This place is all about your money - everything else comes way down the list. The hygienist I had was just terrible! Since I was new to the area, I picked RA Dental Studio in October 2016 because it was very close to my house. While it is customary for first visits to last long, mine took 2 and half hours - much of it was in waiting for services although I have no big issues with my teeth. On my first visit, I walked-in about 10 minutes before my appointment, got the usual paperwork and filled it out. Then waited for 40 minutes before they called my name! The office manager, who was very pleasant, took me on a tour of the practice which was very clean and nice; then I was seated. The hygienist came over and started taking x-ray pictures. Although my reflexes are not triggered that easily, I almost vomited twice because she would push the covered plastic x-ray arm deep in my mouth! I teared and signaled to her the issue. She did not really acknowledge it! Then she started probing my gums, driving an unusual amount of blood to come out (my teeth do not normally do that; I have been regularly getting my teeth cleaned for the last 22 years!). Then came the cleaning - she did a mediocre job but unlike any other hygienists I had, she irritated so many of my sensitive teeth despite the fact I told her which ones would hurt. She was scraping with the dental pick so close to the gum at edge of my recessed teeth! This was a horrible experience. I jerked at least three times and she kept going! Also... often times, the water splashed on my face but she did not wipe it nor allowed me enough time to wipe it. Just very sloppy! Then She left me twice for 15 minutes each time. Once she said was about some administrative paperwork. The second time was after Dr. Roya Akbar came and said my teeth show marks of grinding and I need a custom-made overnight brace (wrong diagnosis - contrary to my previous doctors and my current ones opinion. Also my wife said I never grind my teeth at night. But this brace thing might be a good way to pull hundreds of dollars from a customer). I normally do not do reviews, but I had to tell you guys about this one. All-in-all, It was the worst experience I have ever had at a dentist. Thank you.

"Meh. Ive experienced better" sums up my experience at this dentists office. Everything is incredibly over priced and the person at the front desk is impersonal and highly unprofessional. This definitely does not have the cozy, get to know us feel that other dental practices have. They also pride themselves on being a family dental practice, yet they have absolutely no fun activities for the kids and their TV was on an inappropriate talk show when my kids were in the waiting room. The last straw was a few days ago. I called for a transfer of records and they told me to come in the next day at 7 am to sign a form. I got there exactly at 7 and had to wait for 15 minutes until the lady at the front desk showed up. 15 min may not seem like a lot but when you have to drive your kids to school and get to work, every minute counts. I then had to wait until she turned on her computer and had the form faxed to her from another location. No apology. Most practices believe in customer satisfaction. However, this practice has that sort of arrogant feel to it. They basically make the patient feel that there are tons of others and they could care less if they kept your business or not. I really havent seen anything quite like it. Its unfortunate because the dentist seems good at what she does; but she needs to reconsider some of her staff and the priorities of the practice.

Extreme professionalism! This is the first review I write about anyone. This was my first visit to this practice for a dental cleaning and I absolutely LOVED the experience since I walked in the door until I left. I had the pleasure in meeting Jessica, front desk as well as Drs assistant, who showed me around the office (havent met an office that gives you a tour, but it made me feel welcomed) then she took my x-rays and pictures of each tooth. After that I alsohad the pleasure in meeting Dr. Nemat who explained everything that he was going to do and even the x rays/pictures that were taken of my teeth. He was very gental and had a good since of humor. I felt that his main goal was to keep you as comfortable as possible and to get the job done right with the least possible pain. Not a lot of people like going to the dentist but this is one you HAVE to try. I have told my friends and co-workers about how awesome this place is. TRUST ME you wont regret it. (Went to the Alpharetta location, right above Taco Mac, corner of Windward and N Main St)

I met Dr. Nemat at a business meeting discussing new opportunities for dental technologies, as I currently work for a dental manufacturer. At that time I had just returned from CA and needed a new local dentist. On my first visit, Dr. Nemat and his associate, Jessica, were both very welcoming and informative. Jessica prepped me for my exam, explaining everything as she went with a very professional, but personable, attitude. Dr. Nemat was great! He did my exam and explained things every step of the way. We examined my x-rays and intra-oral images and he pointed out any and all areas that might need further attention. He then continued with my cleaning, doing a stellar job. Its been awhile since I have been to a dentist as personable and knowledgeable as Dr. Nemat. I would recommend him to anyone needing a new dental practitioner.

I found Dental Studio on line after going to another dentist which I was not satisfied with, I found Dr. Nemat best dentist I ever had this place is so professional, from time I walked into the office greeted by Jessica, then a tour of the office something I have never gotten in any doctors office and at the end of my visit I got a gift bag. The price omg!! great and affordable!! I never thought that I would enjoy going to a dentist office, on top of that Dr. Nemat calls you to make sure you are ok ... who does that these days!! Dr. Nemat does.. Love, Love this place.. Oh and one more thing I send my husband who is not easy to impress and he was very impressed with the quality of service that this is now his dentist as well.

Last year Dr. Akbar was referred by a good friend after hearing some of the issues I was having with a second go-around of dental implant surgery. I thank my friend about every two weeks for the referral. On a professional level, I find Dr. Akbar to be very knowledgeable and skillful in the field of dentistry. On a personal level, Dr. Akbar is warm and friendly with an ability to make a patient feel relaxed during her procedures. Oh yes, and she has a great sense of humor. Her staff is equally warm and friendly. They all went out of their way, including scheduling visits,to accommodate me. I guess the biggest plus I see in my relationship with Dr. Akbar and her staff is that Ive added new friends.
