Just awful. Im in disbelief that I even just went through that horror. My dog is in heart failure and after several hours of watching his every move, I decided to drop in to see if they could see him and check his vitals. Ive never been to this vet before but it was Sunday and they were the only non-emergency vet open. There were several people hovering around the desk for various reasons yet no one in particular seemed as if they were being addressed. I wait for much longer than any grown woman holding a dog in her arms and sobbing should have to wait before I approach the counter and say "I need to see a vet." One would have thought Id personally attacked the mother of the woman behind the counter based on the rude tone behind her response of "why?". I was then told that they have back to back appointments and if I wanted to euthanize my pet right then, I wouldnt be able to go back into a room and be with him but I could just DROP HIM OFF and leave him there. {{crickets}} What the Hell did I just hear?!! Not only did I never mention euthanasia, I certainly wouldnt treat my dog like my damn dry cleaning if I had mentioned it. I, of course, MUST have heard them incorrectly because this isnt Bizarro World 2.0, after all. Well, based on the "sorry for the misunderstanding" portion of the conversation, it is confirmed that I did not hear them incorrectly. I dont know what kind of vortex I entered when I walked into that building that day but I will never be entering it again. Anyone with information as to what lead up to those events on July 2, please contact me. I have started a Facebook group called Bizarro World 2.0.

As a dog owner who seems to always have dogs with health issues, I can honestly say that Banfield of Renton and Dr. Emmanuel are truly wonderful!!! I have been a client for 3yrs now and not one visit goes by that I am not thankful that I chose them to take care of my Great Danes. I shake my head at the mere 2 negative reviews below, as those people seem to want sub par care and the cheapest costs. Well, owning a pet can be costly at times and before choosing Dr. Emmanuel, I did price checking between 4 other vets on standard things such a shots, blood work, xray series, common medicines, etc and Dr. Emmanuel was on point or cheaper than the others. It has been a tough 3 yrs with my Danes, but Dr. Emmanuel and his staff have always worked with me in deciding the best plan of action without over reacting and proceeding to do a bunch of testing. We often wait things out and try other, more affordable approaches first. As you can imagine, anything involving care for a Great Dane is pricey. As with my other Dane, she is not social and doesnt really like to leave the house. Dr. Emmanuel and his loving staff have won her heart over by taking the time to move slowly with her, spending time just loving on her, and working with me to get her comfortable. She no longer growls at them and lets them do the exam and even enjoys a few treats from the staff. I have never had a complaint toward this facility and the fantastic staff and I have actually referred numerous other clients there and they are all satisfied as well. WE LOVE THEM and couldnt ask for better care!!

We take both of our dogs to this hospital and love it! Our primary care provider is Dr. Welker, but we have also had amazing experiences with Dr. Jones and most recently Dr. Haynes. One of our pups has been really sick and not keeping everything down, but Dr. Haynes has nursed him back to himself and he is better than ever. The amount of effort everyone at this hospital gives is amazing. I receive a call after every appointment to check up on how my pups are doing after their appointments. I also highly recommend their Wellness plan. It is so nice just paying a small monthly fee to be sure that I can always take my pups into the vet without having to pay out of pocket for anything that is preventative and no office visit charges. Thank you to all the staff at the Renton Landing Banfield. Love, Miles and Geno

Dr. Emmanuel and his staff are simply amazing! They have taken great care of my Siberian Husky, Max, for the past 3+ years! The staff takes the time to thoroughly explain any procedures, tests and medications they recommend. Not sure why the other reviews are so negative regarding tests and medication costs; Ive always found them to be reasonable and necessary after speaking to Dr. Emmanuel. (And why would you risk your pets health by using untrustworthy sources for meds/cheaping out on medically necessary tests???) Dr. Emmanuel is especially friendly, detailed and knowledgeable... and he knows how to handle a skiddish dog with great care. Ive seen Max and other pets get spoiled with attention from the staff every time Ive been there. I drive all the way down from Seattle, and wouldnt go anywhere else!

Banfield is a ripoff. It cost me more to get my cat examined and treated for ear mites than it did to get him spayed at my old vet, even with the "free" office visit coupon. They also charged me $50 for medication that retails at $31 and can be purchased online for as little as $15. Did I mention that during the hour I was there the vet was in the exam room for less than five minutes? Dont take your pet here (or any other Banfield) unless you have money to throw away.

Wellness plan is a waste of money(Approx $500/yr). The vet told me it covered everything necessary for teeth cleaning and then I tried to call to schedule the teeth cleaning a month later and they told me I would need to pay for a blood test to be sent to an outside lab which cost a bunch more. Worst company ever. Wont be going back

This place is horrible. Dr Emmanuel and his staff care more about generating revenue then they do for your pets. Ive confirmed with others that this Banfield is known for creating many unnecessary tests and procedures. Do yourself a favor and find another Vet. They will be cheaper and care for both you and your pets well being.

I love going to the Banfield in Renton. Not only is the location great, but I trust Dr Emmanuel with the care of my dog and cat. Their wellness plans are great because I can get their teeth cleaned each year and they get their bloodwork checked twice a year so things can be caught early on.

So far so good with my experience here. Weve only done one appointment so far and that was fine but incomplete due to our cats crankiness. Hopefully next appointment will be better.

The staff is very nice and was very helpful with my dogs infection. They informed me well of when to give him medication and when not to give him medication. Thank you very much.
