The doctor was a quack. We came in because all of a sudden, within 20 minutes, my dogs paw had blown up to 5X the size and was bleeding. I kept asking the doctor if something could have bit him and he said no. It is not a bite and that it looks like an infection that the dog has had for a while and I did not notice. There is no way in hell I could not have noticed this. The doctor never looked closely at the wound an honestly looked like he was afraid to. The tech never cleaned the wound before wrapping it. Because I did not trust this doctor I took my dog to my local vet the next day. When the bandage was removed his foot was worse and was bleeding badly and more swollen. Our vet confirmed that it was a snake bite and checked his blood for Venom. Lucky for us there was none. The wound was properly cleaned. Our vet confirmed that the doctor at your clinic under dosed our dog on Tramadol and that he needed more to be comfortable. Our vet also confirmed that your doctor did not prescribe enough antibiotics for my dog. Your vet only prescribed a week when he needs to be on them for 2 weeks. I was not given proper care and the treatment performed on my dog was not adequate. I myself will never come to you again for emergency care and I will make sure to make it known on my neighborhoods Facebook page the type of care we received.

My chihuahua was bit by something early in the morning on his neck. It was bleeding profusely, like gushing out, and I thought my dog was going to die. This was the nearest hospital so we brought him here. Once arriving we spoke to the receptionist and she told us to sit and wait. Which I thought was insane because there was literally no other patients and my dog was gushing blood from his throat a few minutes prior. Finally someone came out and took a peek at his wound and went back to the back room. We were then sent to another waiting room for an extra 10 minutes before someone took him. I complained to the receptionist that he was breathing hard and we needed to see someone now. She said they were going through a shift change? I think my dogs life is more important than a shift change, especially for what were paying. My dog was okay but the lack of concern for my pet when entering was ridiculious. Honestly I was so put off at first my dog was bleeding like crazy from his neck and there was 0 sense of urgency when entering the hospital. In any case the two stars were for the care we received afterwards from the vet and (vet tech?) who gave us clear instructions on his medication and his situation. It was expensive we paid 500$.

Its always scary going into an emergency vet due to unexpected costs. Dr. Ying saw my pet Datzy on February 13 thru 14. She was unable to deliver her puppies. He checked her and helped her with 2 puppies that were stuck in birth canal. He was thorough and gave me options that fit my financial status. We decided to do what we could with my finances in mind then he referred me to another vet that was more affordable to save my Datzys life thru surgery. The staff was amazing from the moment I walked in the door till the end! They updated me often on her status. Everyone was very just amazing there! I am very pleased with the visit. Although I do not want to visit again, I will definitely continue to use them in the future for my pet emergencies. Datzy was taken into surgery and she made it thru such a difficult labor. She had one puppy that survived and the surgery also included her to prevent any further pregnancy to occur in the future. Her life is very important to me and I would never have her go through that agony again. Datzys life was saved because of Dr. Ying and his expertise and most importantly his kind heart to save my Datzy.

Issue - 3 year old cat with blood in urine positives - called ahead and received excellent advice on whether we needed emergency care or not. Chose to come to clinic arriving at 10 pm with two young children in tow. Reception staff was excellent, even cleaning the cat vomit out of the cage while I filled out the form. Thank you so much for that. Maybe waited 30 minutes for initial assessment and urine analysis. Much less waiting time than a walk in clinic for people, 10 minutes later taken to private room to wait for vet where cat could roam freely. Negative (but not for us) just as our cat came in, an animal in critical condition arrived. Our cat was not in critical condition. They do priortize at this clinic and if you have ever had to euthanize an animal this is a great thing. And yes, it did mean that we waited longer. We finally left the clinic at 12:15 am with medicine, a lot of valuable information, and what we paid seemed very reasonable for the treatment we received and the emergency hours. Not much different from our nomal clinic really. Yes we were tired, but it is a great clinic. Thank-you Dr. Ying

I took our 17 year old cat to the NHVS ER this past week. While we ultimately had to make the decision to choose euthanasia (ultrasound showed that the treatment she was receiving was no longer working), I felt she got really good care and that the vets and staff did all they could for her. Everyone, from the front desk staff to the vet techs and the vets themselves, were compassionate and professional. The vets were very good about keeping in touch with me through the course of her stay there. They both showed empathy while still staying realistic about Skeeters prognosis and odds of responding to treatment. I appreciate how well they communicated with me and never felt mislead or misguided. Was it expensive? Yes. But any ER visit will be expensive, and as those go, this wasnt too bad. I am glad I took Skeeter to this ER and am grateful for the care she received and the compassion of the staff when my mom and I came back in to say our farewells. If ever my pets have further need of emergency care, I know I will choose this clinic again.

My 4 year old Rottweiler mix had a torn ACL and needed surgery. My regular vet referred me to this clinic and Dr. Dahlinger for a consult and possible surgery. We opted for the surgery and everything went perfect. Fast forward ONLY 1-1/2 weeks AFTER surgery...our fur babys OTHER knee went out!!!!! Oh boy...NOT GOOD! Panick!!! The doc advised it was very likely that it could happen to his other knee but no one expected it to happen so close together. We have opted for the second surgery and have been steady saving and he will finally be able to have it done mid-August. I have taken our black lab here for emergency treatment and was not impressed at all with the Doctor on call as a matter of fact, I thought he was one of the technicians until I asked him where the doctor was. So...the main point of my long drawn out entry is...the front desk staff and surgeon, Dr. Dahlinger, have been nothing but wonderful!! I dont remember the name of the unimpressive doc though!
