If you are there for a drug screen, this is simply a licensed testing facility. If you have to ask whether you passed a drug screen or not, you may need to reconsider your recreational activities in correlation to your employment choices. (Ie dont smoke marijuana, if you are planning to apply for a job that requires a drug test.) Dont confuse the experiences of people who are being tested for illicit substances, with those who are there for REGULAR medical care. For medical care, this place is fantastic. They are caring, polite, prompt, affordable and they make sure that you understand everything. I would highly suggest this place to families - they were wonderful with our daughter. We were seen immediately, and they were so compassionate, that she even hugged them after getting a shot. (normally she would cry hysterically, and call the person "mean") If you lack insurance, they also have a membership program where you can get all of your basic healthcare, and minor emergency care for a very VERY low monthly price. They even can add on chiropractic services to the package (I havent used this yet, but the Dr is brilliant, kind, and funny. She has patients driving long distances just to see her. I observed one gentleman saying that his back "hadnt felt that good in forty years".) Everyone that we have met there, from Marie at the front desk, to the nurses, the M.A., The NP, the Dr, have all been so nice, and right on target when it comes to your medical needs. They wont send you off for useless medical tests, and they take the time to explain your diagnosis. The office is clean, they do have a small table and chairs with crayons for children, and a gorgeous salt water fish tank (which amused our daughter, more so than the crayons.) There is ample parking. They have extended hours, and they do accept walk-ins. There is a bus stop within walking distance. They are located near the Academy sports store, in a building across from the Goodwill Thrift Store.

The worst experience of my life. If Island Medical is the last clinic on earth, you are better off treating yourself. I took my sister for a comprehensive adult assessment as advertised on their website on 09/17, today is 09/28 and we are still waiting for the results. After a week of "the result currently being scanned or mailed as we spoke on the phone" I finally gave up and showed up there in person. They then proceed to tell me that my sister did not approve of me picking up her results - which I knew already, but what else was I supposed to do when my sister has returned home and they apparently do not know how to email or mail? Like that was not bad enough, she proceeds to tell me in her "doing you a favor voice" that she will give me the results even though its illegal but its not her fault the doctor has not signed it yet. What the hell? why has a doctor not signed it in over a week?! what kind of clinic is this?! why the heck is a doctor never present? All of this is aside from the fact that a doctor was also not present the day we first went there either (because the last one retired and has not yet been replaced. TF?!) and the chiropractor (who was doing the job of the front desk person) was trying to charge us for each lab test as opposed to the package they advertised on their website. The list of no-nos just goes on: from an ex-employee drawing my sisters blood, to only one employee being present at the advertised opening time. I wish I had never set foot in this place. COMPLETE NIGHTMARE! Like I said, you are better off treating yourself because this is basically a glorified spa.

If I could give negative star, I would. Do not use this place!!! They are a rip-off. Theres a reason why they cant keep drs on staff!!!! I had been using this clinic for several months for weight loss then had to have some minor surgery. I took a few months off and decided to start back but 3 times when I called, they didnt have a Dr available. Finally got an appointment, went in, Paid in full ($132 dollars, the new patient fees and $35 for the Mic injection). Waited 30 mins past my appointment only to be told that due to my old labs from 13 months ago, that I was not a candidate (I have liver issues), even after I was previously given the prescriptions with those same lab results. I left furious. Asked why I paid for a full visit, if I was given everything disclosed for the visit fees (lab work, urinalysis, or prescriptions.) When I asked for a refund, I was told no. I had seen the Dr (even though the did not do the new labs as stated as part of their fees). When I got back to my office, I tried calling the office manager there for my refund and was told she was busy (after they out it was me calling). I called back again and faxed them a copy of their fees stating it included labs/ urinalysis which I do not have done. I was then told to come back in to have my labs rans. I told them I couldnt leave work again but would could come in the next day (today). When I went today, they told me the raised their prices yesterday (after I left??) to $150 and had to pay the difference to have my labs (that were included in the fee I paid yesterday) done. What a RIP OFF!!!!!!! Deplorable staff!!

I set an appointment for my students physical examination. When I get there, the hostess asked me questions, and when asked me bout my shot records unfortunately I dnt have it. She told me its gonna costs me a lot if I wanna get all those tests. So I called my teacher and told her about it. My teacher wanted to talk to her to ask questions i cnt andwer so I handed her my phone but she didnt take it and look at me and gave me an Attitude. Asked me, why does she need to talk to her. When she finally took it, she rolled her eyes on me. Since I didnt have my shot records, I told her Ill come back later the same day. But I changed my mind and find other clinic to go. I havent got a chance to experience anything about service and staff there because of the hostess. She is really RUDE! shes not supposed to be working in that kind of place if she cant take patients asking questions. We r paying for the services but its not gonna b worth it if Some of the staff is rude. Not coming back there no more. Never, ever

What an absolutely horrible experience! Do NOT waste your time going here! I went for a simple drug test that takes all of 5 minutes max to complete and I was there for around an hour and a half. There were only two people in front of me and the guy doing the tests clearly had no idea what he was doing. As if that wasn’t a big enough waste of time, they completely messed up where the results were supposed to be sent. I provided them with all of the necessary information and they sent it somewhere completely different disregarding all direction I provided. I then spent 3 days calling multiple times in an effort to track down where the results went. I was put on hold numerous times for extended periods lasting up to over an hour and everyone that worked there was less than helpful tracking down the results. On top of that, I know multiple other people that have had similar problems with this place. It was a disaster!
