Very disappointed in the care I have received here from both doctors and the desk staff. My first doctor sent me to get an MRI for my shoulder. I called repeatedly to hear about the results and never got a call back, and then I took it upon myself to get the results. The radiology department re-sent them to the doctor, assuming that maybe she didnt get the results the first time they were sent to her. Literally two months after the MRI, I got a note in the mail from my doctor attached to the MRI results, saying in her handwriting "I just got this." No explanation about the results, which showed some stuff that was not easy to understand. So I changed doctors, and made the mistake of staying with the health center. Recently, I damaged my knee dancing, and after the x-ray came back negative, my doctor suggested the possibility of gout. Since when does dancing cause gout? Not to mention that another doctor took one look at me and said you are way too healthy to ever be considered a candidate for gout. After I was sent to physical therapy per insurance, the PT called my doctor and said theres no way this girl can do physical therapy, she needs an MRI and a referral to an orthopedic specialist. For a week now Ive been calling to see where I am in the queue for the MRI. Ive been told that the order was submitted and that when insurance approves it (2-3 days), then it will be sent to radiology. Ive been told that the order was submitted and then the radiology department is what waits on insurance. Yesterday I spoke with the doctor himself, and when I asked him what I could do if anything to facilitate the MRI, he said "let me see", and then he said "oh I have some papers to sign." Today when I called to see where we were at, I got yet another story: The order was submitted today, (not a week ago?) and it will take up to five days ( not the 2-3 everyone else said?) for insurance to approve it. I asked to speak with a supervisor, stating that I felt like I was getting the runaround, and my request was dismissed. I still havent received a referral for an orthopedic doctor, which was supposedly submitted a week ago also. Ive only had the good fortune of seeing a specialist because I have a friend who was able to get me an appointment without a referral. To continue the saga of disappointment, the doctor at Middletown community health center did some tests and said well its definitely not your meniscus. The very first spot the orthopedic specialist palpated made me nearly jump off the table. He stated " thats your meniscus."

More of a business practice than a doctors. Will not fill prescriptions unless you see them once a month, and those visits cost a lot out of pocket, or from your insurance company. Try to leave for another doctor? They will not release your records and will take as long as possible till you give up and stay with them. Money first, maximizing their dollar second, patients last.

I been a patient for years I really wish they can be more of a clinic feel instead of a business setting seems a bit cold and I wish they had a childrens dept also a lab for quick results its not fair to wait 3 days for a STD result or a pregnancy result. Otherwise than that is great but not the greatest.
