Showed up early for my appointment and I took about five minutes to complete my paperwork. It was not real busy. They had a staff of four plus the eye doctor. They took my paperwork and insurance card right away. I sat their waiting while they were handling a couple of telephone calls. It took all four of them to handle it. They got off the telephone and started talking bad about the customer. The one front desk employee looked over where I was sitting, but she didnt seem to care that I was hearing all of it. I waited another thirty minutes and noone said a word. The doctor had finished an eye exam on another patient and they still left me waiting. I decided to give it ten more minutes and then I was leaving. The girl who does the initial exam finally came over to call me back. I went to the room and said does it always take thiirty minutes or longer. She said, yes the eye exam does take about thirty minutes. I said, no I have been waiting that long since you took my paperwork. She said sorry I didnt realize it. This same person walked by me multiple times and was more interested in the calls then handling the exam. I said noone even said a word, apologized or gave an explanation. I told her if this is how you do business I was concerned how the rest was going to go. I told I was leaving. Now I have used the nationwide at 43rd Avenue and Cactus for over twenty years and had great service. Even on a busy Saturday, I never waited this long or was ignored. I am taking my business elsewhere.

Called to set up appt, the lady I spoke with kept forgetting what I was telling her and I had to keep repeating myself and she kept asking the same questions over and over. I was told the price was $39 w/o dilation or field of vision, and there was a discount with my insurance for the glasses and set that up and appointment 4 later this week. I was called the day before that they called my insurance and was told I was not insured w a company Id been w over 30 years. They told me to call and work it out w my insurance company and simply call them back when it was fixed, I call my insurance nothing was wrong and called Nationwide that day. They told me if they werent able to verify my insurance by my appointment on the following morning I would have to pay full price.. They also informed me the $39 exam is not valid on Friday the day they had made my appointment and the price I have been quoted. The $39 exam only on Tuesdays Thursdays and next Tuesday they did not have a doctor so Id have to wait another week without glasses. The issue I had already been through this this Nationwide Vision office Made Me leery of doing business with them at all.

Last time my family went there, they overcharged the co-pay. According to the plan, we only have to pay $15 per person per exam but somehow they said that it was $50. We found this out after the exams were performed. Oh, well, I guess we should have asked them what would we have to pay first. Now we go to Lenscrafter and pay only $15 per exam with the same insurance coverage.

This particular office is 26 miles away from us, but was worth the drive. I decided to come here based on positive reviews for this specific Nationwide location. We had an appointment and were seen promptly. Overall the entire staff seemed friendly. The doctor is great interacting with kids and Brandi is very helpful.

I Love this store I drive from Tonopah az to this location and have gotten 4 pairs of glasses from them. The experience is always great and the staff is 5 star rated in my book. I will continue doing business with them for years to come. It is well worth the drive every time : ) thx
