About three years ago now, I had my wisdom teeth surgery at a different dentist office and it was horrible. They gave me a sedation but it didnt work on me so I was wide awake during the surgery and I felt every single tooth being pulled. Ive never had so much pain in my life. After that horrible experience, I was scarred I refuse to go anywhere near a dentist for three years. FlashForward to now when I just had my first teeth cleaning a couple weeks ago at Garland and Johnson my new and forever dentist. I was sweating and I was a nervous wreck just for a cleaning but the dental hygienist was super personable, sweet, and patient with me. I knew I would have some cavities so I was preparing myself for the worst. When Dr. Banks came in she told me I had five cavities and needed a crown on one of them. I was terrified but I knew I let myself get to this point so I had to get it fixed. So two weeks later I came in for my fillings, and I was sobbing in the chair before anyone had even touched me. My anxiety was so bad. But as soon as Dr. Banks came into the office she asked what was wrong. I told her about my horrible wisdom teeth experience. She reassured me that I wouldnt feel a thing, and the second I did she would stop and give me a break, and give me more medicine if she needed to. A 2 hour appt turned into 3 hours because she went slow and was patient with me and listened to me every time I told her I needed a break and if I had pain. The other ladies in the office constantly checked on me, offering me water, blankets, the remote, and even just someone to hold my hand for a minute. Best experience Ive ever had in any customer service situation ever. When I came back to remove the temporary crown and put the permanent crown on I wasnt nervous at all and I told them that it was painful so they numbed me up even though they didnt have to. Anyone who knows me knows I am terrified of the dentist, but after my visits with Garland and Johnson I am confident in my smile and thats huge for me. I will be going here for the rest of my life! Thank you for being patient, and caring towards me, and for restoring my confidence in my smile. Happy Holidays!!

I have been going to the Middletown office for a long time. My day off is on Tuesdays, and recently Dr Garland is now at their West Chester location on Tuesdays. So, I have been seeing Dr Johnson. He has made me feel as comfortable as Dr Garland has all these years. My last visit I went in as a regular person, and left as a Princess, complete with a crown!!! This one day procedure saved me a lot of time!!! I highly recommend them if youre in need of a dentist!!! May 30,2017 I am a long time patient of the Middletown office. I went in today for my 6mos. check up. Yes, I go to the dentist every six months. I consider the dental hygienist to be my friend. Over the course of time I have learned that we have similar interests in our hobbies., so I actually look forward to going to the dentist to see what she has been creating . The best part about todays visit was getting to select the color of the toothbrush I would get to take home....PURPLE !!! Needless to say, I would never go anywhere else for my dental work !!!

Ive been going to Dr. Garland for 10 years now. I absolutely love him and the entire staff. I originally starting to go to him when he had a practice in Maineville which was just down the street from me. When he left that practice, my family made the decision to travel to Middletown to continue with him - even though there are 3 other dental practices within 2 miles from our house! He is just that wonderful. My 8 year old son also loves going to the office. He loves how all of the staff treats him and he loves that Dr. Garland "talks to [him] like a grownup!". The front staff are awesome too! Always sweet and super friendly. They are also very good at what they do. My insurance company was trying to deny claims for necessary work. The staff worked hard at providing documentation and working with the insurance company until it was finally approved. They did all of this without me having to ask or follow up. I cannot recommend them enough!

My soon to be exhusband goes to this dentist office. Even though he has always been terrified of dentists, all of the sudden when he started having affairs he started making dentist appts all the time and making appts for the kids, when he has never made doctor appointments for our kids or taken our kids to the doctor (that was always my job). HE made an appt for when *I* had the kids, without permission. I could not go to the doctor appt because I am responsible for picking children up from school at that time (no busing in Lakota). So I call and cancel the appt. He calls them and gives them my new address and tells them to bill me cancellation fees and put the rest of HIS bill in my name. And because something fishy is going on between him and this place they do it! I have never heard of someone receiving a bill from a doctors office they have never stepped foot in! What a shameful way to do business. Using doctors office for personal revenge.

Our first time at this office made a great lasting impression on both myself and my 5 year old, in fact once we got home she pulled out her new tooth brush and toothpaste and began to brush without any instruction to do so (huge for a five year old). The dental hygienist, Angie provided the absolute best care I have seen with a young child, walking her through every step along the way and educating her in the meantime not without making her feel at ease and comfortable. Dr. Banks was very professional and provided a smile during our entire interaction. After the appointment my daughter got to pick a toy from the "treasure chest" and she left with huge smile on her face, exactly what dentist offices should do to all patients. My whole family will be visiting soon and I will continue to refer anyone I come across to Garland & Johnson dental. Thank you!

We moved to the Middletown area six years ago and took recommendations for a new dentist. What I liked most was their flexibility in scheduling. Several times they have worked around my travel schedule for appointments. The staff is always friendly and professional. The offices are very clean and modern and even have a kids waiting area (although to be honest, I dont know that I have been in the waiting room more than five or ten minutes). I have had major work done there (two crowns on teeth I damaged years ago) and I did not feel an ounce of pain. They have also helped me when caring for TMJ issues that were causing ear and head problems. This is in addition to getting normal cleanings. Great staff, great environment, and they do great work. I have no problem recommending them to others.
