I will admit, the service was fast, so my mother and I were out pretty quick, within about 20 mins. However, the lady at the window, Barbara Anderson spoke to my Spanish speaking mother, and I, like we were dumb or something. All we went in for was to ask/make sure of, what was needed/asked for in order for my mother to renew her application. My mother was a bit confused, since, it seems that the forms to renew look different or have something new added to them EVERY time. And this lady responded by saying Wut, I dont know what part you dont understand since this is written in Spanish then she showed me the first form (all while pointing at it with her long nasty nails like I was child) which stated, in Spanish, that it was a renewal application. I mean, gee wow, OBVIOUSLY! So anyway, she could not help us (fine with me!) because she could not answer/help with the other question we had since she said she wasnt a social worker or whatever. So, we waited for a good 10 mins then we were called to the back and the lady that helped us there was AMAZING! Ms. Sandy Garth was so patient, graceful and soft spoken, she was wonderful! We got all of our questions answered by her and even had some options given to us! Thank you, Ms. Sandy! You were what made our experience much better!

I hope i NEVER have to come here again. These are some of the most unprofessional women i have met! Both women Barbara and Deleria (or whatever the hell her name is) and the female security guard are all on their phones. How can you talk and conduct business with music playing all in the back?! Barbara Anderson was the first person i met upon seeking information on speaking with someone about my case. Instead of listening to understand, she listened to just reply! Pure ignorance. In the middle my damn interview Vickey, decided to catch up on reading for a moment. But overall she was the best person in the building! Very kind lady. She makes up for the ignorant women you meet prior to going back. I pray to be off government assistance soon cause this is all a damn shame before God! Very unprofessional staff!

It had been many years since Ive delt with this office. And I have to say who ever is running it now is doing an awesome job! I spoke with 3ppl today and was surprised that the receptionist answered the phone oh the second ring. :-) she was also very helpful and polite very different than 4 yrs ago. Then I spoke with a case worker who also tried their best to help and when she couldnt she put me through to her supervisor who has done a a great job trying to get My case taken care of. The whole call only took 15 min. I am very impressed in the change this office has made

You call to ask questions, they dont want u to leave voice mails in the general mail box, then if you are lucky to get a hold of someone, they will NOT call you back like they say they would. I have been trying to get a hold of them for the past 3 weeks and NO answer or no way to get a hold of anyone.. but those illegal immigrants get the help they want right away w/o any delay! i will call the HQs in Austing and report them!

THE WORST customer service. I didnt have high standards for the place to begin with; but when you do what youre suppose to and get talked down to... that is VERY unacceptable to me!! I didnt catch the mans name but he has a very poor attitude and no help what so ever! like he didnt want to do his job. I was polite the entire time and I was just looked at like I was stupid and got nothing but a nasty attitude in return!

IT IS REDICULOUS HOW DIFFICULT IT IS TO CONTACT THESE AGENCIES BY PHONE. ONE THING THAT NEEDS TO BE CHANGED IS THAT YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO APPLY FOR BENEFITS ONLINE, LIKE YOU CAN ON THE TEXAS WORKFORCE SITE. AS WELL AS RECIEVE APPT INFO BY EMAIL. THIS WOULD SAVE LOTS OF TIME AT THE ACTUAL OFFICE. ALSO THEY SHOULD HAVE A DEPARTMENT WITH FOLKS AT EVERY OFFICE WHO DO NOTHING BUT HANDLE PHONE INQUIRIES.

Read all the reviews and had to go here for the laughs. Yall are all right! Defiantly dumbed everything down and still got looked at like a lost puppy dog. People come in here for help. If you dont enjoy your one job that I know a lot of people would be greatful to have, then just get the hell gone!

I would have to agree with the reviews of Texas Human Services. The illegal aliens - that absolutely includes the majority of the Mexican population - do get served much faster than anyone else. Its a shame how unorganized the system is!

Im sorry but this faculty is full of people that dont want to do sh@ and I have to disagree with u cuz Im Mexican and Im (legal) and i had to wait just like everybody else!!! They should hire people who cares about other ppls needs!!!

So unprofessional. The staff seems not to know anything and always state call 211. Been trying to reach someone in the office for over 2 weeks. I would not recommend seeking info from the office.

They are sooo RIDICULOUSLY RUDE at this office! Unnecessary to act that way, especially towards people who are coming for help. I know clients can be rude, but not all offices act this way!
