My fur son, Timmy, he 12 yrs old, became ill. He not displaying anything crucial day one,, but it was noted he did not feel well the following day, he needed urgent care. I found that the Vet in Royal Oak, I had taken my dog to was closed, no longer. I did not have time to do or think, I knew I needed Timmy to be seen by a Vet. I went to Google and viewed the Vets in my local area. I found one, and his reviews scared me, truly scared me. He this Vet was nixed automatically. I then found Blue Cross Animal Hospital, Dr. Sharma. I went to his website, I scoured it, read all the reviews I could find on him. None to be negative. The rating here on Google+ is 0-3, 3 being Excellent. I wish I could give Dr. Sharma 5 stars. Something within Dr. Sharma, his website, his photos, his photos with his own Dogs, gave me the confidence that I needed. I was able to bring Timmy in that morning. Timmy was very very ill, much worse than I had realized. Timmy was provided the best of care, with Dr. Sharma. I cannot thank him enough. Timmy normally not to find men trusting, he felt comfort with Dr. Sharma, it was very noticable. His touch, his compassion, his education, I put Timmys life into his hands. Timmy again his illness may have been for weeks gone undetected, I cannot say, it was apparent he was near his end. Dr. Sharma and his staff were available each time I called in crisis in the last week. Never once was I told, Dr. Sharma will have to call you back. No, his staff asked him my questions right then, me given his response if he was unable to come to the phone. In the time of need I never felt Timmy was neglected or to wait, Dr. Sharma was with him each day, available. I cannot say enough for him, his practice, his staff. Timmy passed in my arms this morning, and I am so thankful that Dr. Sharma was his doctor, that he was in his care. Had I gone to another Vet, I am doubtful, that anyone could have or would have provided him with higher compassion, medicine, care as Dr Sharma did. Thank you Dr. Sharma and Staff, on behalf of Timmy, my daughter, we know you did everything possible.

Dr. Lynn severely misdiagnosed our cat Lucy. She only had one kidney and my partner and I have spent quite a bit of money over the years to ensure her one kidney is healthy and functioning properly. Our cat went in one evening due to her not eating earlier that morning. Dr. Lynn said she was bloated and felt a pancreatitis test was necessary. We agreed of course. Earlier that week Dr. Lynn was bitten by a cat and seemed very concerned with her hand and not too interested in looking at our cat. She had her back turned to her the whole time. We mentioned could it be her kidney and she said in her words she does not have renal failure, I would smell it. That is exactly what she said and felt if was most definitely her pancreas and sent us home with antibiotics. The next morning our cat was much worse. We made an appointment that morning and she then saw Dr. Sharma. After some testing, Dr. Sharma called with very bad news, telling us our cat was in fact in renal failure and may not make it through the day. Sadly Lucy died the next day on a Friday. While we felt Dr. Sharma did everything he could to help our precious baby, we felt Dr. Lynn was negligent in every way. We will never know if it was our cats time to go, but after asking two qualified vets what they would have done. They responded back, saying Dr. Lynn most definitely should have tested her kidney right away due to her history and that saying she didnt smell renal failure was very unprofessional. So Im writing this review to say how disappointed I am at Dr. Lynn for not caring more for our baby than she should have. My partner and I are heartbroken to lose such a precious being that surrounded us with so much love and joy. We are now going to take steps to file a small claims lawsuit and write a personally letter to the board of veterinary medicine to have this case reviewed. This will not bring our Lucy back, but it will hopefully seek justice for her neglect.

We have 2 cats and LOVE Dr. Sharma. One of our cats had problems with his glands requiring two emergency surgeries and several frantic phone calls on my part, as well as urinary problems. Every time I called they always told me to bring him right in. Dr. Sharma always made time to take a quick look and ensure everything was normal even though it wasnt a scheduled appointment. For quick visits when nothing was wrong and no tests required he usually didnt charge us. We ended up experimenting with different food, suggested by Dr. Sharma and finally got our cats problems under control. It was a very difficult road for about 9 months but Dr. Sharma was persistent and helpful. Now our cat thankfully has zero issues. I cant say another vet would have taken the time and been as kind to our cat as Dr. Sharma was. I also want to add as others have that there are absolutely no surprises when it comes to cost. He is very up front about the cost of a procedure and reasonable. All of his staff are very kind and patient. We are truly thankful for Dr. Sharma, his staff, and his services. I would not hesitate to recommend this veterinarian.

I regret the day that I took my cat to this Vet. It is by the far the worst experience that I have had in my years of caring for animals. The staff, as nice as they are, lost records of a medication that my cat had serious reactions to. Dr. Lynn just blew that mistake off, acted like it wasnt a big deal, and then guessed which one she should send her home with. Well, it wasnt the right one, my beautiful cat was misdiagnosed that night and put down 2 days later. Dr. Lynn barely touched this sweet girl and was distracted and self involved, which are horrible characteristics to have when another life is in your hands. She was extremely unprofessional and I wish I would have found competent hands that cared about the well being of my little girl. Dr. Sharma is certainly a more experienced vet, however he is confrontational and didnt like questions. I think people should have questions around caring for their animal and not just take the word of their vet. It should be a team effort and not ego driven! All in all, this "team" didnt communicate and didnt seem to run well. I will never trust them with another one of my companions.

Today I had to take one of my cats to the vet. Generally not a huge ordeal, right? This normally laid back cat is almost 14 furious pounds of vet hating machine. I dread having to take him anywhere because of the resultant "hissy fits"/blood loss. (long story short, previously calm cat went to a vet who was pretty rough from the get go, traumatic for everyone involved. Now even getting into the car is an ordeal) Today my cat and I were shown nothing but kindness at the Blue Cross Vet Hospital by the entire staff. Even though I was completely mortified by my cats behavior, Dr. Sharma and several of his techs were calm and very friendly throughout the entire visit (yes, even when faced with the most epic of embarrassing kitty hissy fits) They also somehow managed to be gentle and calm with my cat while having to both muzzle and towel him. (have I mentioned hes a handful?) In fact, they were so nice I immediately made appointments for my other two (much much calmer) cats I definitely will recommend Dr. Sharma to anyone looking for a great vet. It says a lot that he is able to handle such a difficult pet!
