This dental office and their team exceeds others Ive gone to in the past for the following reasons: 1) When ever I call to make an appointment I always get through to someone immediately. Their receptionist (s) are wonderful and will do their best to work with your schedule to ensure an appointment for you. Should you have to cancel they do their best to fit you in elsewhere. I work and am a student so my schedule is very limited in terms of my availability. They always have been able to fit me in. 2) Upon arriving Im instantly greeted by the front desk and checked in. Ive never had to sit in the waiting room long. From the moment I walk in to the moment the doctor sees me, I never feel "forgotten" like I have at doctors offices in the past...where you wonder if they honestly forgot you were in the waiting/patient room! Someone here is constantly checking in with you. 3) The staff is incredibly knowledgeable and up to date on all of the most current techniques in the field. One of the hygienists told me they frequently take classes to remain current in the advancements being made in the field. Top notch equipment allows then to offer their patients the most advanced treatment options available. 4) They have a new doctor in addition to Dr. Smith now, Dr. Sheng. Dr. Smith may have some competition as she is just as wonderful, not to mention approachable and incredibly knowledgeable. Both doctors and their entire staff work together to ensure their patients feel at home. Since many people experience some sort of anxiety when in a dental office (myself included), they strive toward a relaxed atmosphere along with a gentle treatment plan that suits each patients individual needs. (I also have never laughed as much at a doctors office as I do here, the entire staff is hilarious, almost like its part of the job requirement!) You can tell they all genuinely love working together and helping patients like myself. 5) The office is extremely clean. The cleanest Ive actually ever seen regarding a doctors office. Tidy, well organized, recently redone and very modern. Also always smells nice in the waiting area, not overly sweet like with some of those wall scents, just the right amount of "freshness." I will be a life-long patient of the Whittaker Road Dental team. I feel like every time I walk in I am part of one very large family. It simply does not get any better than that.

Its not everyday you have an extraordinary experience, when doing business with the local dentistry but thats exactly what I had at Whittaker Road Dental! From the start, I was greeted at the desk by a lovely young lady. I believe her name was Nancy. I dont even think she was responsible for greeting new customers but that didnt stop her from making me feel welcome. What a smile! I was offered refreshments by another associate while I waited for my appointment. I was promptly called to the back by a cheerful and energetic woman. She said her name was Skip or that was probably just her nickname. I wasnt long waiting in the dentist chair when an exuberant and confident man came briskly into the room to have a look at the embarrassment I call my teeth! He introduced himself as Dr.Eric. I thought surely I was a lost cause as my teeth were in all manner of disarray. That didnt stop him from making me feel comfortable while diagnosing and offering a treatment plan that was not only understandable bit reasonable and honestly expected. They were able to coordinate professionally with my insurance agency and provide a comprehensive and competitive package to have several of my teeth repaired, whitened and straightened. Once again Nancy came to the rescue to help explain my insurance coverage as well as its limits. Most importantly, she provided me reassurance that Id be taken care of. I know Im in for the long haul with the amount of work I need but I actually look forward to my many trips to Whittaker Road Dental. You guys rock!!

My husband drove on dangerous roads in the dark to come to his evening appointment last night only to find out they decided to close without telling patients. There was a flimsy sign written in highlighter on the door. He was not the only patient that showed up. He had gotten the reminder phone call and had confirmed for last night. I understand the weather sucked but they should have called people. Thats extremely rude and unprofessional and the last thing were going to put up with from their office. Were looking for a new dentist. When we first started coming to their office a few years ago we were very happy with the services provided but since they have gotten bigger the level of our satisfaction has declined. When I was told that they didnt want to see children until they could sit still in the chair I was completely turned off seeing as the American Dental Association and American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry recommends they be seen by their first birthday. Our entire family should be able to see the same dentist and they sold themselves as a family dentist...what a lie.

This office is completely incompetent at dealing with insurance. Since the first time they failed to submit the proper information to my insurance company, they continuously have sent me bills to pay the entire cost of a common procedure (wisdom teeth extractions). 21 months later and numerous phone calls to my insurance company and the dental office the claim was paid only because a rep at the insurance company was willing to resubmit the claim piecing together the correct information that the dental office couldnt manage to submit properly all at the same time. The insurance company had even contacted the dental office several times and walked them through a detailed description of what needed to be done. Obviously this office is counting on patients not fighting when they claim a procedure isnt covered by insurance. The kicker was the insurance rep telling me the dental office was violating the contract they signed with the insurance company by billing me prior to submitting the proper information for the claim to be resolved.

Amanda was my dental hygienist and I will not ever be coming back to this establishment. Extremely rude and judgmental from the very start of my visit when I asked if I could have the remote. The dentist is not something we as patients count down the days with joy. We dread it every time and if I dont want to watch Little House on the Prairie during my visit I shouldnt have to it. And I should not have been judged for liking soap operas. Amanda was very rough with me when it came to flossing and my teeth actually hurt when I left. My teeth has never hurt EVER after leaving the dentist. There was no common courtesy or respect for me and I was livid after leaving. I would suggest having a talk with Amanda reminding her that she should check her values at the door when working with patients as well as getting to know the patient she is putting her hands in. The only thing she wanted to know was how old I am....REALLY?!?! How is that even any of her business. Just RUDE!!!!

I had gone to the same dentist all my life (35+ years) and was very apprehensive about a new one. Dr. Eric and Dr Tracy are EXCELLENT. The staff is also very good. I have been a patient for 2+ years now and have never waited more than 10 minutes. My extended family are patients there too and have only had very positive visits. Wow did things change. I needed a root canal two days before my vacation. Dr. Eric said he could do it. That is when things went from bad to worse. After the root canal I still had pain and went back to Dr. Eric many times. He prescribed antibiotics and steroids but I STLL had increasing tooth pain. After months of pain I contacted a root canal specialist and He promptly treated the problem. I had infection in my jaw bone too! The specialist was able to save my tooth and the pain was gone. I no longer go to Dr. Eric for obvious reasons however I am very happy Dr. Tracy has opened her own office on Rawsonville & Huron River Drive in Belleville.
