Worst experience I have ever had at a vet!!! 1. No parking, had 2 park 2 people in 2. Sat there for over 20 mins past my appt. I had to ask when I would be seen to get anyone to acknowledge I was waiting. Waiting room was packed with people waiting to be seen. The lady then tells me she did not know there was an emergency (which is fine by the way, I understand. But maybe someone should call all the people with appts to ask them to reschedule and NOT make them sit in the waiting room for hours!!!) I have a puppy and he was all over the place. I was not seen for another hour. By the way, when I asked when I would be seen, the lady told me I had the wrong time. No I did not, we confirmed twice earlier in the week! 3. Staff is way rude. 6 people and no one would help me. Then when I did get help they argued with me about what shots I should give my puppy. 4. When booking the appt, the lady tells us only one person can be on the record and we could not add my info to it. )The person booking the appt on the phone was rude and complained about how they just added new appts to the schedule. To a new client!!) When I get there I am asked why I am not on the record... 5. When I do finally get to see the vet, the room smells heavily of poop. 6. While in the exam room, staff were constantly running through the room. Like I said, I have a puppy and he gets distracted. I have never experienced staff use an exam room for a cut through while an appt was going on. Plus they kept leaving the door open so we could hear the waiting room, making my dog more anxious. 7. I said I did not want a fecal exam and the vet and tech both looked at each and rolled their eyes... seriously! 8. The vet tech held my puppy down on the table and preceded to tell me if was a german shears thing, they dont like messed with. The last vet had NO PROBLEM with him whatsoever. Literally holding down my 5 month old puppy. I told her not to and to let me calm him down and she said no. Clearly my dog hated them, it was obvious he was upset. The exam lasted 3 minutes and they left leaving me in the room not knowing if we were done. Plus I didnt even get to ask the questions I wanted to ask. 9. When I said I did not want Trifexis because I heard to many people say it killed their dog, the vet tech replies with "those are all lies". I had to refuse multiple times to get my point across. WOW! 10. When I go to pay that is another 15 minutes. I give the lady my card and she hands me my stuff without the flea treatment I asked for. Her response, "It wasnt on the paper, the vet didnt write it down" (It was on the paper, say it with my own two eyes). Credit card swipe #2 with the added comment no I do not want Trifexis. Best part, I told the vet all of this and she responded with "well, we do our best". NEVER GOING BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My family has been going here for 18 years and some of the techs have seen me grow up. The place is very tiny and in need of a serious makeover. As others mentioned, the parking is horrible so I always park behind Walgreens when I go. Regardless of whether you have an appointment or not, youll be waiting hours. Ive called two hours in advance before because my dog needed Trifexis. Got there and waited over 30 minutes just to buy it. Some of the techs are nice while others, not so much. The price is good and so is the care that they provide to your pets. However, if you take your pet in for any reason outside of annual shots and theres something wrong with them that they can perceive you as causing, the vets will be extremely nasty to you. I took my dog in about a month ago because she hurt her leg while we were playing and was limping. I have my dog on weightloss food and give her as much exercise as I can, but shes unfortunately not living with me at the moment and my grandma is constantly giving her treats. The first thing that was said to me when I walked in the room was that my dog needed to lose 15-20lbs and when I tried to explain and defend myself, I was shushed and received nothing but a nasty attitude. I was then told that my dog may need surgery if she doesnt lose the weight and was quoted as it being $6K. In another instance, my grandma brought in a stray cat that we thought was ours that had been attacked by something and was missing an eye and etc. The male vet tore into my grandma as well even though she told him that it wasnt our cat. We brought it home and buried it and found my cat sleeping on the neighbours shed. They have been excellent in some situations where I had to put my pets down. My last dog had cancer and we had no idea until the day we had to put him down. I was a mess and they did the euthanasia and cremation for free. Given my last experience we wont be back. This isnt the place for you if you want to be seen within an hour of your appointment and dont want people running through your exam room. However, if you dont mind the aesthetics and wait time and also dont have any issues with your pet other than needing their annuals, this place is great!

GET RID OF DR. GAIL NICHOLS Dr. Gail Anne Nichols, 66, and Paul Craig Smith, 74, are charged with three counts felony animal cruelty, one count misdemeanor animal cruelty, and five counts confinement of animals without sufficient food, water, or shelter. The investigation began after PCSO received a tip about animals not being properly cared for at the home. Dr. Nichols told deputies that she practices veterinary medicine part-time at Gulfport Veterinary Clinic, in Gulfport, and Animal Emergency of Pasco, in Port Richey. The animals found at her home are personally owned by her and are not affiliated with a veterinary practice. Deputies said five of the eight dogs were living in cages inside the main home without access to water. The home emitted a very strong odor of ammonia, deputies said, was infested with rats, and had clutter piled to the ceiling with small pathways for walking. The home was without air conditioning and uninhabitable for humans, deputies said. Nichols and Smith were living in separate travel trailers on the property. One emaciated dog was loose and could access the house and back yard. The other two dogs were inside Smiths trailer. Three of the dogs were suffering from severe flea infestation and red inflamed skin, with one being 10-15 lbs underweight and another suffering from three untreated mammary tumors on her breast. Two McCaw type parrots were found inside the front porch in filthy cages and were missing feather on their chest. Deputies said 18 miniature horses were confined to a dirt pasture with access to hay. The other ten miniature horses had no access to hay or grass. Two full-sized horses were also in confined to a dirt pasture with no access to hay or grass. All of the horses did have access to water, deputies noted. Three of the horses were found to have hooves that were severely overgrown to the point they were spiraled upwards causing the horses lameness.
