Was with the company for 2 years through my employer. Rates were outrageous. The first year they paid for my office visits except for 2 all to the same doctor. When I hesitantly reupped the next year I was assured they would pay for my office visits in the future. The next year they covered 1 out of 4 of my office visits, again to the same doctor, and stopped covering my medication Id been taking for years and I had to go through an appeal process they told me Id have to redo annually to keep my GENERIC medication. This was for a PPO plan. Ive been through most major insurance companies in my employment history without complaint. These guys are unprofessional and their customer service is antagonistic and wont let you talk to anyone above the first person you speak to. I am only greatful I didnt have to rely on them for any catastrophic medical situation. Stay away if you can. If youre employer picks them youre better off going it alone.

My work uses Hometown Health insurance, but I was considering buying my own plan and opting-out. I am new to health insurance so finding the right company with the right pricing was very important to me. When I called their customer service, they were quick to answer the phone, and even quicker to answer all of my questions, so I decided to stick with them. I have some friends who use other companies and pay way more for their coverage while getting anywhere from the same, to drastically less coverage; I would definitely recommend Hometown Health for anyone looking for affordable, local coverage.

Ive been trying to submit basic claims to these people since last September. Spoken with multiple employees, each of whom has assured me theyll be back in touch shortly after reviewing my information. Not one freaking word. Were out thousands of dollars at this point. Please understand Im not some crazy disgruntled person, and dont slam companies online unless theyre an actual hazard to the public. In this case, I cant even imagine how bad the experience is for elderly and/or very sick patients. My heart goes out to them. Hometown Health is bad news.

I am new to health insurance because my parents until recently were paying for me. When I began shopping around I heard that their rates were a bit cheaper so I gave them a call. Their customer service was very kind, and when I finally did sign up with them they walked me through every step of the process. This stuff is complicated, and they did a great job of simplifying it for me.

Wow all of my ductables have doubled this year without notice. Still the same huge premium for me and my family but just half the coverage. Very dissatisfied about this but yet nothing will ever change it. I hate Americas healthcare system

Be careful read everything ask a lot of questions because this insurance really doesnt cover anything important this insurance sucks
