STAY AWAY! Dental Factory that cares of getting to as many patients in one day as possible. They push you for their dental plan and talks of cosmetic surgery before even asking you whether you floss or what brought you in. All appointments are timed ("youre here for a 40-minute with doctor x"). The hygienists flirt with you and set you up, then Henley or one of them swoops in and does the work, then swoops out and off to the next customer. I had a filling done and Henley didnt even ask how it went, how the filling felt, before the mouth guard was removed he was off to the next patient. During a follow-up he stopped during a filling and said that I needed a root canal. He was perplexed that I was not having any symptoms needing a root canal (yeah, doc, Im hiding it from you). I asked whether he would take additional x-rays or test the root. Not necessary he said, just come back with $3000 for the RC and crown. "And, dont ask others about this, theyll just scare you," Henley said. A second opinion from DDS who cared to learn my name took an x-ray and advised that no RC was needed, just a filling. No one Henley wanted me to keep his guidance to myself. If you cant trust your dentist they will rip you off at every turn. Yeah, nice fountain in the building and bottled water while you wait, but you also pay for that when they push their unneeded services on you. Stay away from this practice. Someone in Richmond should investigate how many patients paid for services they didnt need.

Prior to coming to Norge Dental Center and becoming a patient of Dr. Johnston, I had been “dentist hopping” after being a patient of a previous dentist for 24 years because I had extreme discomfort due to my jaw and quite a few of my teeth. Although the staff and the dentists at the “dentist hopping” offices were nice, no one quite compared to the treatment I received (and still receive) as a patient with Norge Dental. After my first visit with Dr. Johnston, Dr. Johnston had somehow (I think magic) alleviated some of my pain. I am now coming up on what will be my third visit to Norge Dental as Dr. Johnston’s patient and I have little to no discomfort at all in my jaw—which I am told is not an easy quick fix. Dr. Johnston’s expertise is remarkable. The care and precision given to each individual patient by every individual member of the staff is quite remarkable as well. Each appointment I’ve had with Norge Dental, I have truly felt as if I were the only patient they had in the office that day—whether because of the environment or the kindness of the staff—even though I knew that I wasn’t, as I could see other patients around me. I am extremely glad that I became a patient of Norge Dental.

After Doctor Henley took care of me during an after-hours emergency, he will be our family dentist for life! I was fortunate enough to have Doctor Henley respond when I was in extreme pain on a holiday. He not only came in and made the pain bearable through the weekend, but did a wonderful job on the root canal that unfortunately followed. Having never had the procedure before I was quite nervous and I was pleasantly surprised to find it was no more painful than any regular filling. Since that time our entire family has become patients of his. Unlike previous dentists whom I always felt were looking trying to make things worse than they were to drive up the bill, Dr. Henley is very conservative and only minimal work has been needed. Even my two kids each started to see Dr.Henley at the age of 3 and love him. He makes them very comfortable in what can be a scary situation and always explains everything he checks so that they know exactly what is going on. I know there are many other dentists out there and a few who may be slightly cheaper, but none can compare to the excellent care and service we have received from Dr. Henley and the staff at Norge Dental.

I had root canal done and new crown put on by Dr Ray Henley in spring of 2013 and this is what happened. I still had pain so Ive requested to see a endodontist since R. Henley is a general dentist. Clinic refused my request and suggested that I should see Dr Henley again. Dr Henley said hell re-do root canal and asked if he can use this filling which I do not remember the name at the moment. He said that its a fine material and how do I know as a patient laying on the table so I said yes. Later Ive heard from my endodontist that type of filling is the endodontists worst nightmare. Dr Henley said if I still have pain after the 2nd root canal treatment, Ill have to have that tooth removed. So I was too scared to complain about pain. I regret that I complain about toothache after the root canal. He is probably a fine dentist but I just wanted to share my experience so others might not have to go through the same thing

five stars...absolutely! Every time I go to the dentist I have a sense of peace and enjoyment and confidence. Peace about actually getting check in on time (very timely)..havng everything done and know i will be done soon..so to get to my next duty as a dad! Enjoyment in terms of the warm and friendly greeting....and it is sincere!!! The staff is smiling and so intent on engaging in conversation with me to find out how i am etc. Confidence in the fact i am getting the best of care..details on what/why they are doing what they are doing is explained during the appointment. This is how a "service" related business should run and i am so greatful for all the attention to details and the professionalism at every level and with every person.. Other dental practices should be red with envy and if they were smart...paying very close attention.!

This dental practice goes out of its way to orient its new clients. I arrived 15 minutes before the appointed appointment time, filled out the paperwork, had insurance verified, and waited on my hygienist. The front office staff were superb and were efficient and deft. I was immediately made to feel at home. In fact, you feel as if you are walking into a home when you first arrive - nice! As a new client, I met my hygienist, who took me on a tour of the facility and explained the inner workings of the practice. Ive never been given a tour before. When the tour was over, I met with Dr TIm Johnston, who welcomed me to the practice, reviewed my forms, the left me in the good hands of my hygienist, who did a great job - a pleasant, competent professional. If you are looking for a family practice, this is the place.

Im kinda stingy, in the fact, that Id usually not share good doctor info, until I move or something, because I do not want all of the appointment times to be taken; however, Williamsburgs best kept secret, Dr. Meghan Stenvall...is too good to be kept a secret - especially considering a lot of people have dentist fears. She is kind, funny, considerate, continues to check with you throughout whatever services she may be assisting you with. She truly is an artist! But the worst part is, she never gets to keep her art - which is the BEST part, you get to keep it and show it off if you want, of course. She is always smiling, every visit - from my arrival, until my departure. Geez I complain my jaw hurts just to have it open slightly while shes completing her art masterpiece...and Im not even smiling the entire time
