This place will ask for more tests and diagnostic tools than needed to OVERCHARGE customers. We have used them for years and I have seen it before with my previous dog. This time we took our doberman in with symptoms of salmon poisoning, told them about fish bones he had gotten into and still they misdiagnosed him with a fecal test and physical exam. Then they tell us he might have a blockage and needs x-rays and an ultrasound (which is not cheap!) Thankfully we had to go to Blue Pearl in Kent for the ultrasound.... where they quickly diagnosed him with salmon poisoning after a fecal test!!!! Then my dog needed immediate IV and round the clock care for 2 days to beat the salmon poisoning! VCA wasted time and over charged us for unnecessary things. My dog honestly could have died while they wasted time. Tried to be refunded for their misdiagnosis and they only refunded their fecal exam... poor customer service. I want the x-ray refunded.

We had our first visit with Dr. Walls this weekend and a 5 star rating is just not enough! Everyone was SO friendly and helpful. Our dog Roofus gets anxiety easily at new places and they brought him out all these treats to make him feel more comfortable and played with him and talked to him like he was a real human which I loved. You can definitely tell that they are not just saying things to get money from you or are being fake towards you. They genuinely care. A few days later we actually got a follow up call from Dr. Walls making sure Roofus was okay which I appreciate knowing that he is probably very busy with patients! We spent approximately 25-30 minutes there and our bill was beyond reasonable. The location is easy to get to as well with plenty of parking! It was very clean and organized inside with knowledgeable and cheerful staff!

Even though I went at the worst of times for my pet and I the staff was more than professional and helpful in my time of need. From the moment I walked in the door I felt more at ease with my choice of picking them. I came in to get my bearded dragon euthanized a painful and sad experience for anyone having to choose to put their pets down but, the staff at VCA went above and beyond the call to make the process as painless as possible. It’s the little things that really show a places true nature thankfully at VCA all the little things they did for me made the process enormously better. I would highly recommend VCA Covington Animal Hospital to anyone looking for a place that truly cares about you and your animal’s wellbeing.

Wonderful caring staff and service. We have seen Dr. Brazeau on several occasions and were extremely well cared for- she provided multiple updates during our cats dental procedure which was much appreciated and really helped put my mind at ease. She also saw us for a last minute late evening first-time visit when I was concerned about possible choking with my cat. Dr. Davis was also great with our difficult cat, she did a very comprehensive ortho exam on a cat that is less than agreeable when visiting the vet. Their prices are very fair and the service is excellent, we couldnt be happier to have found this clinic!

TL;DR - Cat weight dropping. Took cat to the VCA. Cat was diagnosed with a liver infection and put on antibiotics by Dr. Brazzo. Cats condition continued to deteriorate. I took cat to another vet for a second opinion. New vet was surprised VCA was unable to pull a diabetes diagnosis from their own blood panel. Cat put on insulin. Turn-around has been miraculous. No thanks to VCA staff vet. Cat wouldve died had I continued to trust VCAs diagnosis.

VCA staff and Dr. Walsh are wonderful. They have been incredibly helpful with my very old cats and new puppy. They set me at ease when my puppy ate something he should not have. We tend to see the vet only when our animals are very sick. The staff and doctors at amazing at setting me at ease. They also explain what they are doing, giving me costs BEFORE the service and discussed insurance options. Thank you Dr. Walsh and staff!

We have taken our little guinea pig, Spudly, to the clinic for checkups, nail clipping, pneumonia treatment, and most recently, dental surgery. Dr. Walls and Dr.Brazeau take such good cafe of our little piggje. These veterinarians are not only highly skilled but take time to explain and answer questions about our little pet. I really liked the vet that took care of my injured dog but the cost of basic services is on average $30 per service more expensive than other vets in the area with equally qualified vets. I also disliked that there was no warning for the excessively high bill. Most other vets will give you a quote before performing a procedure- this was not the case with VCA.

We had to put down our 15 year old and this AH came recommended from a friend who had recently put down their dog of 18+ years. They were very courteous and gentle with our dog and allowed us to take all the time we needed to say goodbye. We now have a new furry family member and plan to make this AH her permanent vet care facility.

Kind and competent veterinarians. The staff is considerate and helpful. I dont know if its just this clinic, but veterinary care is getting a little on the pricey side. Its rare for me to get out with the bill less than $150 for routine care for my dog. That aside, I have no complaints

We take 3 dogs and 2 cats to this location and trust them with our furry family. ALWAYS let me know the cost up front and provide excellent care. When we had an older cat pass away, we brought her here and they were very respectful and had empathy for our situation. We trust them.
