Julie Van Schelt

I have seen Dr. Torghele for years. I have always loved my encounters with her and I have always felt like she is so thorough with the exam. I have never had any problems with their office, billing, appointments, etc. I have nothing but good to say about her, the medical office, her medical assistant, etc. Take it from someone who has seen her for years and REALLY knows this office and doctor. She is amazing, always remembers my kids and personal info. Very personable and intelligent. I would never go anywhere else.

Cheryl was pleasant enough. However, three things about my visit will insure I never return. Cheryl told me a lower price on contacts then billed me a higher amount. Her office then forgot to bill my insurance and billed me straight away, after fixing that, they included a new charge of $200 for being a new patient. Really? What kind of business does that? In the end, I will have payed more than twice the amount (with insurance) than if I would have gone to any number of eye clinics in town.

Dr. Torghele is a wonderful person but not a great doctor in my estimation. I cant even list all of the numerous mistakes made over a year period for two patients. She didnt provide good eye care. In fact she got in the way of getting good eye care. Her administrative team is very nice but also bumbling. In other words this wasnt just a one-time mistake or problem. I cannot recommend her in any way.

I would never recommend Dr. Torghele to anyone I know. She was friendly but did a contact fitting appointment without my knowledge and charged me for it. I dont think you should have to ask about every procedure they are doing and if you will be charged. I was miss led into believing it was part of the intitial eye exam. I will never return to their office or refer a friend.

Dr Torghele is the nicest doctor. We see her even though she is out of our network. I highly recommend her and her office.
