WORST HOSPITAL EVER! I was seen in the ER today for an bad sinus infection. I sat on the litter and watched a girl at the desk type at a computer for 45 minutes. The rest of the ER was empty except for a guy next door to me. I wondered why no one had been in to see me in all this time. Finally, the same girl comes waltzing into my little area and tells me shes a Physicians Assistant and will be examining me. She stuck the otoscope in my ear and couldnt seem to find my ear canal. She ended up scraping my ear with the tip of it and I winced in pain. She promptly stood back and told me I had a cold and should go home. I complained to her. She said that was her opinion and thats that. I became very angry. I asked her for antibiotics as I knew I was going to get sicker. She said I didnt need them. She was very rude to me and acted like she was a hotshot. I felt like complaining to the Administrator and told her so. She called the Administrator on the phone and said she was having trouble with a patient and that the patient wanted to speak to her. I never told her that. I yelled to her that I didnt want to talk to the administrator and she called the charge nurse who backed her half wit diagnosis. Then she sent in a real doctor who told me they did not prescribe antibiotics anymore after I just heard him give one to the guy next to me. So now she sends in the Director of Nursing who backed up this half wit who should not be treating people. So now its off to another place to get better. I told her I would have to do that and she said she didnt care. I told her on the way out that if she didnt want to treat people that she shouldnt be there. Her answer was, "Im sorry you feel that way". Very smug of her. I am reporting her. Harriburg Hospital hires incompetent people. I will never go back there again and I will do everything I can to make sure all of Harrisburg knows how deadly they are. Anyone who reads this who wants verification can email me at me17011 at gmail dot com. This is all true. By the way, in case you make the huge mistake of going there, her name is Liz and shes in the ER.

I am a current patient at Harrisburg Hospital and todays date is May 16, 2017 . This is by far the worst hospital Ive ever stayed at or ever been to and I would die before coming back here. I cant believe the lack of communication between the doctors and the mental health and the nurses at this facility . I came in here for an accidental overdose was put on suicide watch for no reason because I disagree with a mental health professional . They refuse to listen to me or refuse to answer my concerns or questions that I had . They said theyre here to make me feel better but the only thing theyre doing is causing me more anixty. When I tell them that they say we give you medication for that no wonder we have all the drug Addicts we have in this world . The hospital is only concerned about their liability than they are about their patients and their Health. When I complain to the main nurse and to hospital staff they all give me the same runaround about hospital policy. I have called patient representative Care Im waiting for a callback . The doctor here I cant remember what his name is is absolutely the worst with communicating with me and lied to me . I cant even trust any of the professionals here that I request to have a third person be a witness thats how bad it got. The mental health professional named Jerome is a hack and I dont know why he practices mental Health when all he does is cause more mental health issues. This has by far been the most horrible experience for me. Accidentally OD and making that worse mistake of my life and then coming here and being treated like this has by far been the worst ever and I probably will have nightmares for the rest of my life because of this.

I was driven to the hospital around midnight after waking up with extreme abdominal pain and difficulty breathing. I was scared for my life. My wife and a following vehicle driven by my 75- year-old mother drove me to Pinnacle Emergency. They parked in the wrong spot somehow. An aggressive employee of the hospital began yelling at my wife and my mother. After it continued, I yelled back in my confused state along the lines of "Are you focused on patients or parking here?" My family left me to fix their parking errors and the hostile employee continued running his mouth at me as I tried to walk into the entrance. I wasnt friendly either from what I remember. The conversation continued as I tried to check in. So, we left and went to Holy Spirit hospital. Holy Spirit was nice to my family, told them where to park, and the fellow in the same position saw I needed help - and ran for a wheelchair. I got the help I needed. I will never again go to PinnacleHealth. All your equipment, doctors, and professionals are offset by having some attitude-driven bouncer-like guy yelling at old ladies and family members trying to help their loved ones. In terms of revenue, I am sure I met and exceeded my $2500 yearly deductible at Holy Spirit. I will never take a family member to this location. For me, whenever I think of PinnacleHealth, I will think "Parking is more important than Patient Care".

I will only comment on my experience visiting a gravely ill friend of ours in ICU last weekend. (I do not have enough information about why he got to ICU from another floor but it wasnt good.) As we entered the ICU and his room, we were shocked to see him brain dead with a breathing tube down his throat. As we sat and patiently waited for the family, the staff just mulled around laughing and talking with each other, despite all the signs on the walls that recommend QUIET which is supposed to positively impact patient outcome. One nurse was very happy to share her weekend shenanigans in Ocean City, MD, bragging "I could not have packed anymore fun into my vacation...". Really? Our dear friend is slipping away right in front of her but she just went on and on with our friends nurse about her traverses. Pretty callous. Plus a lot of other things. She should not be client-facing. Maybe the laundry room would be better. The date was Saturday, August 5th between the hours of 2 p.m. And 5 p.m. Description short with short brown hair. Bragging to a nurse named Bob.

My husband was transferred via ambulance from JC Blair hospital in Huntingdon Pa (after receiving 10+ days of extraordinary care) with Pancreatitis. I knew immediately upon entering this filthy hospital that I had made the worst decision ever. The employee morale is cleary low as we were greeted with nothing but scowls. (Except for the kind Security Guard lady that pointed me towards the coffee station as she could tell I was exhausted). Upon entering his room on 10 North, I could hear a nurse swearing loudly at the Nurses station. The check in carts were FILTHY, which is not a big deal unless they expect you to drink out of a medicine cup thats stored in them. Long story short, they discharged him less than 48 hours after ambulatory admission with pancreatic enzyme levels in the 800s. (Far above normal). From the Nurses to the Administrator, I have never dealt with such unprofessional, uncaring and nasty people in my entire life. I would not send my dog to this hospital. If I could rate them a zero, I would!! STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS HELL HOLE!!
