They have billed my insurance company wrong several times now!! When I call to talk about the inaccuracies and incorrect line items and after being on hold for over 15 minutes, they say I have to talk to University of Arizona Medical Center billing and they transfer my call to billing. After being on hold for another 15 minutes, I listening to rude and unhelpful talk from a billing representative, I am told that they do not list the charges, line items, they do not know what the medical code stand for and I will have to talk to my doctor for an explanation of the charges. They then transfer me back to my doctors office (North Hills), after being on hold for another 15 minutes, the North Hill representative finally answers and tells me they have no answers for me and I have to talk to billing. They then transfer me again and I am put on hold!!! THIS GETS NOWHERE – THEY JUST KEEP PASSING THE BUCK!!! I have asked to talk to a supervisor or manager several times in the billing department, they always tell me a manager will call me back – NO MANAGER or SUPERVISOR ever calls me back!!!

I went to emergency on a Wednesday in the middle of the afternoon. Issues were immediate and serious. I was issued wristband, processed through the cashier [they were certainly concerned about being paid first]. After waiting over FOUR hours, I politely approached the the front desk. Gentleman said just wait a little longer, he thought I would be called next. After another half hour, I went back; same gentlemen said he could no longer find my name in his system! I told him I was leaving, and then he became confrontational about signing out - this even though he still couldnt find me in the system. Im no expert on emergency rooms, but this was the absolute worst I have encountered. If you are having health issues in Tucson, go anywhere else.

Despite really liking my doctor at this location, they are absolutely terrible at billing. I have never received so many bills. In addition, I ended up with a huge bill when I walked across the hall to get blood drawn. Turns out, they charge you for drawing blood as a hospital bill, so my insurance would not cover it. Of course, I only found this out after the fact. I suspect their billing practices contribute to patients paying more than they might elsewhere. Additionally, rather than being charged a co-pay upon arrival, I have received bills a month later. As stated above, their billing practices are terrible and are extremely inconsistent and inconvenient.

Receptionists "act" helpful and informative on the phone. I was promised an appointment with Dr. Wong, and had to fight to get in to see her back in August. They scheduled me for September. They lied to me and said I would be able to see her as a new patient, but then scheduled me with another doctor I SPECIFICALLY said not to because he is rude and acts superior. I was told whatever it took for them to get me off the phone. The staff here has no concern over patients needs. I would never recommend this place and I will not go back. I am disgusted with the dishonesty and the lies that were told to me.

Dreadful! My doctors keep leaving and there is not another one at this location or any other location that is accepting new patients. My doctor for some reason is on medical leave for 4 months. I have seen her precisely once in a year and now it will be18 months before I see her in August. Almost impossible to get prescription refills too. Banner is doing a perfectly lousy job of managing healthcare and the doctors and nurses. They are great but Banner is totally incompetent! My husband has had the same problem with his doctors leaving. Dont use Banner under and circumstances!

Extremely disappointing =( I was absolutely in LOVE with our pediatrician and this has been a difficult decision for our family . However, front desk and the billing coding department are the reason why were switching facilities. My children have never been sick in three years and when we needed them, they WERE NOT accommodating at all and were rude about it. Not to mention all the times my childrens wellness visits were canceled or all the billing errors....good riddance!

March 3, 2015: My doctor is leaving UMC North Hills. Both the letter I received and a phone call I just made indicate that NO doctor at this location is accepting new patients. I picked this location because it has a large number of doctors, with the expectation that if one left I could find another. Ive never heard of anything like this before. Banner must be cutting back in some way.

My husband and I have been dedicated patients of North Hills Clinic for five plus years. We recognize excellence, quality service and caring from our doctor, her medical assistant, triage staff and the patient check-in areas. Medicine has changed and our choice providers retain the best in a challenging profession. We are indebted to them. .

Terrible customer service. The ladies at the front made me feel awful. I was having a great morning until I came to this place. I would not recommend coming here.
