I started going to Dr. Sackman when I got my Labrador puppy in 2008. From the start, my dog had awful allergies and would break out in hives and hot spots often. Dr. Sackman is our hero! She saved my dogs life on several occasions, squeezing us in when a random reaction would occur, or on a day that she was booked, offering to let me bring my dog in so she could look at her in between appointments. Dr. Sackman IS the only veterinarian at this clinic, so if she is booked she will try her hardest to fit in a sick animal if she is able to. I now have two cats that I rescued and Dr. Sackman has helped me get both of them back into a healthy condition from when I got them. The clinic is very family-like. The techs and Doctor know their clients, are highly informative, and are extremely caring. I recommend this clinic and doctor to anyone that wants thorough, quality, pet care. You cannot expect a doctor, who knows nothing about your pet (size, weight, health condition, etc) to give you an estimate for a surgery over the phone. There are things that come into play when giving an estimate, in which the animal needs to be seen first. It would not be an honest estimate without knowing the condition of your pet.

I went to look for Dr. Sackmans office number and happened to see the low ratings for her and had to stop to review her. I do not work for Dr. Sackman. Nor am I friends with her or a relative. She simpy is our vet. I/we have had four dogs and four cats for many years, so needless to say weve seen her for various things over the course of 12 years. Ive never found her to be anything but caring, attentive and down to earth. If she cant get you "in", many times they will offer for you to drop the animal off and Dr. Sackman will examine them in between surgeries or appointments and call you with what shes found. She never "does" anything without calling you first, sensitive to cost factors for most people. She always gives us the facts and options and lets us decide. Never is pushy or judgmental about what you should or shouldnt do for your animal. Her staff is always considerate and compassionate. I just wanted to post another side to the story.

My family has had all of our animals (over 7) treated at Sackman Animal Hospital since their opening in 2000. We are customers and not related to Dr. Sackman and are very satisfied with her as our veterinarian. Dr. Sackman is a very competent veterinarian and treats every one of our animals as if they were her own. For those reviewers who say she is "always on vacation or absent," my family has never had any problem scheduling appointments that work with our schedule. Dr. Sackman has helped our animals through allergies, spaying/neutering, as well as common injuries and life-saving surgeries. She is tactful and caring especially when it came time to have to put two of our animals down. She takes her time and always explains what she has found in laymans terms so you always can understand the diagnosis and options. Her staff is efficient and helpful, and her office is always clean and tidy. Dr. Sackman is attentive, caring and very good at her job.

FIRST I WANT TO POINT OUT THE ONLY GOOD REVIEW IS FROM AN EMPLOYEE AT SACKMANS!!! I find it funny that a previous customer said she was always on vacation. I always had trouble getting my pets into her office because she was ALWAYS on a trip. She is almost barely there. She is an incompetent vet. She did not have something so simple as a blood pressure cuff?! As a result I lost my pet because she was not able to do her job. I am writing this not to bash her, but to warn people of her misdiagnosis to both of my animals. I am now dealing with my other sick animals condition because she did not do proper testing on him as well. She is also more pricey than vets around the area if you are curious about pricing. Please protect your animals.

We have used Sackman for many years and highly recommend her and her staff. She has taken care of many of my dogs and I have always experienced nothing but professional care. Dr. Sackman always returns calls and if she is busy she is sure to have one of her staff return the call. She always fits in a sick dog and goes out of her way to do so. We love her new location and office... beautiful!

There are several animal hospitals in the area and I have 2 cats that need to have an operation done. I called Sackman Animal Hospital to see what itd cost to have my pets cared for. The response I received is "Its the Doctors policy not to give out prices". Maybe this place is decent but how am I to know. Its silly to bring in a pet for care without knowing if you can afford it or not.

i would like to give them zero stars !! we called with a sick animal and were told that the doctor is double booked and going on vacation...we luckily found someone to look at our pet...that had to be carried in on a blanket and put on an iv. he stayed the night and is now doing better. thank god they helped my sons best friend....shame on you sackman, true animal lovers?

LOVE Sackmans Animal Hosiptal and the staff! They are always willing to get my pup in and when we arrive my 2 boys and I are treated like family. At previous vet offices he always would coward in the corner at any appointment, Not here! I couldnt ask for a better experience and better group of staff. I highly recommend them to everyone! Look no further!

Doc is always "out of the office" or "busy" hard to get an appt which worries me for if my pet gets really sick and wait time takes forever. She does love animals, that is clear, but it takes more than love sometimes to be a good vet/Dr.

Dr. Sackman is wonderful. I dont understand all the 1 stars people give out because she is booked and they havent even gone to her. Her love of animals is obvious when you see her with your pet and she is very thorough.

Appointment only but they took in my dog on my first visit. Dr. Sackman is great. Diagnosed the problem correctly and Rudy is doing great.
