- I chose this facility based upon location. They are listed as my PCP (Primary Care Physician) therefore I use this facility solely. - POSTED OFFICE TIMES: M-F 9am - 6pm. The catch? The doctor or PA (typically a PA; Ive only seen a doctor once) does not arrive until 9:30am. In addition, they will only see you before 6pm if you arrive before 5:30pm, regardless of whether they have patients in the back rooms being treated. - MAKE AN APPOINTMENT (Joke): I was informed (after several visits) that I could actually make appointments at this facility. I understand that an appointment wait time is still anticipated, however, when I questioned how they handled their appointments, I was told, "that means that youll be seen before the people who come in after you". No, you didnt read that wrong; it actually doesnt make sense. I asked how that differed from a walk-in appointment. There was not a response. Shouldnt this be treated as a priority seating? Shouldnt that mean that you receive priority over those who are walk-ins prior to you? You made an appointment. The only reason I questioned how they handled their appointments was because Id fallen for this buffoonery twice before. - FOLLOW UP / RETURN CALLS: I went for an appointment regarding a now-chronic-cough that hadnt cleared up after several rounds of anti-biotics over the course of about three months. On my last visit, I was given a dose of steroids, which really seemed to help, and a CT scan of my chest was ordered. (I must say that Kim Bouldry assisted me this day and was fantastic! --- Id seen her before, and she was equally caring and charismatic that time also - great consistency). Unfortunately, this is where the story turns south. I contacted the CT scan facility to schedule my appointment. The day before I was scheduled to go, they stated that they had contacted the Medical Center for authorization. They received no response. I called to follow up with the office. I left my phone number for a return phone call. After 4 hours and still no word, I called back the office. This time I was told that the order / request had been sent. I rescheduled my appointment to the following week. Four days before Im scheduled to arrive, Im told that the insurance has declined the request. Upon asking for more information, I was told I should contact my Dr.s office. I called around 12:30pm, left a message with the receptionist, who stated she was going to leave it for the nurse. After the four hour wait I encountered last time, I asked when I should follow up. She stated "well, the work does have quiet a load today". Needless to say, the appointment has now been scheduled for a third time, and as I write this, Im still awaiting word from the office on the denied status and what steps are next. - CLEANLINESS: For a health care facilities, their restrooms are abhorrent. One numerous occasions it has not been stocked with hand towels, soap, and once, toilet paper. In addition, for a place which invites sick people, one might think theyd have tissues available, or at the very least, hand sanitation. - INEFFICIENCIES: It might be a speedier, more stream-lined approach, to look at a patients file before asking repeat questions. All my allergies are listed on the paperwork from previous visits, however, each time I go, these questions are repeated. This might be part of their process, so my apologies if Im speaking out of turn. However, it might be a better approach to just verify the allergies. .... meanwhile, I hope I dont die waiting for services. I just wanted to share my experiences.

Stay away from this clinic!! The receptionist Amanda is very rude, disrespectful, lazy and does absolutely nothing. The receptionist Amanda was too lazy to look in my wifes file to find a pre-authorization form faxed by the pharmisist to get the doctor to call the insurance company. She said she could not find it when my wife pointed it out in the file. When my wife demanded that she do her job and questioned what she is doing in this clinic, she told my wife that she is rude and nasty and would no longer help my wife and walked away. I personally have been waiting for the doctor to do a pre- authorization for 4 weeks to get my desperately needed prescription approved but nothing has been done. I have called several times and the Walgreens pharmisist has faxed the clinic several times with no action by them. I am sure Amanda was too lazy to give the information to the doctor for approval. Another time my wife was at Quest Diagnostics to get blood work done and Quest called the clinic to get clarification on what tests needed to be done since the doctors writing was not legible on one of the tests but the receptionist Amanda was too lazy to ask the doctor for clarification. So my wife had to go back and have blood drawn again because the receptionist was too lazy to get off her but and ask the doctor to clarify things for the laboratory. Another time she refused service to my sick daughter until her outstanding bill was paid. I offered to pay our normal cash payment of $60.00 but she refused to take it and demanded the higher $150.00 insurance payment since the bill went to the insurance billing department. I refused to pay the higher amount since we always in the past paid $60.00 and she refused my daughter to see the doctor. I later called the insurance billing department and the man gladly accepted my $60.00 payment. Its amazing how one person can bring down a whole clinic and how is it possible that she still works there. Where is the manager or director for this very poorly run clinic. Until Amanda is fired and replaced by someone who understands what good customer service is, I recommend everyone stay away from this clinic.

Pros: Location, walk-in ability, electronic prescriptions and authorizations. PA Kimberly who is efficient, kind, and thorough. Cons: They lie about hours and apparently having a working phone/voicemail system is unimportant to them. Just NOW at 1:30 on Saturday, despite everywhere it saying they are open until 3 ,I tried calling to get medication that I need now because what was prescribed wasnt sufficient. When no one answered and I was (for the gazillionth time) faced with a voicemail system that the receptionist told me doesnt work, I used the number the owner gave in one of these review responses above. Supposedly that is the corporate office/owner. They answered. They tried to call and seemed genuinely shocked no one answered. Did they ask my name and what I needed? Did they say "we can call you in that antibiotic refill so you dont have to get worse all weekend,"? No. In fact when I asked if there really was nothing I could do until Monday, the woman said "Yeah, sorry." Somehow that wasnt the help I was hoping for. The sad fact is this is one of the few places that take my SSI Disability Medicaid. my fault I suppose, for getting my self disabled.

I have gone to this medical center several times over the last 2 years (2012-2014) and have found the female Nurse Practitioner to be very good. She has excellent "bed-side" manners and has prescribed for me just what I needed to get well each time, with no follow up visits needed. Each time Ive gone Ive either gone just before they open or after 4pm, and the wait time has been comparably short when I consider the 2-4 hours wait time at other clinics in the Kissimmee/Orlando areas that are packed with tourists. I dont think the receptionist or the nurse that takes your blood pressure are the most personable people; however, Ive found theyre just as good as most in their positions in other doctors offices Ive been to in the past 10 years. Its a shame, you would think being they are the two first people you meet when going into any doctors office, you would think theyd train them to have more pleasant dispositions towards patients to make a better first impression for their practice, but as I said I find that in most doctors offices and not just this clinic. I recommend the Nurse practitioner at Legends Family Medical Center. Im just sorry I cant remember her name.
