My husbands stomach hurt on the middle to right side this week and went to this hospital was about to be discharged as having an ulcer but I decided to insist we get a CAT scan. The scan came back confirming his appendix was infected and needed to come out. So Ill dock them a star for this as that was the doctors fault there that was examining him. They should have done an MRI or CAT scan for his stomach just to be sure. Do not know why hospitals dont do this!! duh. Anyway, after it was known that his appendix needed to come out, we were met with the greatest staff ever. Dr. Henderson did the surgery and was great. Surgery went smoothly. Room was 205 and we pressed the button for the nurses frequently as he could not do much and the equipment had issues. They showed up quickly every time and were extremely friendly and hospitable. Had a fantastic experience overall and will be going back if need be. CONS: * Needle was misplaced on my arm for long term IV usage. They later had to place it correctly as it got kinked every time I bent my arm. Not a big deal. * Almost got misdiagnosed and discharged. * Battery on IV needed to be replaced for the entire time I was there, but no one replaced it and it kept shutting off when I took a walk and had to be reset by a nurse. * Machine to keep bloodflow in my legs stopped working and needed to be replaced. Not a big deal. PROS: * Very nice/professional people. * Nurses were not overworked and had good response time. This made all the difference! * Good surgeon/anesthesiologist.

This hospital sucks.Never in my life have I received such mediocre care and advice from doctors and nurses.I came in for some excruciating pain I had in my left shoulder and neck.Doctor came said a few words and told me we will do some x rays and send you home with some anti inflammatories ...okay fine.They did the x rays ,and I got a IM medication .My nurse Nina was extremely unnatentive.Just dry and flat and didnt make it a comfortable situation for me.Im there for pain ...offer me some pillows to prop my arm up with or something.I ended up using a blanket on the bed to do that.Even after seeing me with the blanket she still didnt even attempt to ask about my comfort or if I needed a pillow ..didnt offer me water or anything.From reading some of the other comments this seems to be the trend.This place doesnt offer good beside care.They are very stoic and flat.Nursing shouldnt be like That.I ultimately had to request another medication because that one did nothing for me.She told me after getting the med I would need a ride home ..I said okay...I got my discharge papers and just walked out.I drove myself home they dont care about you here.I had to call back and get t my x ray results because it wasnt important enough to them to go over such an important diagnostic tool for why I was there.Im extremely dissapointed.I will not be returning here unless god forbid it is a life and death situation .. Wish I could give zero stars .

Their mental health facility is a snake pit. Its a crime that they still treat the mentally ill like garbage. They put me in the geriatric ward because their beds were full. Let me tell you they let the patient scream all night in agony. When I complained about it they said "do you know where you are?" Like I was stupid and of course I said yes I know where I am. And they said "well what did you expect?" We werent allowed make up and I have a large birthmark on my face. I cannot tell you how many rude staff members there asked me what the hell was wrong with my face! Theyre supposed to be medical professionals and theyve never seen a birthmark before? One lady kept screaming all night for Depends and finally she soiled herself--she stunk up the whole ward and they just let her sit there. I started screaming at them are you going to let her sit there in that all night? Yes they were going to. The doctor was an absolute quack. He kept asking me why my hair was messed up. (Gee could it be because I was in the mental ward?) I told my friend to bring me a scrunchie and once I put my hair in a ponytail they let me out. They said "oh obviously are taking better care of yourself now." What a bunch of morons! They did not give me the correct meds the whole time I was there I was so messed up and I went there hoping to get my meds settled--ha what an idiot I was. Not the place to go if you want to get well.

Wish I couldve given negative stars!!! Worst hospital on planet earth, if anyone is seeking medical attention I highly recommend to go elsewhere!!!! Never in my life have I ever been treated worse and with such disrespect that here. Basically if you have any questions do not ask because they will deny you treatment and care. If you have any serious or worrying medical issues go somewhere else. I hope I save people the trip. You will have to go there with your arm literally hanging off or with your guts hanging out your mouth for the doctors and staff to take you serious or show any concern and still theyll prob just disregard and send you on your way. Even if you know the law and your patient rights do not plan on them to be honored or respected! I hoped and assumed people get into this field to show concern and compassion to patients but I was proven wrong! WORST ER WITH THE NASTIESR MOST DISRESPECTFUL DOCTORS, NURSES, AND STAFF ANYWHERE ON EARTH

Came into the ER and was treated quickly. What put me off about this place was the extremely unprofessional ER receptionist. There was a woman screaming in her room from obvious pain and discomfort. The ER staff made fun of her continuously up until the point where she was transferred upstairs. I overheard her saying,"The horse lady is going upstairs". Referring to the noises the lady was making in the room, as she continued to mock her and laugh. Truly unprofessional and disgusting behavior. I would not recommend this unptofessional hospital. They were slso not concerned with my issue. They just made sure I wasnt dying and kicked me out as quickly as possible. When to Good Samaritan hospital a couple days later for the same issue and had all my questions answered and the majority of my problems were resolved without any fuss. Actually it was an absolute pleasure going to that hospital. Avoid this place.

I am here with my loved one MELISSA V. and she has and is getting the best treatment ever from the emergency room nurses Louis and doctors to the nurses Paula overnight nurse and Stephenson and Tina day NURSE and Hector and Ena Dialysis nurses,with my loved one extremely ill and kidneys failing they made me feel so comfortable, and I dont know any of these professionals but they treated me and MELISSA like family ,we are still here in CCU and I am forever grateful for them for saving her life I also wanted to add the third floor as well Shameka and James were AWESOME nurses extremely professional and great patient care skills ,and I also liked the DIALYSIS nurse on that floor as well and the Doctor answered alot of our questions being that this MELISSA first time I dialysis and she was extremely ill stage 4 acute kidney failure Thank God for everyone at this hospital
