The only reason they even deserve 1 star is because one of our nurses was kind, otherwise I would say 0. Dr. Dadfar, on the other hand, needs to take a few courses in compassionate bedside manor. I dont know if he was being discriminatory or if thats just how he talks to everyone, but we certainly didnt appreciate how he treated us. I was just there early this morning for the most severe mouth pain Ive ever had in my life, it was so bad I was vomiting and had nearly passed out at one point. My on call doctor recommended I go to the ER to ensure there was no severe infection because of many symptoms I was experiencing. The first thing Dr. Dadfar said to me was "You know Im not a dentist, right?"! How insulting! He was extremely patronizing to us and talked down to both myself and my wife the entire time. My wife advised him that we were told to come here to help control the pain temporarily and get antibiotics and that my doctor had said if the tooth had abscessed I may need to be admitted to have it lanced and drained. The infection has to be controlled for at least 2 days before I can get it pulled. He treated me as if I were an idiot for coming in to an ER and said that lancing and draining an abscess is something they wouldnt do there (which is untrue in the cases of severe infection where admission is necessary, my father went through that exact scenario just a few years ago and was actually in a coma for two days because the infection had progressed so far). Im not sure if anyone has ever had an abscess or infected tooth before, but obviously HE has not. I had not really eaten or slept in almost two days and was trying to wait until my dentist could see me, but everyone has their limits to what they can tolerate and my pain tolerance is typically pretty high. He had ZERO empathy and was just extremely rude. It wasnt even necessarily the things he was saying, but the way he was saying it. Aside from Pricilla (a very kind nurse) the rest of the staff were very short and rude. For a company who has "Compassionate Care" in their tag line this ER staff is DEFIANTLY falling incredibly short of achieving that goal. We expressed our concern to our nurse and asked to speak to Dr. Dadfar again so we could try to address it directly with him but he refused to come speak with us. I watched him as he sat idly for several minutes off and on during a 25 minute time period before we finally decided to leave. We stopped at the nurses station on the way out to ask if he was going to come speak with us in private and address our concerns at which point he attempted to completely blow us off. We proceeded to inform him of our grievance and that we felt he was very patronizing and rude, but he continued to respond with a complete and total lack of empathy or care. He kept looking around while we were attempting to speak with him and acted as if it was a burden to him just to have to take a few moments to listen to me. He advised us if we had a problem we could take it up with administration and that he had "treated" me within his guidelines during my evaluation. I, again, told him he may have medically treated me appropriately, however brief and minor his interaction with me was (I sat for 1 1/2 hrs waiting on blood test results without anyone coming in to check on or update me and I only saw him for about 4 minutes total) but that he has most certainly failed in his emotional treatment of his patient. I was civil, not rude at all to him and he said "Ive heard your concerns and feel free to call the office” then just dismissed us. We have called the offices and at least the one person we have spoken with in administration seems concerned about his lack of caring, we have left a message for their Grievance department. We have just moved to this area and I can assure you no one in our family will ever visit a Baptist facility again because of his behavior and I will be telling everyone we encounter about this. No wonder free standing ERs are so popular here, the real hospital one is horrendous.

One star because the person we encountered at front desk and the nurse were so professional and nice, but have to take 4 away for the overall experience. Took my fiance in because his bp was very elevated (178/122). Hes had chronic high bp issues for years, plus we are both RNs so were familiar with the symptoms and treatment. They wanted to do a CT scan of his head for the headache that accompanies his high bp. We refused that because it seemed excessive. They also wanted to do a cbc, which has nothing to do with why we were being seen, so we refused that as well. (Plus his lab work was done the week before at pcp and was all normal). We just didnt want to be charged exuberant prices for what, in our professional opinion, were unnecessary tests. They gave him a bp pill, took his bp 20 minutes later and it was still 168/116. This is not a stable blood pressure at all! This is still very, very high! At that point they said we could go. We were speechless, because it really felt like they were dismissing us because we refused the CT and lab work, but we know it is well within our patient rights to refuse treatment. We also know what its like to be the provider, so we were in no way difficult or rude, and in fact we were very friendly with them. Just overall not a great experience. Will not be recommending these free standing Baptist ERs to anyone, and will not be going back. Follow up: Just received a bill from this place for a urine drug screen. What?! We went in for high blood pressure! Im speechless....

Worst experience I have ever had in an ER. The people at the front desk are very rude and snobby. They asked my wife if she would like a wheelchair, she told them yes please. The wheelchair NEVER arrived. Then they called her back and made her walk all the way down the hallway, knowing she was in sever pain. They took her vitals. Never told her anything. Im no doctor but I know her BP was high. Then the Dr came in and asked my wife whats wrong. She was telling him, well he cut her off and told her, "Just tell me whats wrong in a few words." 1st off you should let the patient tell you whats wrong without being an a**hole about it. Then 2 hrs later the dr came back in told her she needed to find a orthopedic specialist, and he sent her home. Never assessed the problem. His name was Dr. Nuñez. Could barely understand his English. If I was dying and this was the only place left to go. I guess I would be dead because I would never come here again, whether its my wife, kids or myself. Never again in my life. Oh and I forgot to mention that the nurses at the nurses station absolutely LOVE to talk about patients and laugh and have a great time discussing patients medical records. That is something no medical professional should ever do. They might as well went ahead and hired a bunch of teenagers to work up here. No one was professional at all. Honestly believe this place should be closed down. And Im gonna do everything in my power to have something done about it.
