I have never been to St Johns Vet Clinic until today. I moved to this neighborhood 2 1/2 years ago but had continued to take my dog Crescent to her old vet 45 minutes away. I had tried the Companion in St Johns but did not think it was a good fit for us. Today was an extremely difficult day where I had to let my girl of 12 years go. She was in pain and I did not think a long car ride would have done her any good. All of the staff at St Johns Vet Clinic were compassionate and understanding. They were honest with me about possibilities of why my dog was in pain and so ill but they did not try to talk me into tests or treatments that would have risked her quality of life. They were realistic and I appreciate that. I feel that the staff went out of their way to help my dogs passing to be the most peaceful it could be. They carried her in with a stretcher from my moms car and gave her an extra sedative to relieve her pain before suffering. We were never rushed either. These are the types of people that I want to trust my animals lives with. I highly recommend going here, I look forward to taking my future pets here and creating some happier memories relating to this establishment. Thank you for making this difficult day a lot easier with your compassion.

Not recomened at all. We took our dog for surgery 3 months ago, they day i went to pick him up, i asked 3 times if i needed to have special instructions, a surgery for a dog is not a small issue, they say no, and handed me a bag with his meds saying the instructions were there, i trusted them and went home, that night turned out they didnt close right my dog started bleeding and they gave me the wrong meds, they mixed the names with another dog was there for a visit, they said they look similar, sorry, how my dog being a male and older look similar to a shorter female dog?, cause that day i saw the other dog leaving, also i asked 3 times to the woman, and she said no, and guess wgat, the instruction as they said were there, were not they never printed the sheet with the post care information, this surgery wasnt cheap at alm for them to be so careless and not professional at all, they were playing with my dogs well being!! The worse part is that he never recovered after tjis, a d started getting bad and baf, today my dog is dying and i can say is due to this bad surgery and lack of care and profesionalism from this clinic!!

My dog ate something and I wasnt sure what it was so I took him here. I told them that I thought it was rat poison and they told me to take a seat. I waited for 15-20 minutes before asking about costs to pass the time. The receptionist said that I would have to wait until the doctors lunch break to be seen as this clinic is appointment only. His lunch break was in an hour! I was furious and asked where I could go to get help. They told me about Companion vet clinic in St Johns because "they take walk-ins". I rushed there and within 5 minutes they gave him a shot that induced vomiting. It WAS rat poison and he had eaten a lot of it! Hes still alive because of them. If I had waited and not said anything at St. Johns clinic then my dog would be dead.

We have been taking our dogs here for multiple years. It started because I needed a more affordable vet, and they happened to be within 10 blocks of where we lived. But we moved more than 100 blocks away, and still make sure that our dogs are seen by Dr Chapman or Dr Davis because we have gotten such good service, honest appraisals, and even suggestions for great dog boarding locations when we were going on a vacation where we couldnt take the pups. The staff at the front desk is always helpful, and weve even had the surprise of getting to pick free toys off the Christmas tree during the holidays. I cant think of a reason why you wouldnt take your furry family members here...

Have been going here 10 years. Today had to ask if this clinic was under new ownership. The customer service was atrocious. No greeting, no active listening or even inquiry as to our concerns/input in regards to our pets health. The doctor didnt introduce herself, instead joked to her assistant as to how she lost her watch, "hopefully not in surgery". Not one employee seemed to like animals, no one pet our cats or tried to get to know me as a customer (even a, "how are you today?" would have sufficed). I was in/out in 22 minutes with 2 cats for $201.00. That is $200 for a shot because there was no other service provided. Highly disappointed and we will be changing providers.

My family has had the best vet experiences ever at this clinic. Our pets have been family to all staff and Drs. When it was time for our jack russell to be "gently rested" from her Cushings disease, (she had seen Dr Mary, all 12 years of her life) we were never rushed, and our companion was treated in a very dignified way. (I still cry when I have to talk about it) Our new dog loves this place! We hope to have many happy years with "our" Dr. Mary, and all the staff here. I recommend them to everyone looking for a great vet.

Rebandaged, a simple 5 minute visit. And there is only 3 or 4 other people here and my cat is still bleeding and Ive been waiting for 1:20 for this rebandaged witch should of taken 2 efin minutes to do... But they know what they are doing and the people are nice. I didnt complain. Still they need to prioritize and get thing rolling smoother.

I have had nothing but problems with this place from an absent minded vet to rude customer service. From over priced visits to receiving the wrong medication and arguing that its not wrong my dogs meds where white and they gave me yellow. My dog died a month later. I will never go here again take ut pet at your own risk.

We love Dr Davis and have been bringing our cats here for years. The doctors and nurses genuinely get to know our pets and do their best to make them comfortable each time we visit. 2 thumbs up!
