price is not everything. Go elsewhere. I dont normally write reviews but after more than 5 years of coming here, I think they have accumulated way too many patients to care and take their time.
