Cant say enough good things about Lakeside-Milam and their program as well as their staff. Checked myself into their inpatient facility back in February. Followed that up by IOP and outpatient at the Puyallup office. Almost all of their staff have been where you are in their past so they understand what youre going through. They require participation in a 12 step program, which is a blessing. Ive heard of far to many treatment centers that dont introduce their clients to a program, let alone require it while there and encourage it after youre done. The real healing takes place in the rooms of a 12 step program but what Lakeside-Milam gives you is how to live life on a daily basis again. I see a ton of people that didnt go to treatment struggling with why their brains are wired the wire they are and why theyre having PAWS symptoms (google it) months later. LMRC gives you a really good education on these if youre willing to listen and learn. Their family education sessions are also a blessing to those that choose to participate. They realize that it isnt just the client thats going through changes but the those close to them as well. The more involved everyone is the greater the chance for success!

I have gone to South Hill General Medical Clinic for about 20 years now. Every ear infection, every bout of strep throat, every urgent (but non-emergent) healthcare situation Ive ever had, I have gone to SHGMC. When I lived in Olympia and had a very severe case of strep throat, I still went to SHGMC, because it was like going to a long time family doctor. Anytime Ive changed jobs, and usually locations, and didnt have a regular physician yet, Ive always come to SHGMC. Especially when I didnt have insurance, I went here. They are quick, friendly and very inexpensive in a world where a simple office visit can cost you upwards of $500 before treatment. They know their stuff, they prescribe generics when possible to keep your costs down and sometimes theyve even offer samples of medications I needed when I didnt need a lot to get through whatever was going on. They may not have the fanciest building or the latest and greatest gadgets but they make up for it in personable, knowledgeable, affordable services. My last visit to them was August 2013 - and as usual, great experience all around.

Great that it is open until 10pm and we were helped very quickly tonight. My son needed stitches and the staff were very helpful, friendly and professional. Dr. Soi (sp?) was very good at making the situation seem manageable to our (fairly tough) six year-old and I would recommend Dr. Soi to anyone. Seven stitches with somewhat complicated clean-up around the scalp with a lot of hair in the wound--about $250, since the clinic gives 50% off if you pay at the time of service (I used a credit card and they can still file with insurance if they do this). Our friends had a similar situation with their daughter earlier this year and had to do an emergency room--$800 for fewer stitches and less complicated clean-up. South Hill General seems like an excellent value for quality care.

I have gone to this clinic a few times.. the first few times I was seen by Dr. Tsoi, an amazing and very compassionate dr.. (Love him!!) Unfortunately the last time I was in, I was seen by Dr. Bourdeau.. I have never in my 29 years cried because of a dr.. Well he succeeded.. I went in for a check up that was requested by Dr. Tsoi because I had bronchitis and a lower lung infection.. Dr. Bourdeau was very rude and uncompassionate.. Unfortunately I will probably never go back to this clinic because of my visit with Dr. Bourdeau.. Which is sad because the other dr and staff where absolutely wonderful.. So just a warning, if you go in make sure he isnt there. Worst Dr. Ive EVER met. And Im not one to complain much but I wanted to give a warning to those going in..

I went in get my 1 year prescription filled (they have done this in the past), explained what I needed, went through all the motions. Explained because Im hourly I cant take the time off of work to get into my normal doctor, and need this prescription filled. Instead they come back with with a 90d prescription and tell me I have to go see my regular doctor doctor anyways. WTF? So now I get to pay for 2 doctor visits, instead of one. They told me they dont those sort of prescriptions (note: they have in the past), then why the heck not tell me up front, and I would have left. As I said above, now I have to pay for another office call. Poor service, dishonest.

The nurse/technician was having difficulty cleaning out my sons ears. They told me to come back in the next day when the specialist would be in. I was told that I would not be billed for another office call, but that was not so, even though I mentioned it at check-in. They didnt charge me the co-pay, but they still billed my insurance, therefore, me, for the second call. An extra charge because they couldnt do the job right the first time.

I typically use South Hill general medical clinic. They are usually very good and quick about seeing you. The last time I went it took over 2 hours to be seen by a doctor and it wasnt that busy. Then after I pick up my prescription I found out that the antibiotic I was prescribed has an interaction with one of my other medications. I will not go back simply because this doctor failed to double check himself and put me at risk.

We were very happy with the care. The Doctor didnt rush through seeing us or taking care of treating our injury. But we did wait for about 2.5 hours to get looked at. So if you are in a hurry, do not come here. If you are patient and want a good place on South Hill that you can walk in without an appt. and see a doctor, this would be a solution.

I was seen because my eye was swollen, could barley open it. They measured how tall I was, weighed me, made me read the chart of letters, told me to take ibuprofen, got billed $230 1 time, they never billed my insurance and now I got sent to collections. Will not be visiting this place again

While the lady at the front desk seemed to be impatient/not in a good mood, and the wait times were a bit long, the Dr was incredibly nice and attentive. My son is scared of the Dr from a past negative experience and our experience here was so much better.

Went to probably 10 doctors and went through sleep tests, blood tests and doctors telling me I am basically being a wimp before the doctors here actually LISTENED to me and helped me find the real problem. My only regret is not going here sooner

Every time that I walk into this clinic the staff and doctors are rude. They must be the Puyallup left overs that cant work at the real doctors offices.

This is the slowest place ever ! The doctor didnt even get a good look at me before diagnosis then left me in my room for hours
