I will give credit where its due and the staff at Odenton Station Dental was very good during my four visits. Unfortunately, their inability to admit a mistake or even attempt an apology is what leads to the two star review. I was told that I needed to have a procedure performed. I was told that my insurance covered a specific amount of the procedure and was given a quote for the remainder. After paying the uncovered portion I received a bill in the mail for an additional $330+. I called OSD and they said they submitted twice to my insurance company, United Concordia, and both times the claims were denied. When I called United Concordia they politely explained that while the procedure is covered there are certain materials that, if used, are not covered. The representative at United Concordia specifically stated that normally dentist offices are aware of these types of specifics. Im more than willing to take some responsibility because it is my insurance and its a lesson learned. However, when Im told by my dentist that a procedure is covered I should be able to trust them. Instead, when I called OSD back and explained what I was told by United Concordia, I received no apology or any kind of acceptance of responsibility for their part. The response I received was "thats why its called a quote". I know what a quote is, but the quote was for a procedure that I was led to believe was partially covered. When I attempted to ask to speak to a manager or supervisor I was cutoff mid sentence and told there was nothing they could do. The money was not the issue. it was their arrogance and refusal to admit they were wrong. I could easily afford to pay the bill and did pay it on the spot. Again, because I do accept responsibility on my end I would have been greatly appreciative of them simply offering to meet me halfway. Although, everyone Ive explained the situation to says I shouldnt have had to pay anything. Instead, for just over $330, they have lost the future business of a family of four. I cannot send my wife and kids to a dentist who cannot be trusted. If you use this dentist be sure to call your insurance company before you agree to any procedure they claim you are covered for.

Lauren, one of the hygienists, was amazing. She was kind, and took the time to explain to me not only the procedures, the plan for my teeth but the rationale behind it all. She was patient with all of my questions, and compassionate with my anxiety overall. In addition to her bedside manner, her skill as a hygienist was apparent - she was careful but diligent in the deep cleaning. I am still surprised at what a great experience it was at the dentist and it is really all a credit to Lauren. And, it is because of Laurens skill, attention to detail and concern for my many questions, that I take pride in my oral health care. I hope I dont let her down. This is the relationship everyone should have with their hygienist! I also had benefits questions and Jordan demonstrated her expertise. She advised me on how to plan out the work on my teeth to get the biggest bang out of my current insurance. Additionally, I was in open-season for my dental benefits and she advised me on a better plan that would help me cover more of the work on my teeth in the next year. She was fantastic! I cannot speak highly enough of Odenton Station Dental. Thank you!

Terrible experiences. The staff are fine. The dental work is fine. But I went here for years and they told me time and time again that the accepted my insurance, but I kept getting massive bills. Turns out that they are not accepted by my insurance, and were charging me the (almost) full cost. For example, my insurance would only cover 50-100 dollars out of a 2000 dollar crown. Finally realized I was being taken advantage of after at least 6 procedures. Sent multiple e-mails asking for explanation, never received a response. Terrible customer service on their part. Told them I wasnt going to come back ever again and no one even apologized for the crap they pulled. I hope this business fails. Their current business model is taking advantage of people and claiming to take their insurance. For comparison, Chesapeake Smiles, down the street, ACTUALLY accepts my insurance, so I only had to pay $100 out of pocket for a crown, not over $1000. AND, their quotes for dental work without insurance are about HALF of what OSD charges. OSD rips people off. OSD doesnt bother to explain themselves when called out.

I brought my 5 year old here in august of 2016 to get cavities filled and sealant put on a few teeth. I ended up going back to his original dentist which is arundel pediatric dentistry because I just did not like odenton station dental. He had an appt with arundel pediatric dentistry today and they tell me the sealant that was put on his teeth have come off, which it isnt supposed to. so over all my experience at odenton station was not pleasant at all. I will never bring my kids here and I suggest no one else do either. Arundel pediatric dentistry is THE BEST ive ever been to and they do a fantastic job every time!

Very professional staff. Clean and relaxing environment. My kids love coming here because they get a toy prize out of the gum ball machine (they provide the quarter) at the end of their visit. This place is easy to miss because its surrounded by the apartment building, but it blends right in and you wont regret finding it. The best part is, after you finish getting your teeth clean you can walk a few doors down and grab a cup of coffee before strolling across the street to get your nails done. Then you can jet back over to eat lunch at Ruths Chris.

Dont trust your teeth to them! They are very friendly and seem to be wonderful people, so much so that I feel bad writing this. Ive had three of the fillings they did fall out. One of them fell out twice. And, I was eating normal things like chocolate and an apple. To make matters worse, they did my first root canal. A few months later, that tooth hurts more than before they did it. And now Im wondering if I even needed it in the first place. Just go somewhere else, dental work isnt something that you can afford to have messed up.

The staff was professional, but thats only worth one star. My daughters tooth hurt more after the filling, unfortunately she fell ill before her appointment. I called 24 hrs prior and unfortunately their only concern was that I didnt call 48 hrs in advance. I was sent a bill for 116 dollars for a late cancellation. When I called the person that answered only seemed concerned about getting my credit card number instead of me cancelling my next appointment and going elsewhere.

Staff is extremely friendly but thats it. I had 2 cavities done and 6 months later during a cleaning was told they were done wrong. Had the 2 redone plus a 3rd. Went back 3 weeks later and all 3 cavities were redone AGAIN! Still had pain and went to another dentist. All 3 had to be redone and Im finally pain free. Ridiculous that after 3 attempts they couldnt fix a few cavities. My insurance company and I should both be refunded the money that was spent for these hack jobs.
