IF YOU NEED CHIROPRACTOR - MY REFERRAL TO DR RAY It was really scary moment of my life – I thought I will never be able to move normal without pain again. At that time my friend referred me to doctor Ray who helped her and her family members many times before – and my husband drove me there really next day. Staff was really friendly and informed me that they are not in any network, but are treating any patient as they are – so since I already meet my out of packet expenses I didn’t need to pay for an adjustment only for the massage(not covered by insurance as well), which is necessary to relax my locked muscles, get the kinks and tense spots out. After that it only took Dr. Peter Ray couple of minutes to do the adjustments (without hammers) – The pain was 99% gone I have been Dr. Ray’s patient ever since and visit his office every month (it is about 30 miles out of the way for me) He changed my life! And even if he moves farther away – I will make sure I visit him once a month or as needed. Don’t make my mistake – use referrals, and never visit chiropractor who you are not sure about. I am very fortunate I was referred to Dr Ray. WHY This happened to me - and WHY ONLY USE REFERRALS while choosing your doctor. I had extensive back pain on and off for several years and was able to manage it with massages and relaxation baths. But I was always too busy and saving money to take care the issue for good. This year My husband had a surgery in the beginning of the year, so we already covered all out of packet expenses and I had a little bit of time to visit a doctor. So I looked at the doctors covered by my insurance and look at the review and where they are located. I wish I would know then how wrong I was - only referrals from people you know can lead you to a good chiropractor. I found Dr Martin and schedule an appointment. The visit was about 25 min – filling out paperwork, then couple of minutes on the rolling bed and adjustment for another 3. Doctor said I need to visit him at least 10 times to see difference, We scheduled appointments throughout next couple of weeks every other day in the work week. I should have left the office for good the really next time when he tried to adjust my back with hammers – I cannot describe how painful it was, but it was my first experience with chiropractor and I didn’t know any better especially this doctor was in insurance network so I visited him 10 more times and every time he told me it is going to be better next visit. After tenth visit I told Dr Martin that I want to take break and will not be schedule appointments any more – he was livid, telling me that my insurance will cover 20 visits and I only have done 10 so he will bill me directly since I didn’t finish treatment, and tried to insist on next visit. I am glad I stopped then, very next day there I was on the floor of my bedroom not able to do any movements without excruciating pain in my back and shoulders, with my husband and friend near me not able to help. When I moved to Colorado ten years ago, I was in search of a chiropractor to continue the treatment I had been receiving in Canada (I was experiencing neck pain and severe headaches from sports related injuries). I identified several chiropractors in my area via my company’s medical insurance providers “in network” directory. After visiting several chiropractors I quickly realized that chiropractors are not created equal – in fact, I experienced MORE pain after a few visits to one chiropractic office – VERY frustrating. I finally consulted my chiropractor in Canada and he recommended Dr. Peter Ray (as Dr. Ray’s approach and methodology was very similar to his own). Dr. Ray is a miracle worker! His treatment plan quickly addressed my neck pain and I was headache free after a few sessions. He provided me with a series of maintenance stretches and explained in simple terms what was causing the pain and how to address the pain if I had a flare up. Finally! I now feel like I am in control of my chronic neck pain and headaches – I now know what triggers the pain, how to address the pain myself via stretches and exercises, and when to visit Dr. Ray for an adjustment. In addition to treating my neck pain, Dr. Ray identified an issue I was having with my heel rubbing in my shoe. The pain was becoming increasingly annoying and it was interfering with my day-to-day life (e.g. traveling for work, playing hockey, mountaineering, etc.) Initially, I went to a podiatrist to address the issue – the podiatrist brushed me off and told me that nothing was wrong. Why not mention this to Dr. Ray – perhaps he could address my foot pain. Dr. Ray quickly identified the problem: my foot pain was merely a symptom – the real issue was my hip – my hip was shifted out of place by more than two inches (which caused my right leg to be two inches “shorter” than the left, which was the root of the foot pain I was experiencing). Dr. Ray connected me with a reputable podiatrist who designed custom orthotics for my shoes. As well, Dr. Ray connected me with a physical therapist that created a rehabilitation plan. And last but not least, Dr. Ray scheduled regular chiropractic adjustments into the overall plan and monitored my progress – he orchestrated everything. I have Dr. Ray to thank for identifying the root cause of my foot paint I cannot even begin to imagine where I would be today if Dr. Ray did not identify the source of the problem. I know where I wouldnt be – I wouldnt be playing hockey twice a week and I would not be summiting my 18th fourteener this coming summer Thank you Dr. Ray – I am eternally grateful.

Dr. Ray is everything that a person could want in a chiropractor. The bottom line is that he is a very skilled and effective healer. If you have a structural issue or injury, this is the chiropractor to see for treatment. He has the knowledge, skills, intuition and caring necessary to help you. Dr. Ray truly listens to his patients, and thoroughly explains the details of anatomical structure, function and treatment related to a client s individual situation. He performs his very effective chiropractic adjustments with precision and with care. I appreciate this, as it is important to me to not only have my pain reduced, but also to understand both the problem and the solution. He is very capable of accomplishing all of that, and is also a genuinely nice person! I was initially referred to Dr. Ray by my family physician, who highly recommended him to help with my back issues. After assessing my back, Dr. Ray explained to me what was causing my back pain. His treatments for me involved a multi-pronged approach. I was shown exercises that he instructed me to perform regularly at home; in addition to this, I go to appointments at his office for massage therapy from his staff massage therapist, followed by Dr. Ray adjusting my spine. I look forward to these appointments, and always feel better after his chiropractic treatments. I am a 52-year-old female who enjoys regular workouts, cycling, swimming and running; it was annoying to have back pain interfere with these activities, but with Dr. Ray s advice and treatments. I can happily enjoy doing these things on a regular basis! Like many people, I am a much happier person when I get regular exercise. :) My daughter and I have been seeing him for several years, myself primarily for lower back misalignment issues and my daughter for frequent headaches as well as some spinal misalignment of her own. Because of Dr. Ray s expertise, I have significantly less back pain, and my daughter has also experienced less back pain and has had far fewer headaches. We both consider Dr. Ray to be an extremely helpful and valued health care professional, and we highly recommend him!
