I have been seeing eye doctors for over 19 years and this is by far the most unprofessional and most rude office I have ever been at. Instead of being treated as a person youre treated simply as another number and moved through basically an assembly line. I personally had to change rooms 3 different times because of them trying to move so many people through. (the same equipment in each room) They had people coming back into the waiting area and the techs putting dilating drops into their eyes when theyre sitting by a window. Extremely unprofessional. Instead of taking the time to actually read the chart the tech dilated my eyes when I wasnt supposed to be. Fortunately I did have my sunglasses and did know that I was supposed to put them on prior to going outside in the bright sunlight, the staff didnt bother to advise me or any other patient of that. The cheap disposable sunglasses that are available at every other place Ive been to for free were being sold for $5 apiece! My prescription for contacts is a fairly common one, yet they dont have them in stock and they managed to ruin the set I was wearing - luckily I do have a pair of glasses to wear until they get a trial pair ordered. Once I get the trial pair Im supposed to wait for 2 weeks then go back and pay them another $30 out of pocket that they will not bill to insurance for them to make sure they fit before they will release my prescription to me. As far as their pricing goes (Im glad I have insurance!) they charge $100 for a routine eye exam for glasses and another $125 or more for a contact fitting. The typical charges for this service everything included is under $150 total. Actual time with the doctor was less than 10 minutes. I was done in less than 30 minutes from the time I walked in to the time I walked out. Again, treated like it was a cattle call and the object is simply to get people in and out, assembly line style. Overall I would not send anyone to this facility and would have never gone had I known how I would be treated.

I went to Dr. Moore for LASIK and have had an excellent experience so far (its one week post op)! The only reason I gave this four out of five stars has nothing to do with Dr. Moore...it was the wait time. It can take 45-90 minutes to see someone so bring something to do but Dr. Moore is definitely worth the wait! He definitely cares about his patients and will spend all the time you need answering questions, which is actually why he probably runs behind so often. Right after the procedure, he sent me home with goggles as well as enough Besivance and Durazol to get me through my recovery and a couple sample packs of Thera Tears. The first night after LASIK he called me to check in and saw me the next day and my vision was already 20/15! A week later, I was having some dry eye issues associated with computer work so he put in punctal plugs free of charge, provided me with a starter pack for Restasis, and wrote me a prescription for it in case there were any further issues. I also found out today that they offer a free pair of sun glasses for LASIK patients from their optical shop which is definitely a nice and unexpected perk. All in all, Im a very happy customer and definitely would recommend Dr. Moore if youre thinking about getting LASIK, hes great!

I have been seeing the doctors at coastal bend eye center for several years and have no complaints about the service or care. the last time i was there and recieved a new prescription for glasses i decided to just get my glasses there at the location on morgan. after paying almost 500 dollars for a pair of glasses that were supposed to have transition lenses it turns out that the lenses did not tint as they were supposed to. I contacted the office and talked to Joe Leighton ( last name may be spelled wrong) about this i was treated like a child that didnt know what i was talking about. this man was by far the rudest person i have ever dealt with in this field. not only was he arrogant and rude, but also hung up on me twice. while i can recomend the doctors there, i strongly suggest anyone that needs a pair of glasses made to take your bussiness somewhere you will be treated right. not only will i never deal with them again, i will make sure everyone i know, talk to, or thatneeds glasses to to go someplce else. it,s too bad there are people out there in this field like him because he should not be dealing with the publc!

Dr. Moore who is part of Coastal Bend Eye Center is unbelievable. As well as his entire staff, everyone was ... like a friend to me. Ive been putting off laser suregery for a while now. He went through the procedure with me, giving me different options. It took one day for lasik to work and now I can see better than ever. Ive had two post op visits and each visit gets better and better! I would be very careful when choosing a lasik surgeon. Dr Moore is very close and personal with his patients and going to him is NOT like going to a doctor, more like going to a friend who happens to love your eyes. I highly recommend Dr. Moore for Lasik and for thorough eye exams as well!! Hes TOP NOTCH.

I would have reviewed this eye center as "0" stars if it would have let me. This place is the biggest rip off I have ever experienced!! I will NEVER use this business again!! ASK FOR PRICING UP FRONT!! They WILL overcharge you and you will have to fight to get the correct pricing in which it should have been from the beginning. They overcharged my bill $110 and nobody could explain to me or my husband why and/or how they came up with this number. And on top of everything else, they charge $75.00 for a prescription for contacts!!!! When have you ever been to any MDs office and get charged just to send a prescription to the pharmacy. The billing at this place is a scam!!!!

I had cataract surgery at the Morgan Street office in Corpus Christi. I can only give raving reviews to Dr. Jacob Moore and the rest of the staff. They are so friendly and considerate while being very professional at the same time. Dr. Moore explained the entire procedure while he worked on my eyes and did the surgery much faster than I expected. I have been going to the Kingsville office and am very satisfied with the way Dr. Moore and the staff have treated me. I highly recommend the Coastal Bend Eye Center to everyone who needs an eye doctor. You wont go wrong with Dr. Moore.

I had a wonderful experience with Coastal Bend Eye Center! The staff and doctors were very polite, helpful and professional! I feel they really care about their patients. Dr Moore really took his time to make sure I understood the lasik procedure and risks before my procedure and he was very calming and explained everything during the procedure. The evening after my procedure he even called me to make sure evening was going well. I feel they really do care able their patients.
