I absolutely love my PCP Dr.Tracy Jansen. The office policies however may very well make me seek healthcare elsewhere. I have BlueChoice insurance and have to pay a co-pay if I have my labwork done anywhere but LabCorp. Every time I need labwork done, I have to put up with an attitude from the staff and I have to personally come in to pick up the lab slip. Recently I picked up a lab slip for a pre-op. Had the blood drawn and was informed that the lab order was misplaced and was asked to have a copy faxed to LabCorp. I called the office and was told that LabCorp had to call to have it faxed. LabCorp called and was told that they absolutely would not fax it on their say so that the patient had to call. I was standing there and identified myself and was told that they would not fax even after I explained the situation. I then asked for the office manager. She told me that I would have to come in and pick the order up in person. Nothing like "great" customer service is all I can say. You have a sick patient and you as a healthcare providers office refuse to forward an order to another healthcare place of service.....Words fail me!

It wont allow me to give zero stars and still post or I absolutely would! I recently donated blood at the Red Cross and received a call that my tests came back not so good. I was re tested by a doctor at the Pasadena branch on 8/21/17. When I recieved a call with my test results confirming the bad news from the Red Cross I was shocked that a receptionist was the one to deliver these results. Since I received the results on 8/23 I have asked to speak to my doctor and left messages 3 times and have not received a call back. The last receptionist told me the doctor seen my messages. I am supremely disappointed in the way this has been handled by your staff. I will never return to your practice and will be letting everyone I know to consider the same.

I love Dr Allison Shields! However, it is annoying that I have to make 2 separate appointments and make 2 separate trips to the office if I have more than one medical concern. Dr Shields was out of the office so I had to see a different doctor and I mentioned I thought I had a sinus infection (headaches, pressure), but wasnt sure if it could be from the car accident I was in (what I was being seen for). The doctor I saw couldnt even check to see if it was a sinus infection. So I was told I had to make another appointment. If it wasnt a sinus infection and was due to the accident, it would be good to know so I dont have to make an additional trip. So I will be seeing Dr Shields in a few days.

This review is just based on my experience making an appointment. I just contacted the office about an appointment and the staff member I spoke to was rude, and seemed to be taking their bad day out on me. If this is anything like how the appointment with the doctor will be, I will be seeking medical care elsewhere. I am praying this is just a one time thing and my visit will be much more friendly and enjoyable, but after that conversation and reading some other reviews, my expectations are pretty low.

As long as you follow what the doctors request EXACTLY and PROMPTLY with a yessir and nosir and without question this place is great. Fail to follow exactly with a smile blindly accepting the physicians as the gods they know they are and you will find yourself blackballed via your electronic medical record regardless of whether you have a life threatening illness that requires medication only they can prescribe.

Dr. Jansen is absolutely amazing! Ive seen her for years, sometimes for serious health concerns. She takes time with you and is always glad to answer any and all questions you have. I highly recommend her!!
