I have not received service nor product from this establishment, I was there for an interview for an Optician inquiry. I arrived professionally dressed in black slacks, a blouse & black flats. I had noticed that a few of the associates were wearing jeans & sandals, so when when the office manager asked if I had any question, I asked about the dress code. She stated "on days that the doctor is here it is business casual dress (slacks or slack capris with a shirt), on Fridays we have casual friday (jeans, jean capris with a shirt) so I then asked her if what I had on was appropriate. She said "all tattoos must be covered at all times" I commenced to show her that Ive got tattoos to my wrists and on my feet & told her that it may be an issue for me to have to wear a long sleeve shirt, socks & shoes everyday. Ive never felt more discriminated against, the remainder of the staff was allowed to wear t-shirts, capris & sandals because they dont have tattoos but I cant because I choose to pay to have ART that is meaningful to me to model on my person that is by no means offensive... she told me it had been in the dress code for over 20 years. Im sorry but thats not a dress code, thats discrimination on all levels. There were very few occasions that this woman actually made eye contact with me, she mainly just stared at my tattoos that she could see the whole time. My tattoos do not make me incapable, they make me feel more confident, theyre my form of expression, and a great conversation starter in very positive ways. My question is if I hadnt been there for a job inquiry & was actually there as a patient/customer would I have had the same discriminatory treatment as I did in my interview for employment?

My elderly mother is a patient of Dr. Johnson. She had been complaining about seeing double and so we made an appointment for a check up. The friendly office staff got us in quickly. My mother suffers from dementia and is hard of hearing as well. She had a difficult time understanding the eye exam, how to put her head in the correct position, and what answers Dr. Johnson was looking for.. Dr. Johnson was extremely patient with her, repeating and rephrasing the questions until he was able to get the information he needed for a new prescription. He was amazing! The new lens came quickly and they put them in her old frames (which were in good condition) so they saved us some money. The new prescription seems to be perfect. My mother was thrilled to see snow and rocks on the mountain peaks. Dr. Johnson and his staff provide great eye care!

I had a fantastic service experience here. I went to see a laser eye surgeon. They said I wasnt a candidate for lasik but wrote me a prescription for glasses. I came to riverton family eye center to get some glasses using that prescription. They ordered me 2 pair of glasses. I got them back and something wasnt right. I knew that either the lab screwed up the lenses or the prescription from the other dr. was wrong. They got me in the next day and analyzed the glasses. The lenses were correct. Then they took me back and did an eye exam and came up with a different prescription. Note that I just paid for the glasses, not for the exam. I asked what I owed him and he said no charge. In other words, he fixed another eye dr.s mistake and didnt charge me a dime. He also didnt say anything negative about the other dr. Class act and fantastic service.

Riverton Family Eye Care is the best family optometry clinic out there. Everyone that works at this clinic is knowledgeable, on top of things, and looking to help you get the eye care you need. Dr. Johnson is a wonderful optometrist and has helped my family with corrective lenses, lazy eyes, cornea problems, and more. RFEC is very honest with your care, your pricing, and your options. As with all clinics, make sure your insurance is compatible with your provider and with the clinic, but even if your eye insurance isnt great, the staff here will do their best to help you receive care. RFEC is wonderful and I wouldnt consider going anywhere else.

I recently went to Riverton Family Eye Care for a full exam and contact appt. To be honest, the reason I chose them was because I wanted to pay with my care credit card, which their office accepts. I wasnt greeted with an immediate or warm welcome by the receptionists....however, the Optometrist, Dr. Jodie Johnson was wonderful! He was very personable and thorough! He was also wonderful with interacting with my 2 children I had to bring with me! After my exam, the post exam receptionist was great! She gave me all the information needed to choose the right contacts and payment options. I would definitely recommend Dr. Johnson!!

My wife went to RFEC for her eye exam since her family had always gone there. Unfortunately, she did not remember to check providers on our insurance plan. The folks at RFEC took her insurance information, but conveniently (for them) failed to mention that they were out of network and charged her afterward for the exam which would normally be covered by insurance as preventive care. Yes, she should have checked, but I think it was devious of them not to say anything.

Dr. Johnson has been my doctor since I was in elementary school and is just fantastic! I took my 4 year old daughter to have her first check up and was impressed with how well he and the staff at Riverton Family Eye Care takes care of children to make them feel comfortable and welcome. He can make anyone laugh, have a good time, and is very gentle spoken. The staff in the office are so wonderful and nice! My daughter already wants to go back!

I went to see Dr. Johnson after I was injured in Jiu Jitsu. I was injured under my eyelid. Dr. Johnson was great!! He took the time to explain the injury and treatment for my eye. The office staff are super friendly and FANTASTIC!! They also have a great selection of glass Oakley, Switch and Ray-Bands. Hmmmm, I think I should get a new pair of Oakley’s. Guess I’ll be going back in…

Had an amazing experience! Super sweet and helpful staff. Dr. Johnson seems like a great family guy and was quick with a joke:) I was given multiple types of contacts to try out and even received a follow up call to be sure I loved them. Glad I finally found an eye doctor I love! Cant wait to see their new office soon!!!

I had emergency and call the doctor. He left his family at 9 oclock at night and came and took some matter out of my eye. Ive been his patient for six years I will probably never go to another I doctor other than him.

They took my glasses, and I miss them. Ive had them for a year, and I needed changes made. I cant wait to get them back. They are great to work with, fun office staff.
