My dog was rapidly dying and I took her in to the vet for the last time to see if they could come up with anything new. Dr. Eddy chose to focus more on my dogs matt on her leg (which she called a "quality of life issue"), and on her nails, than the fact that she was dying. She seemed very judgemental to me, and I didnt appreciate her behavior. She didnt listen to me, and I had to constantly ask her more and more specific questions to get an answer out of her. For instance, she kept saying we could do blood tests to determine if it was cancer, or liver and kidney issues. But I told her directly that I wasnt going to put my dog (who was 15) through surgeries or chemo, because it wouldnt have made her life any better. I continually had to ask her what the outcome would be if they found out about certain illnesses and had to ask if it would really do her any good, and she seemed to be dodging my questions. I think its because she wanted to do tests and get some cash out of me. Then, after she told me very specifically that the only things that could have been going on were cancer, or liver or kidney issues, she suddenly tells me it could also be thyroid issues. Later, I looked online and found that my dog had absolutely none of the symptoms of thyroid issues. She also took my dog in the back to do blood tests, and decided to trim her nails without having asked for my permission. My dog always hates to be handled by strangers, and it likely terrified her. I told the Doctor that my dog got stressed out, and she did it anyway. My dog died that night. Dr. Eddy should have thought about her actions. My dog didnt need any added stress when she was already dying. Overall, I felt the Doctor was totally incompetant. If I could go back in time I would have never taken my dog to them. I will never take an animal back there.

Ive been going here for over 9 years for two different animals. Its always been convienient, but never really felt blown away by the care or the overly casual, cavalier attitude of the doctor and some staff members. My Pomeranian was losing fur for a while and the vet said it might be due to "scratching from fleas", even though he didnt have fleas and the areas of hair loss and other symptoms were clearly not in keeping with that. I later went back and told them Id read some stuff about alopecia in poms on the Internet. The doctor then brought a textbook to the examination room and pointed out the entry about Pomeranian alopecia asking "is this what you mean?" and then kinda shrugged it off, like thats just what happens to some dogs for some reason. Did I just diagnose my own dog? Why am I paying $50 for this? They referred me to their "dermatologist", who was basically just a groomer. They could shave him so his bald spots were less noticeable. No additional tests were done. There were also other incidents over the years of over charging for follow ups, etc. I started going to another vet and immediately the difference was palpable. They were professional, invested, and concerned. The doctor immediately, correctly diagnosed my dog with a fungal skin condition and prescribed the appropriate medication. Within weeks the hair loss my Pomeranian had been experiencing for years started to reverse and his coat started to become full again. Listen to your intuition if youre not sure about the care youre receiving. It might come down to different preferences in taste and attitude, but thats enough. I shouldnt feel like visiting a doctors office is as thorough or accurate as a 3 minute Google search.

I dont typically post reviews, but I am very disappointed with this clinic. I took my dog in very concerned about her being sick and Dr. Dilday was incredibly vague about what might be wrong with her. When I asked him for specifics about what my dogs symptoms could mean he gave me a laundry list of things before he said it was probably nothing because she looked fine. I asked him if she could possibly have kennel cough and he said maybe, but probably not, but there was no real way to tell and even if it was there was nothing I could do about it. He seemed quite unconcerned with her welfare or the fact that I was really looking for some concrete recommendations and next steps. Once home, a one minute research check on Google told me that my dog had classic signs of kennel cough, which if necessary, could be treated with antibiotics. I ended up at Dove Lewis in the night and they were FABULOUS and gave me tons of helpful information, were very thorough and genuine. FYI - if all you need is a routine check up or papers to have your pet fly, this place is sufficient. But if you are in a position where you really need to trust your vet and your pets health is at risk, go elsewhere.

I had nothing but good experiences with this clinic. My dog was a rescue and so he had some issues as well as being older. Dr. McKinney new I was on a tight budget and so she would discount some of the lab work or not charge me. As my dog grew older, so did his health. It got to the point where both Dr. McKinney knew the next step would be hospitalization with no guarantees of outcome. Dr. McKinney took the time to talk to me about all the possible outcomes. I knew in my heart I would have to put my dog down. Dr. McKinney understood the pain and guilt I was feeling and constantly reassured me I was a good "mom" to my dog and I did everything I could to keep him well. After my dog passed, I got a wonderful sympathy card. The techs were very good with animals and seemed to really love their work. The only complaint I have is there seemed to be a rather high turnover at the front desk and the people hired did not seem to know what was going on. It is for that reason I could not give it 5 stars, but will take my pets back to this vet.

I love Goose Hollow Veterinary Clinic. I wasn;t sure I would stay after Dr. Tesser left but I am so glad I did. The Dr. (owner I think) and David the tech saved my Queen Felines life. We werent sure what was up and the Dr. found out it was diabetes. I was devastated. I live for Miss Missy I wait on her hand and foot. She is my alarm clock, she is hilariously demanding, and she is my favorite "person" LOL. David taught me how to inject the insulin perfectly. I followed all of their instructions. She was in remission after two weeks. She has been diabetes free for over a year. The women at the front desk are amazing. They order her prescription food monthly and always have everything ready for me when I go in to pick the designer food. (they all know Miss Missy likes the morsels not the pate. I am so grateful for all of the people who work there. Especially the owner/Dok and david and all who help me carry the 31 cans of food out to my car. I wouldnt go anywhere else.
