I dont even know how to describe the relationship we maintain with Companion, other than simply stating that they are like an extension of our family. Not only do we trust them and their compassionate staff to house our fur babies while on vacation, but they have lovingly walked with us through the most tragic times of our life. Dr. Davis is a Godsend, for she stood by our side with empathy and experienced our sorrow as we said good-bye to my sons 15 year-old best friend. Her usual jovial spirit transitioned this day from our medical adviser, to our friend and trusted family member in grief. As busy as they are, even Jennifer, the owner, has taken the time compassionately recall our journey upon the various visits that have followed, sharing her own personal experiences and relating to our pain. At Companion, theres a sense of unity, as the entire staff is professional and loving- they genuinely care for the animals they tend to and embrace the families that are seeking treatment, caring for each pet as if it were one of their own. Just recently, my daughters cat suffered from a mysterious illness (Fever of an Unknown Origin). Each day we visited him, the staff became part of our family, as wed celebrate together each small milestone of his healing. I am thankful for Dr. Davis and her quick response and trouble-shooting tactics, for the illness that would usually prove to be fatal for a cat, was discovered and treated. During those dark days while we waited, she remained upbeat, yet gentle with the diagnosis. She certainly followed the right path for a career choice, for the love she demonstrates for these animals and their families is evident! She is an asset to Companion and I will never go any place else, for there, you will find a network of an extended family that understands and loves your pet as much as you. For this, Florence is blessed.

I love Companion and so do my two miniature poodles, Sandy & Trixie! They go there everyday so I dont have to leave them alone. We call it "school" and the girls really do enjoy it!! I had a bad experience with a previous veterinarian in another town, so it was very important to me to check out Companion first. I had heard good things, but needed to be sure. Dr. Davis has taken care of my girls for over three years, including my Molly who passed away about 2 1/2 years ago. She was so kind and comforting in helping me deal with the loss of my precious girl. When we added Trixie to our family, they were so kind and attentive towards her. The best thing is that I know that if the girls are under the weather, or if I have a concern about their health, I know they are in very good hands! When my son, in Utah, was hospitalized for a month earlier this year, I had absolutely no concerns about leaving my girls. They were there for one month and were treated so well that I think the girls were disappointed when we returned and they had to come home. ;-) I love the people there who have been so kind to my girls: Jennifer, Dr. Davis, Dr. Lockhart, Ms. Gwen, Ms. Betty, Miranda, Sarah, LaDonna, Tamika, Pamela and LJ. If I left anyone out, please forgive me!

my story with this vet is very sad. i took my lab there on sept 17 2009. i was charged 240.00 for all test because my dog was starving to death. this vet held him all day and after all the test sent me home with an expensive can of his dog food. my dog continued to get sick for the next week finally unable to walk my husband and i called to get tested for lyme disease he refused because he didnt "think" that was what it was and wanted to refer me to a specialist. when i said thank-you anyways they wrote in his medical records i declined help. my husband then carried my lab to windsor animal hospital where he was cared for and had to have surgery. the doctor found damage to colon and his intestines. which i couldnt understand because companion had done xrays. there was too much damage to his insides and we had to put max to sleep. i feel if this vet had care more about the animal then money my dog could have been saved. i had to explain to my five year old why maxi didnt come home and my husband had to personally dig a grave for his best friend. . if you love your pets like your children i suggest you either never go to this vet or change as soon as possible. R.I.P. maxi

I used Companion for its boarding services.....It was awful. First my husband went couple of days before to see and check it out. Our pet is one of the family. They went over how the take care of there animals, but when ask to see the place she would be kept they said he could not because you had to go thru the surgical area..(understood)..The day we were to leaving we took her there and again they said no when we ask to see the area she would be kept in, it was not cleaned up yet...my husband insisted we understood it needed cleaning...when we went back the urine was running out of the cages. She explained that they were short handed and she had not had time to take them all out. We excepted this and left Dixie there anyway. BIG MISTAKE. When we returned 4 days later the pillow and blanket we took was saturated with dry and wet urine. Which meant they had not taken her out. I would have been better off to have filled her water and food feeder and left her home alone....Dont make the mistake I did. I wish there was a quality score of less the POOR. That would be my choice

I have 2 dogs and 2 cats; I was always visiting the vet for one reason or another. My animals got their check ups when they were due, I have never missed an appointment or been late to an appointment. I was a good customer and the treatment by this office is shocking to me. I always thought that one of the front office girls had a bad attitude, but could never get up enough nerve to discuss this with the doctor. One day, this particular girl had given me her bad attitude one to many times and I told her that she was difficult to deal with and not friendly at all. This girl, then went to the office manager, who happens to be the doctors wife and told her that I said something nasty to her regarding her physical appearance. This is not true and it is so immature! The office manager told me that I was not allowed to return to this practice, and it is a shame that the doctor is so out of touch with what is going on in the front office and that he allows his good paying customers to be treated like this.

I brought my 9 year old chihuahua who has had a heart murmur to this vet and the lady who came in took a look at my dogs poor skin and wrote me several prescriptions for his "itchy" skin, loaded me down with a veterinarian brand hydrochortisone, shampoo, and several other things. Seeing as how this was my first time with this vet, I found it very peculiar that I was not asked anything about my dogs health, heart, nothing. She didnt even take his temperature, OR listneto his heart. I had to tell her as she was leaving the room about his heart murmur and that I needed a refill on his meds. 4 days later he had a stroke in the middle of the night and died in my arms. This was my baby, and I loved him very much. I just dont understand how this kind of thing happens. I would never suggest them to anyone. To be honest, Im not sure how these people are licensed.
