I had been a client with previous doctor, so I returned. The prices are substantial, follow up care cost the same as initial consult. The vet was very impersonal, prescribed meds, and did not even explain the indications for the use of meds. He did a quick in & out, checked on pets condition, left the exam and sent an assistant in with meds. I had to resort to the internet to find out about the meds I was giving my dog, Carprofen is a powerful drug, that can even cause sudden death! Do you think the vet or staff informed me of this? Oh yea, it was on the label. I got the distance impression this vet is only interested in caring for people with a lot of money to spend, all the time. I had a $12.00 balance, and called to asked if I could make payment arrangement for pet follow up visit, and the vet said NO RESCHEDULE. REALLY? (I had previously spent hundreds there, with this vet & the prior owner): theres 2 ways to look at that: either the follow up was not necessary, but worth collecting more money...or it doesnt matter how sick your pet is, its all about the $. BTW, when I was told to reschedule, he was not even concerned how my pet was doing, even after prescribing Carprofen.

We have been clients for 10+ years, and our many pets have received excellent and compassionate care from Dr. Preuter and Dr. Laskin, as well as from the wonderful support staff. They successfully rescued one dogs front leg when she had put it through a glass window and severed the muscles and tendons. They helped us diagnose and care for our beloved Charlie who developed bone cancer in his skull. Because of their compassion, advice and sensitivity to our needs I cant help but consider them dear friends and give them the highest recommendation.

Best animal clinic around! Friendly, caring, and knowledgeable staff. Decent prices. When I adopted my rescue pit who loves humans and cats, but not so much other dogs, I found myself looking for an understanding veterinary office. You would be surprised how many veterinarians are afraid to even touch him! Anyhow, Shaker Animal Clinic welcomed my pup with open arms and takes excellent care of him. Chopper loves going to the doctors now! I wouldnt go anywhere else even if you paid me to!

We brought our cat to Shaker Animal Clinic for the first time a few weeks ago because she wasnt feeling well. Dr. Prueter gave us practical, sensible advice, and he called us to check on our cat about a week after a procedure he performed. All of the staff are caring and professional; one tech even brought a blanket for our cat to lie on to make her more comfortable. They have been able to fit us into the schedule on short notice, and their prices are fair.

Ive been taken my kitten, Shalom here since I adopted him and have been more than happy with my experience. His vet, Dr. James Prueter, Erin and Cora have all given him their undivided attention and love as if he was their kitten! I tell everyone about Shaker Animal Clinic because they serve the best service, experience and love! thank you guys for alwayyyys being there to answer my silly calls at all times of the day too (thats huge). Every aspect of Shaker Animal Clinics operation is first-class and excellent. I would strongly recommend Shaker Animal Clinic to every pet owner. The staff is friendly, professional, knowledgeable, honest, and will act with a swift urgency if pets are in trouble. Dr. Prueter is most kind, gentle, and thorough. He has cared for our dog for 10 years. His advice about preventive maintenance and general health care has allowed our black lab to live many happy years. The staff and assistants are also wonderful. Debbie is always helpful is scheduling appointments that work with our schedules. The assistants treat our dog as if he were their own. We highly recommend Shaker Animal Clinic.

Absolute compassion and attentiveness to my grand cats. Genuine...Awesome super helpful and patiently eases the anxious pet owners...I really appreciate them. Special surgery was needed for one of the cats. When we called with questions to the office, Dr. W. Actually took the time to come to the phone and explain the procedure step by step..Just incredibly awesome. Office staff Amy and the techs ate just terrific too.

Dr Welsh and his entire staff are kind and loving. They went beyond what I expected with our cat Max during his illness. The offices are clean and they treat the animals with dignity. I highly recommend this clinic.

They changed vets, the old one retired... and also raised their prices substantially. They advertise inexpensive but I found them to be the most expensive of any vet for routine shots.
