The absolute worst optical facility I have ever been to. It started off by a phone call asking if they took my Humana/ Medicare insurance. They said yes it covers $80.00 (which I knew I had already called Humana) out of $135.00 with contact exam. Ordered 2 pair of glasses and 1 box of contacts. they wrote bill had my copay at $85.00 after debating the copay was wrong I said the heck with it pay it and get out of here. Glasses came in approximately 1 week later. The ear pieces were stretched so wide glasses just fell off of my head with the slightest movement I had. They tried to adjust unsuccessfully. Brought glasses someplace else to see if they could adjust. They pointed out how the wrong lenses were put in (not the ones I paid for) they were to thick and cracked the frame. It gets better I took there script to Sams club ordered new glasses and contacts. They came in approximately 5 days latter glasses and lenses were great perfect fit great vision. Got home looked at contacts Sams ordered they were a different script than the ones I had been wearing.. Looked at my prescription from sears they wrote it wrong bottom line sears wrote my prescription wrong. Went back to get it written correctly they said we no longer have an optometrist here so we cant re-write your script . Basically they said sorry for your luck. Thank god Sams Club will refund my money but not order anything but what is on script. If you are thinking of going to sears optical I urge u to reconsider and read other reviews worst customer service I have ever experienced and they just dont care about there customers. the staff does not even caring about wasting your money. I have been to this place before and had a decent experience that allowed me to get away with little more than some mild awkwardness. But this latest visit has me swearing never to return. After dropping my wife off right on time fo her eye appointment with these people I took my two small, fussy children back to the car to drive them around the area for roughly 40 mins so theyd quiet down or fall asleep. My own appointment had taken about that long, wait time and all. Walking into the opic center with one crying kid in a stroller and another bewildered baby in the crook of one arm I greet my wife only to discover that they hadnt even seen her yet. In fact they had kept her waiting in a back room for at least 30 mins without a single word. It seems the girl whod done her preliminary checkup stuff left without telling anyone she was back there. Whats really incredible to me is that the place (which is quite tiny by the way) was otherwise completely empty. They offered to "do it then," with my son crying and exhausted in the waiting area, and they werent even apologetic! While his staff ignored my incredulous statements to this effect, the doctor made a possibly quite mildly embarrassed statement that he "must have went into the wrong room." I dont even have the strength to go into why that is so preposterous. Dont waste your time here, theres a Lenscrafters across the street.

While the employees Ive dealt with at the Brandon, FL location have always been polite, if a little hard to push for the more expensive plans and options, it doesnt really seem like they always have the knowledge required to answer questions. Ive had them try to sell me specific lenses, yet be unable to answer questions about what they do, what the difference is, and so on. Ive had them tell me things only to go online and look it up for myself and see they were wrong... not necessarily lying, just incorrect, which is sort of a big deal when it comes to expensive prescription eyewear. I use these to see, after all! More importantly, however, the lab that does the work for them leaves a LOT to be desired. Not only does it take weeks if not months to get your order, which you pay for up front, the work is often shoddy. After almost six weeks and 750$, I got my new glasses... but there were scratches all over the lenses. I waited another two weeks, and this time received glasses that had a huge thumbprint IN the lens itself... could not be cleaned or wiped away. Three weeks later I finally got them back in wearable condition. This is a ridiculous amount of mistakes and problems to go through for such an important product youve already paid for, and my advice is to go elsewhere. They may be convenient, but professional they aint.

The doctor was great! Very personable! The doctor is the only reason they got 2 stars. I picked out 2 pairs of glasses while waiting for my appointment. After seeing the doctor I picked up the 2 pairs and sat while trying to decide. I finally picked one of the pairs and paid. When I went to pick them up the glasses that were handed to me were not the glasses I picked out. They did not fit right and were a different style. I was told "you picked them out while your eyes were dilated so you dont know what you picked". I said I had picked 2 pairs out BEFORE seeing the doctor (and having my eyes dilated) and these were neither of them. I walked up to the wall of glasses and pulled the 2 pairs that I had been deciding between and they were not the ones that were ordered for me. I was told that they are the pair that she had paperwork for so they are obviously right, I just didnt know what I picked out. Needless to say, I may go back and see the doctor but I will be picking out my glasses from another store. Now I have a really nice pair of glasses that fall off my face and dont sit right. I have gone back to wearing my old glasses.

This is a terrible place to go. Ive had the worst experience here. The assistant when you first walk in with the brown hair, is very very rude. He also took it apon himself to order my contacts for only ONE eye. I have a stigmatism in my right eye now & he caught an attitude beacuse i told him i didnt have one when i forst went in, which i didnt so now i have to pay more. I had a $130 allowence, he spent $110 & now i have to $50 to get my other pack of cantacts. I will never go back here & i regret spending any of my hard earned money here. Im out of $60 (sitting fee) & only have contacts for one eye.

The initial customer service here has become horrible. You call them to set up an appointment and they rarely answer the phone. If you leave a voicemail, they wont return your call. If they do pick up and tell you theyll call you back, you most likely wont hear from them. And then when I finally get someone to schedule my appointment, I cant get anything sooner than a week and a half away. I finally got fed up and tried somewhere else. With one call, I had an appt. set up for the next day. Ive been going here for years, but it seems to have gotten worse in the past year or so.
