I realize that a simple dental visit, to some people like me, can be a major deal, but that is not the case when one goes to Dr. Thurstons. To begin, the anxiety level will lower significantly after you step in and meet one of the girls at the front desk, Geri and Sterrin, they are so kind and friendly! Ive had quite a few procedures done by Dr. Thurston, and sometimes, when I thought the work was just getting started, no, it was already finished, and the anxiety was totally gone! Dr. Thurston is by far the best professional Ive met, not mentioning that he has a great sense of humor. I was surprised once to receive a call from Dr. Thurston himself to check on me after a procedure, talk about personal interest? Say no more. All of his staff members, including Stephanie, Theresa, Glenda, Melissa, Beryl, and my lovely hygienist Laurie, are so dedicated, well prepared, and qualified that one can only feel comfortable and most importantly, really happy and self-confident with the amazing results that they deliver! Many thanks to Dr. Thurston and his team for all they have done for me! They have helped to improve my smile so much that sometimes, I have to pretend to be talking to someone on the cell while I am driving, when the truth is I am looking in the rearview mirror and smiling to myself!

My husband and I have been treated by Dr. Thurston and his staff for almost 10 years, and have always received the best of gentle care. I not only benefitted from his extraordinary talent, but also from his knowledge of the latest implant techniques, and all that entails. He was able to restore my husbands smile, and has given me the ability to bite properly, to smile, and to enjoy life. I first became a patient of Dr. Thurston after years of botched implants and too many invasive procedures to correct the problems caused by them. Dr. Thurston and his staff is trained in the advanced techniques of 21st Century Dentistry, and is able to treat patients with the latest available procedures. I am forever grateful to his many hours of diligent care, and to his highly skilled staff like Barbara from his lab, his most professional and skilled chair assistant, Theresa, his thorough cleaning technician, Beryl. I dont want to forget both receptionists, Geri and Sterin, who always make you feel like youre the most important patient walking through their door. Thank you to all. Being new to the area, looking for a practitioner can be hard, this is not the case at Thurston Comprehensive Dental Center, the receptionist was so professional and calming (going to the dentist is scary for me) and she re assured me by explaining to me documents that I was signing and if anything was anything not discussed on forms that I would like to have noted as a comment. Kristy was excellent, very patient and work well with me (nervous and shaking me feet to keep busy) then the doctor walked in, very professional discussed treatment and told me that they will compile a treatment plan together and let him know how I would like to proceed, I was not pressured and my treatment plan was feasible and I went ahead and scheduled to have my work done, because I felt so comfortable with discussion with the doctor and projected treatment plan. I will let you know how the procedure will go, I think I should be okay and I think he will be gentle...stay tuned :)

Today was my first consult at first I was little apprehensiveness but when I talk about feeling like a family I felt as though I was one of their daughters. The environment was warm, heart-felt, and much welcomed! During the process I was aware of what was happening or going to happen every moment. The exam was thorough and the explanations clear as day, if I had any questions or concerns they were patient with me in providing all answers. Their state of the art equipment and lab allowed for a smooth fast paced consult. No having to wait for labs and x-rays to come back from a different location everything is within hands reach! Going to the dentist can be nerve racking and scary in its own, but the team at Thurston Comprehensive will help guide you through. I highly recommend this office to all who are looking for a unsurpassed and compassionate dentist. I am actually looking forward to my next VISIT!!! How many can say that?!?!

After years of gritting and grinding my teeth, I had worn my teeth to the point of throwing my bite off and destroying what was left of my teeth. I went to many different dentists who tried to fix my problems in small steps. This left me, through the years, experiencing a lot of pain in my jaw and causing my jaw to lock up several times. Some of this dental work that had been done, had even failed to the point of my not being able to chew properly. Dr. Thurston was the only dentist to see the big picture and realized I needed more help than patch dentistry. He completely rebuilt my mouth and corrected my bite. I havent had any problems since then and get many compliments on my smile now. Dr. Thurston and his staff are the greatest! He and his assistant, Theresa, are very knowledgeable and friendly. What a wonderful experience!

Over the years, I’ve been to several dentists in both the Lakeland and Tampa areas. Thurston Comprehensive Dentistry is by far the best! Dr. Thurston’s expert staff is extremely professional. His front office coordinators, assistants and hygienists all do first rate work and the office environment is very clean and comfortable. I travel quite a distance to the Auburndale location but its well worth the effort. I have yet to find a better overall dental experience anywhere else in the region. In addition, Thurston Comprehensive Dentistry has a state of the art lab facility on premise that provides fast delivery of client requirements. This helps to keep costs affordable while providing a wonderful turn-key service. Why go anywhere else!

I cannot begin to express how grateful I am to Dr Thurston and his staff. From the first time that I spoke to Geri when I was making my appointment I knew that she really cared about making me feel comfortable. I can honestly say that Dr Thurston is the most caring, compassionate, knowledgeable and skilled dentist that I have ever gone to. His assistant Theresa is amazing and talented too.
