My dog & I met Dr. David over 15 years ago. She took to Dr. David right away & not once during any visit including when we had to say goodbye to our furry baby did he ever muzzle her because she is a bully breed. (Rott) Since het passing of in 08, we had remained pet less until we became co parents to an aging dog. The original owner provided all veterinarian care & food, while we provide a clean, calm, safe, caring environment for the old fellow to enjoy his golden years. Unfortunately, it has come time to say our final good byes to this loveable, furry step child. Remembering how Dr. David helped Our baby girl & her human parents, it was without hesitation that I asked my co parent if I could please take my step son to meet Dr. David for his final journey. Once agreed upon, I called the office, & although I havent had a pet in the office for over 10 years, they explained our options & gave us an appointment right away. I am so grateful Dr David found his calling & landed in Indiana. His office may be over an hours drive one way for me, but not only is it worth the drive, I have become a better pet parent because of Dr. David & his amazing staff & their combined expertise which they are happy to share. Side note: re: the "groomers husband" I hope you turned over what ever "evidence" you have to the proper authorities for investigation & have solid proof & not just hearsay to back up your claims. Did you not ever play the telephone game? re: "denied appointment" You might want to check the number & dial again my friend. Ive NEVER known Briarcrest/Dr. David to turn away any animal or human parent...including non current co parents.

AVOID!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Me and my wife have been in the area for over 3 years now, and we have seen dogs in the care of this office decrease/perish left and right. We know this because my wife is a dog groomer and is astonished that they are still in business. A couple of the many examples: A misdiagnosed bladder infection (his most common diagnosis I imagine) for a dog that actually had pancreatitis (the dog was spitting up blood). Unfortunately it was too late for the dog by the time the owner got a second opinion. Another dog had a stint put in for a broken leg, sent home with good marks, and come to find out that the bone had been shattered without any acknowledgment. The costs are quite reasonable, which is why I am sure they receive a lot of business, BUT YOU SHOULD AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!!!

I received wonderful service for my 10 year old kitty, who has been urinating out of his litter box. The vet was very kind, brief, and to the point. I walked out with antibiotics and advice for what to do from there. The vet was easy to talk to and just what I would want from a vet. Simply put...they care about animals and their owners at Briarcrest Animal Hospital. They dont just want your money (like some of the other places in downtown Indy). Well worth the 45 minute trip to get there and I will be returning for any future kitty visits. :)

I was referred to Briarcrest from a groomer who was treating my cat for mites due to a misdiagnosis. I spent alot of time and money getting her treated for what a fancy vet in Carmel said was mites. I went to Briarcrest and within minutes of evaluation he diagnosed her with allergies. He gave me some pills that have cleared her up for over a year now. He is very cost efficient. I drive 45 minutes from Indianapolis, but it well worth the trip to know that you are dealing with someone who is experienced and not just there for your money.

Great Vet and Staff at Briarcrest! We have been taking our 2 dogs to Briarcrest for the last 7 years and have always had fast, friendly, and professional service. A few months ago we had to have our oldest dog euthanized and their staff was very compasionate and even sent us a sympathy card in the mail.

The best Vet around Central Indiana. Dr. Brichler is a Purdue grad and has served our animals for over 20 yrs now. Anyone that has their office/clinic on site at a farm and cares or camels, goats, peacocks, and anything in need has to be an amazing person and vet. He is always worth our drive.

Powderpuff Persians

Excellent Veterinarian! Years ago, I took my Labrador to him and then moved away or I would be taking my Powderpuff Persians to him now. Very knowledgeable and very fair prices! He is extremely nice and its like going to a zoo with all the farmyard animals running around at his practice!

My first time going was a little over two years ago with my baby boy (cat) Sonic who was 19 yrs old. They gave excellent care to my boy who had cancer and sadly past away 7/16/14. I will continue going with my other babies as well. Thank you to all the staff!

Dr.Brickler and his staff are the most caring group of people for your pets. They are not there just to collect money from you. They charge you a very reasonable fee and truly care about your pets.They are a first class group of professional people that care!

Love Dr Brichler. He was great and really treated my Ella (cat) with great care. Shes just 6 months old and he will be her vet as long as hes in practice. The entire staff was really great and it wasnt too difficult to get an appt that fit in my schedule.

Gone to him for cats and dogs. Wonderful, caring, FAST visits but understandable terminology. Never have been spoken rude to one time. Ive had Cats declawed, dog spayed, shots, and more. Not ever one problem!

My other vet at VCA was charging a total of $444 for the same services Briarcrest was charging $177. I think it is worth the Dr. and Dr. Brickler was recommended.
