Dr. Tomeff and Monique provided a great service, however the front office staff completely ruined the entire experience. They ran our insurance but did not look into all of the cost options we had available to use with our plans. When it came time to check out they presented us with the most expensive option and told us that is our only option. We knew better because we called our insurance companies beforehand. When we tried to inform the staff of our other options, Becky in their billing department responded with "Everyone pays a $60.00 copay...". Needless to say, they had to get on the phone with our insurance company to verify what we were telling them was correct, and Becky and Hannah made it obvious that we were inconveniencing them with this. It is apparent that this organization is not trained to look into the best interest of the patient so I would highly advise you to call your insurance and know your options before coming here because they will try to tell you what you have available and it will be wrong. Furthermore, when bringing issues up to Marla Henegar, the manager, she tells you she will look into the issue but never call you back in a timely manner to provide a resolution. I had to reach out to her every time as well as go into the office to speak with her. In the end, you will spend too much time wasted trying to get her to correct the situation in a way that justifies your poor experience. Rating this 1 star because you have to choose at least 1, but again, the only good part of this experience was Dr. Tomeff and her assistant, Monique.

Horrible place. Treated like cattle. Waited 3 hours before seeing Dr. Pickett and he was so interested in the previous patient, he kept opening the door to talk to them. Then when he came back in, he looked in my dilated eyes and never said a word about the 3 problems which I listed on the paperwork they have you fill out. What is that for if the dont look at it! My husband is seeing double after about 6 hours of wearing his contacts and Dr. Pickett said it wasnt an eye problem...it was a contact problem but they only have 1 optometrist for all these people and she does not take the time that is needed for proper care of the eyes. So I am driving my husband around until we can get back to our previous doctor, an hour and a half away. Shet, Dr. Zamora, would try for months if thats what it took to get a proper fit and comfortable lenses. This one just says "What do you want me to do?" or "well you have to chose between seeing the computer or seeing up close". REALLY?

Very nice staff, very friendly doctor. I felt like I got a very thorough eye exam. Jim Picket has been my ophthalmologist going on 30 years now. I am in the medical field, so I know what to expect in a professional relationship. Dr. Picket and his staff have never left me scratching my head wondering why I bother to see an actual physician instead of an optometrist. My eyes have always been very important to me and getting the best care for my eyes is important also. Over the years Dr. Picket and Claire have also become personal friends, yet he cuts to the chase and tells me exactly how my eyes are changing, what I can do to give them the best chance, and does not mince words if I can do better. Honesty and integrity characterize his practice. You will not find a better or more caring Ophthalmologist.

Dr. Joshua Hu and all the staff at the medical facility are great. I have nothing but the highest praise for them. But beware the optical shop in the same building! A complete and utter mess trying to get them to correctly file for insurance proceeds for my new frames and glasses following cataract surgery. They refused to cooperate with my insurance company even after being contacted directly by a claims agent! Im trying to file a claim on my own now. But meanwhile Im out over $400 since I had to pay before taking possession of my new glasses. Love the doctors, nurses, and staff at Central Texas Eye Center but will never ever do business again with the optical shop!

Ive been to these doctors before years ago. Got a metal splinter in my eye and they refused to help me. I offered to pay CASH in an effort to get relief from this horrible pain, but they refused. I didnt even understand the bullshit reason. Something about not being able to send me to another doctor, I guess their doctors arent very experienced and they wanted to pass me off down the line. I guess doctors are too business minded to remember their hippocratic oath to help people. Worst experience ever with a doctor

Been seeing these doctors before n after my teregium surgery and theyre good in their own right. My surgeon was very good but he went back to the airforce. Since then my right eye has was getting worse and the Dr tells.me I need a new stronger reading glass every year. I guess thats their ultimate solution to my poor vision. I used to have 3 pair of glasses. 1 each for reading, watching, driving. So I got fed up and looked for real solution. :) I had my r eye lens replaced and now Im 20 -15 vision.

My husband, Mike, went to see Dr. Jonathan Welch for his annual check-up, where it was discovered Mike had a detached retina. Within in 2 hours, Dr. Welchs staff had arranged for Mike to see a surgeon in Austin the same day and surgery was scheduled for the next morning. The caring, dedication and efficiency of Dr. Welch, Dr. Young and the entire staff of Central Texas Eye Center helped save my husbands eyesight. We will be forever grateful.

Excellent experience. Front desk is friendly and efficient and lets you know they were expecting you. Wait time for a tech was short and the prep for the doctor was done expeditiously and professionally. Wait time for the doctor was short. The doctors assessment was thorough and he took the time to answer all questions. A friendly, yet very professional office. Staffed with professionals and specialists who instill confidence in the patient.

Liked this center very much. All staff was very nice and friendly and super helpful. I disliked waiting in the exam rooms for 15- 20 minute increments. It was quite a bit of waiting but the service I received made up for it. I did hear from my optomitrist that I went at a peek time so I may try to avoid 10am appointments from now on. I would definitely recommend to family and friends.

Dr. Hu! He is the best. He is skilled, friendly, excellent surgeon, shares his eye health information in a way that I can understand and use. He smiles a lot and makes me feel good. Your staff treats me like an old friend or a favorite Aunt. They even remember cute stuff Ive shared about my life, and incidents from my last visit. Everyone is polite, friendly and efficient.

We were very impressed by the competence and friendliness exhibited by the staff and professionals at this clinic. The tests performed were done so with good grace and the results explained in great detail. Have no problem recommending Central Texas Eye Center to anyone in need of good professional eye care from caring competent professionals.
