Family member is in this place and it is not a good place by any means. My family members clothes, shoes, coat, money and personal items are stolen everyday. He never has clothes to wear on a daily basis. Every time I go to visit he has on NO clothes or outfits that dont belong to him. He is not allowed to go outside in a confined area for patients unless he smokes. Going outside should be to breath fresh air not limited to smokers. When he is shaved they take off a layer of his skin on his face and it is very painful. I am not treated very nice when I try to take him out for the day. Most of the time the staff seems irritated with me without reason. I am told to call before visiting and when I try no one answers the phone. The lady that takes care of the desk when you enter is a sweetie and she is very kind and helpful. I believe a lot of patients in this center are there because they have no money or proper guardians to investigate this facility. Also the halls are so crowed with patients and wheelchairs that if any emergency did occur many patients would never get outside. I was told by my family member that some patients throw food in the dining room and once tore the phone off the wall. Not a safe and healthy involvement.

This is the most disgusting, filthy, horrifing place I have ever seen. Why Warren Woods is not shut down by the state is beyond me. I plan on contacting the state , fire marshall and any other entity to have this place investigated and shut down. The staff is under educated and unprofessional. The equiptment is out dated , run down, not in working order, not cleaned, ripped or torn. There is no phones in the residents rooms which leaves the residents unable to contact police or family in the event of abuse or neglect. The portable phone is not in working order. The television in my borthers room was not in working order. The residents are scattered in the hallways making a hazzard in the event of a fire or a medical code. The staff would not be able to manuever the crash cart into the room. Paint is pealed off the walls in the patients rooms and the furniture looks like it came out of the ghetto. DO NOT even think of putting your loved ones in this facility. I cant even rate this place a 1 it is so bad. Rate a "0". That is what I rate the owners , the staff and the care. "0".

WARNING: If you love and care about your love one do not, I repeat do not put them in this facility. The place is an absolute dump. Staff is rude and under educated, the food is horrible, the place is dirty and smells like urine, patients are scattered throughout the corridors making it difficult for visitors and other personnel to move around. Patients are not being treated with the dignity and respect they deserve. I witnessed a patient sitting in the hall with just his depend on and a staff putting a hospital gown on him. This is something that should have taken place in the patients room not in the hallway for all to see. I truly can not understand how this place is open and operating. This place should be closed down period. Our love one was sent there from U of M Hospital and we were told that s the only place that would take him. Hes been there for one week, hes depressed, hes refusing to eat the food as well as refusing to receive visitors. Finally, we have been successful in moving him to another facility in Grosse Pointe.

My relative was in this facility for 3 years until he passed last January. Yes, it smells like urine. However, he loved the food and went to the dining hall three times a day. He also went to several Tigers games, the casino, several restaurants, the park, and anywhere else they would go on their monthly outings. He was in a wheelchair and on a very strict diet (and could hardly speak) so this was a blessing for him to be able to still go out and enjoy life. The staff spoke and treated him with dignity even when they didnt realize I was in the room. I also appreciate that I worked with the same staff from the minute he moved in until he passed. Their employee turnover rate was very low. I was there twice a week for 3 years and I never saw ANYTHING that would make me call the state. Actually, their state statistics were pretty good compared to similar facilities in the area. I think people just see this place is on the corner of Hoover and 10 Mile and assume its a dump. I would fine going there when its my time.

To start off if you have to put a family member in a facility look pass this place! The first thing is that they are dirty and the stinch of urine hits you as soon as you open the door. I know why that is because the staff doesnt care for the residents. I witnessed first hand how a resident needed to go to the bathroom and 3 different staff people walked right pass him... so sad. Then once he started screaming they want to take him to his room. The staff here doesnt care about the residents my mom was here for (knee replacement therapy) ONLY 1week. WE HAd to get her out of there. She was not bathed or showered unless my sister or myself did it. The food was horrible, and the ice is in coolers with a garbage bag... not suitable for a dog! There call lights didnt work and when you did need help you were better off doing it yourself because the staff would do a half job.. MY mom wIll finish her recovery tIm at home.. they dont deserve the 1 star. Please for your on sanity do not go here!!!

Do not put any of your family or friends in this facility. The staff is very under trained and rude. The smell of urine will knock you on your ass. My uncle was served his breakfast with a full urinal sitting beside his tray. Patients are packed into rooms and the rooms are nasty. If you try to transfer your loved one the staff gives false information about the patient so that the potential facility will refuse to take them to the new facility. My uncles clothes were stolen during laundry and things that were supplied to him were either thrown out or used for other patients.

Family member who is in a coma was sent here and after only few days he ended up in hospital again with serious urinary tract infection. The place smelled bad, was outdated, messy and dirty. It did not help that it was 100 degrees in there. Staff was not trained properly and unwilling to help. When asked why is the patient soaking wet ( in urine, even though he was supposed to have catheter) the staff responded with so what?! Do not send your loved ones here! It is absolutely terrifying places like this are open!

My Sister is in there and it looks like the staff and I are going to tango. Not a happy camper she isnt getting her meds. She has only been in there for one day I am going to start a diary and call the State They have three people to a room three people, so they are tripling the residents and underpaying the Staff.
