Ive lived in the Phoenix valley for 7 years now, having had to switch vets twice within that time. I unfortunately had to deal with numerous issues.. faulty vaccines that made my dog catch parvo (almost died), unnecessary recommended surgeries, poor teeth cleanings, an "ear infection" that ran me 3 appointments - $900 in office visits/Meds & in the end, it turned out my dog had cancer next to her ear the entire time. Of course removing that cancerous tumor ran an additional $1k+ I have now made my 3rd and FINAL move! We had the pleasure of having Dr. Ryan Dunning tend to our pups. In a time when it seems like a lot of vets are only in it for the office visits and billable hours, Dr. Dunning was the complete opposite. From the moment of our first appointment with him, he took his time to discuss in detail the issues with our babies. We didnt feel rushed at all during our appointment and he not only made our pups feel better, he also gave us the peace of mind that we would get through this. He was very professional, knowledgeable, kind and compassionate. Just being in the same room with him, you can tell he genuinely cares about each and every one of his patients. The entire staff seems amazing and the facility is very clean. I highly recommend everyone in the East Valley to make the switch to CountrySide, where they truly care about the animals AND the parents! Thanks again Dr. Dunning! We look forward to having you take care of our babies for however long you decide to practice!

Yes, this clinics doctors are knowledgeable, communicate well, and appear very good with animals.My issue is that their procedures and pricing are inflexible. Services are bundled instead of broken down by cost which means they cannot adjust costs for services if you do not want or need components of the bundled service. Specifically, I have a home visit vet for one of my pets. She needs x-rays done and sent to my vet for her evaluation. I dont really need the Board Certified Radiologist report for this. However, they can not deviate from their procedures or break the pricing down for just the services I need. Since they could not be flexible, I gave them contact information for the other vet...since I was forced to pay for it, might as well. However, I know my vet will have made her determination BEFORE their report arrives. So it really is a waste of the radiologists time and my money. I will not engage this veterinary hospital again for supplemental care for this pet. I will also find another vet for my other pet.

I had my dog neutered here today and I felt very comfortable throughout the whole process. My furry buddy can be a super skiddish so I was initially worried about having this procedure done- so much so I put off doing it for a long time..but I am SO glad I took him to Countryside instead of any of the other vets closer to where I live in Gilbert. When I walked in I could tell this was by far the cleanest vet office Id ever been in with an actual nice waiting room. Everyone I dealt with at Countryside was awesome! Especially the vet tech Diaundra and Dr. Ciminello who did the surgery- they were very sweet & genuine while interacting with my dog while I was there so I felt comfortable about leaving him in good hands. They kept me updated on his progress per my request and his surgery went great. They are providing me all the information and resources I need to make sure he recovers quickly. This will be my vet office in the future!

“Im continually impressed by the staffs obvious and sincere care for your animals. Many vet staff become jaded or insensitive to environment and how stressed the animal is, and while I understand that has got to be a constant and trying circumstance to always empathize with, its the main reason I return here. From just being aware of the rapidness of their movements and volume of speech, Ive noticed the staff at Countryside all show an awareness and empathy toward our pets stress levels as well as our own. Furthermore, they are rare in that they give you all the treatment options and costs from low to high, and you can tell them openly if you cant afford something without them showing any judgement. If you cant afford to do something for your pet, you already feel terrible angst over it internally, so their ability to stay neutral in those cases is invaluable, as are the Paw Plan options. ”

When my aging boxer kept me up crying all one Friday night I knew I had to get him seen by a vet ASAP. I called my vet as soon as they opened on Saturday morning only to be told that they couldnt see him until Tuesday. There was no way either of us could hang in there for three more days and nights. They recommended trying Countryside. The staff at Countryside was wonderful. Although they had no openings either, they offered to let me bring him in at the end of their day and they would see him. He saw Dr. Dunning, who examined him and was able to prescribe pain meds and antibiotics. Complete recovery. If he hadnt been seen until Tuesday we might have had a different outcome. From now on, Ill take all of my dogs to Dr. Dunning.

The overall atmosphere is friendly and welcoming, from the moment you walk in and leave. This has been the best experience for a first time dog mom, I really appreciate the genuine care this facility provides. Roscoe is not the calmest when he is in the office, but the staff is always very patient and understanding. It was great that after his surgery the office called and checked in on him and answered all of our questions. I especially appreciate that at his last appointment for a dental exam, the doctor was very truthful and provided great advice for us to improve his dental hygiene. We really appreciate all that your office does and will be coming back in the future. Thank you!

WOW!!! We are in our 80s and have had dogs all our married life and we just couldnt believe how amazing and caring and loving everyone is at COUNTRYSIDE ANIMAL HOSPITAL !!! Everyone from the front door on were so GREAT in so many ways!!! Today we had our precious 10 year old dog in for surgery, done by DR. Ryan Dunning........He called us right after the surgery was completed and told us all the details!!!!! We are soooo pleased with this Doctor....we never in all our years had a Doc like him!!!!! and everyone in this Place!!!!!! It would take pages to tell about all the love, consideration, caring and efficiency of this GREAT PLACE!!!!!

HIGHLY RECOMMEND! The technician and doctors were very attentive to my needs and concerns as an owner. They also treated my dog based off of her personality. For example, the last vet she went to was very upset with me because my dog behaved badly during a nail trim so I warned the vet tech at countryside that she might be bad... to my surprise the tech brought her back to me after the nail trim and said "She let out one yelp and was fine, she does better with less handling so I just trimmed her nails and let her do her own thing." I cant explain to you the joy that I had hearing that. Its not a "one size fits all" clinic.
