My review got deleted on YELP and Facebook. Makes me more angry that I am unable to voice my concerns about this animal hospital. My husband and I just set up an appointment with this hospital for our dogs yearly rabies shot. I went to bring him in on Saturday for his 9:30am appointment, and upon arriving I was informed that there was no vet on staff. I was extremely frustrated because apparently they had tried calling my husbands phone (who was not with me) 4 minutes before 9:30am. They offered to reschedule however, I work all week long, so my Saturday was filled with appointments that I had to be at. They were apologetic but didnt offer anything at the time. I just think its extremely unprofessional that they open at 9am and waited until minutes before my appointment to tell me that they have no idea where the vet is. Maybe this is something that should have done 30 minutes ago. You cant assume that your client hasnt left yet. I drove all the way out there for nothing. My husband called after I had left. They eventually did offer a $15 grooming gift certificate to him, but I am annoyed at the fact that we werent taking our dog to get groomed so why would we be interested in that? Since our old vet is booked this week, my husband will be taking our dog back to this vet on Wednesday and I am hoping they will address this issue as this is our first time at this place. Its really unfortunate that we had a bad experience seeing that this vet came highly recommended from a friend and family member. I get things happen, but how this was handled was extremely ridiculous. Also, I addressed this issue on several different review sites. They chose not to acknowledge it and delete it instead so nobody will know it ever happened. My husband works in the hospitality industry and reviews are something they look upon to see what they are doing well and how they need to improve. They address every unhappy customer. We dont plan on using them ever again after Wednesday.

Dr. Caffarini and his staff were amazing to us. We started out by coming in for our brand new kittens, and ended up bringing our great dane over to see him. Weve never looked back. Dr. Caffarini took great care of my dog, every single time. Yes, we had some long waits. But heres how I feel: I loved how Dr. C always made us feel like he was in no hurry, that he was available for every question, concern, or worry we had, and applying logic... the wait times are because he does that for everyone. IMO, its worth it. Dr. Caffarini got us an extra year with our dog after he bloated, and the subsequent setbacks. Every minute we waited was worth it for the level of care we got. The staff were always kind to us, helpful, and when the end came for my sweet boy, they were so supportive and genuinely grieved at our loss. I could not recommend this office strong enough. I have supreme confidence in Dr. C and his staff. My dog got the best care he could get. At the end of the day, thats all that matters to me.

I went here because my veterinarian of many yrs, Dr Joe DeMoor is now practicing here. I have heard wonderful things about Dr. Caffarini for yrs thru friends. And it was a pleasure meeting him as well. From my 1st call, I was greeted warmly by Janice. I had a great experience here. Im so pleased Dr. DeMoor is now practicing at Lockport Animal Hospital. All the staff is wonderful, caring & compassionate. I highly recommend them. I felt like family from the minute I walked in the door. And I am very choosy over my pets Healthcare providers!! If your looking for Dr. DeMoor & an amazing staff, look no further! Im happy to know if Dr DeMoor isnt available, I have total confidence in Dr. Caffarini!!

LAH was recommended to me by a fellow dog rescue volunteer, and as long as Dr. Joe and Janice are there, I will never go to another vet. My dogs are my babies, and I wholeheartedly trust their health to LAH. Even their groomer is incredible - one of my dogs is a puppy mill survivor with aggression issues, and LAH is the only place that can groom him without sedation. I believe that all the staff there truly loves animals, even my animals who can sometimes be hard to handle!

Dr. C. and his staff has seen us through the lives of 5 pets. They were there through the puppy years to the final days. I always felt secure having them treat our fuzzy friends and to be honest when it was time to say good-bye. Currently we have 2 rescue dogs - Chica and Bosley - and they are happy to go to the vet. Chica - a 82# mutt - loves EVERYONE at the vets. That is the best recommendation you need.

DOCTOR JOE THE VETERINARIAN IS EXCELLENT WITH MY SAMANTHA ROSE (AKA SAMI)! DR. JOE IS WORKING TO HELP ME GET MY 4LB SAMI IN EXCELLENT CONDITION. I PAID LOTS OF MONEY TO PURCHASE THIS PEDIGREE FROM A PRIVATE BEEDER AND SHE WAS SOLD TO ME SICK AND THEY WINDAIR TOY POODLES KNEW THIS!!!! THE VET TECHS ARE ALSO EXCELLENT IN THE KNOWLEDGE THEY ARE ABLE TO PASS ON TO ME!

Dr. Joe took care of my German Shepherd Dog, Lukie, for his entire life. I believe Lukie lived 15 years because of Docs excellent care. Lukie and I were always treated with compassion, and extreme competence. I thought so highly of Lockport Animal Hospital, that when I moved to the North side of Chicago, I still came to Dr. Joe.
