I have taken my dogs to this vet for 8 years and I have never had a problem, I have 3 dogs so I take them in at least once per year together for their annual wellness checkup and shots etc... I have one dog that gets ear infections so he gets to go to the vet more often. This last time was drastically different from the previous visits. I felt like I was at a used car dealer. I was bombarded with up sells by the new DVM Funk. I must have this; you must purchase a year supply of flea treatment. My dogs do not have fleas, nor have they ever had fleas nor did the vet check. You need to get your dog’s teeth cleaned their teeth are terrible. I just had them in to the dentist and all 3 of them cost less than their fee for 1 dog and the dental assistant raved about how healthy their teeth were. They all need lepo-puppy shots. Lepo puppy is Extremely Rare in Washington the state does not recommend a vaccine. More teenagers have contacted leptospirosis in Washington than dogs. Your dogs need a heart work regiment. Just a few days earlier I read an article in the Seattle Times that the State of Washington preformed 700 necropsies on coyotes in Washington in the last year, the most vulnerable animal in the state for heart worm and NOT ONE coyote had the disease. The State of Washington considers heart worm in domestic animals to be Extremely Rare in Washington. Then after I said no to all this I was presented with a menu of items that I previously said I did not want then I had to cross them off and sign the paperwork saying I was rejecting the shot or soap etc... That is the same baloney used car salesman pulled on me when I went to buy a car for my teenager at Bill Pierre Chevy. I would go to another vet. This one is obviously taking kickbacks from the flea treatment industry as well as others. Go to a vet that actually cares about your pet’s health not their wallet.

Horrible vet!! I never leave reviews but this needs to be shared! I was searching for an answer to why my boxer was acting weird and not herself. A friend recommended helping hands because he mentioned they would take payments. My concern that the amount of money I had spent at several vets already trying to find out what was wrong . I explained she had fallen over going to the bathroom ect.... This vet kept bringing students into the exam room expressing to me they were trying to teach them . They sedated her for an X-ray as well as started trying to tap on her spine will a loud device she clearly was suffering. After hours there they still could not tell me anything and we were ready to go home . They totaled the services to around $550 and told me unless I paid it all right now I couldnt have her. Wth! I explained my friend had told me they would take payments and they argued no they do not. I paid them every dime I had and they sued me for the balance! Turns out a week later vCa diagnosed her with a malignant brain tumor . I hate helping hands please do not take your pet there because they are a horrible vet and a waste of your money and time.

If I could give them minus 5 stars I would. I called because I was stuck in traffic, they said I could be seen if I got there by quarter of the hour. I got there then suddenly they are too busy. What were they doing as it was the time they should have been seeing me? Then they said we are just too booked to see you now because we have to fill out paperwork and that will take too much time. Really well why cant we do that after the doctor sees my pet? Oh and heres the kicker. Well we could see you as an emergency patient and the charge is $125.00 to start and it goes up from there. OH SO YOU CAN SEE ME FOR $200.00 BUT I THOUGHT YOU WERE TOO BOOKED UP! They are helping hands allright, help their hands to your wallet. They dont care about the animals, just the cash. FORGET THESE GUYS IF YOU LOVE YOUR ANIMAL. RUN, RUN FAR AND FAST.

Dr Guidry is wonderful. My first visit to Helping Hands Veterinary Clinic, I came with my elderly dog and a lab report her previous vet. Dr. Guidry sat down (on the floor) with my dog and I and went thru the lab work one by one explaining what each thing meant (something my previous vet never did). She was compassionate and took the time to make both my dog and I feel comfortable. A few year later when I had to to put her down, Dr. Guidy and her staff were amazing. Afterwards, they even sent my family a card signed by all the staff along with a laminated ink print of my dogs paw! More recently, I have a 5 yr old labordoodle that was injured. Dr. Guidy gave us both holistic and traditional options. She not only is a great vet, she seems to be a great person as well. I highly recommend this clinic!

HelpingHands Veterinary Clinic has the absolute best care available. I have taken my animals there for over 20 years. The veterinarians and entire staff provide care that is absolutely outstanding. The cost for care is more than reasonable and I always know I will be provided with the best advice. My animals mean the world to me and it is comforting to see they have such compassion for them as well. I regularly board one of my dogs and Im able to leave for work knowing he gets the same care as I would provide at home. If your looking for a loving caring place, look no further. Just read their mission statement upon arrival. It says it all! Thanks to the entire staff. Sincerely, Michelle Thomas

I have been taking my last four dogs there since Helping Hands opened many years ago. The clinic had a change of ownership a couple of years ago. Dr Cherie Guidry is the current owner and lead veterinarian. She purchased the clinic in August of 2012. I trust her instincts 110%. I recently lost my dog to a cancer, and Dr. Guidry told me her suspicions, but sent the test to a radiologist. He suspected something different. However as it turns out Dr. Guidry was correct. I would never go anywhere else. She will give you options both traditional and holistic or a combo of the two. She also doesnt push extra tests on you. :)

Dr Guidry is simply the best. I have sent numerous friends here and they would never go anywhere else. She combines the best of traditional and alternative treatments with fantastic results. I have two yorkies, one of whom is prone to allergies, pancreatitis, stones, he might have died elsewhere. Despite all this, because of Dr. Guidry, he lives a happy, active and normal life. Thank you so much for being you.

My pet dog needed a ultrasound done. Had tried for two days of hell tiring to get a facility that would not require an overnight stay. Right from the moment I told them of my pets needs they were very accommodating. I do not have enough words to describe Dr. Guidry. She was absolutely amazing. Would highly recommend her. She is in the practice for the right reasons. Wish they were more like her. God Bless.
