Our visit recently to Bedford Virginias Hospital ER, was extremely disappointing. My daughter had heart attack /stroke symptoms and just because she is "only 36 YO, the hospital nursing staff was more concerned that maybe drug use was the cause for her symptoms. My daughter does not nor has she ever taken illegal drugs, and rarely does she need OTC meds. IF they had asked about her family history, they would have learned that heart disease runs in our family. My suggestions to them are to TREAT EVERY PATIENT AS AN INDIVIDUAL AND TAKE NECESSARY STEPS TO TREAT SYMPTOMS ACCORDING TO PROPER TESTS REQUIRED (blood work wasnt even ordered by physician on call), AND TO NOT BASE THEIR OWN ASSUMPTIONS AS CAUSE OF SYMPTOMS!!! Her situation has YET to be REMEDIED!!!

I like Bedford hospital. I drive 30 miles just to come to this hospital. The wait has always been minimal. Drs, and nurses have always been polite. Unlike Lynchburg general. Where the wait is as long as a mini vacation. Great hospital!!

Sometimes you have to wait 45 min to see doctor then another 2 hrs to get discharged this is with blood work Without blood work its still about the same but you see doc in about 10-15 mins
